We stand on the cusp of a new season.....  and I gotta tell you, I'm a bit worried for my squad.

Will the maigc of Bruce Boudreau help us make the playoffs?
Will the Avs finally get a clue with their new coach?
Have the Jets finally figured out Pavelec is bad (put him on waivers today)?
Will STL implode or finally live up to the hype?

Central Division dogfight again this year.  So many good teams, so many teams on the up and coming... and then my squad still trying to figure out which they are and hoping they are not the one falling to earth to make room for the "young and hungry" Jets or "glad to be rid of Roy" Avs.  :-\

2)  Same question about the Imperial Ground Crew's big backpack?  I'm guessing this is just a dumb accessory for kids right?

Nope, there is a big scene in the movie where all the ground crew stop using their light batons to help Imperial Shuttle craft land and jump into action.  They plug the batons into the back of their suit and thier costumes light up and then they use the batons to create "hard light flight backpacks" and jump into the battle to take down X-Wings.

Here's a pic from right before the backpacks form...

(or maybe that's from TRON >:D)

So what's the deal with these new guys being Marines?

I've always envisioned Stormtroopers being their own branch of military forces...  Could these be the Stormtrooper's specialists then?

Shoretroopers = specialist stormtroopers stationed at the top secret Imperial military headquarters on Scarif, Shoretroopers patrol the beaches and bunkers of the planetary facility.

I think its as simple as Stormtroopers in cold wear 'snowtrooper' gear; Stormtroopers in the tropics/beach wear 'shoretrooper' armor; etc.

And Bodie's outfit, it's blue seemingly...  what is his role?

It sounds like he's an Imperial cargo shuttle pilot from Jedha...

The Death Trooper Specialist is interesting.  But seeing how we have a version of this trooper on the way in the WalMart 3.75" Black Series?  I may pass on this version.

I'm planning to pick up a few because a) they are a bit cheaper than Walmart 3.75" version and b) knowing Walmart, I'm not going to find as many of the Walmart TBS 3.75" version as I want. :P

One cool little non-toy thing from the Hasbro panel was a nice shot that showed the differences between the Scarif Stormtroopers - Grunt, Squad Leader, and Captain:

Admiral Raddish looks fun, though hands are bit humanoid for his species.

Cuz he's a grey-green skinned polar region Mon Cal, which are apparently slightly different from the red-pink tropical region Mon Cal guys we've seen before.

(not making that up either]

Snippets from the Q&A, courtesy of Star Wars Action News =(click the link for all their Q&A posts)

- another 6" scale vehicle next year
- they'd rather weather a character than a weapon
- no plans for SWRebels cartoon characters in Walmart 3.75" Black Series
- more than 5POA is something they wrestle with but 5POA provides best balance between sculpt, deco, POA and price.
- nothing to add on the 40th Anniversay teases/rumors
- trying to standardize the 6" Black Series figure peg holes
- more will be revealed at Toy Fair

Looks like we don't have a thread for this yet...

Tomorrow is Hasbro's panel at NYCC.  Should be interesting to see if there is any more that will be revealed before the movie... definitely sounds like there is more 3.75" and 6" in the pipeline, just a matter of when they are going to reveal it.

2016 NYCC Panel details:

October 06, 2016, 12:15 PM - 1:15 PM (ET)
Room 1A21
Join members of the Hasbro Star Wars team as they discuss the ever popular Hasbro Star Wars line that hit shelves this fall! Attendees will get an in-depth look at Hasbro's latest action figure offerings with a look at new product coming later this year.

Yeah, looks like it's $29.95 for the 4 BAD again....  looking forward to the eventual complaining about the EE Astromech pack again!

Whoever is running that auction is great at stealing Official Hasbro PR pics, I guess. :P

I know this was originally promised a year ago when this line came out, but have any of the waves ever been available online?

Hit or miss.  Wave 1 (Luke/Chewie/Vader) was online right away.  Wave 2 and 3 were put up after a long delay (months after retail release).  Wave 4 (Leia, Han, Phasma) was, but it was secondary sellers at crazy prices.

Oh man, gotta start rounding up some cash here.  Really hoping this goes through, these look like so much fun...  best of luck to you guys, Paul!  :)
