I checked it out earlier before the GG crap and it came up "This product is currently unavailable".

Knowing my luck, it will come on when I go to bed soon.

If it does come up, can someone get me one please (2 would be great). I know I'm going to miss it.  :-\

This pre-order is just for SDCC pick-up right?

I was under the impression that this was all this was, a way for you to stand in the "Pre-Order" line instead of they "buying line" (although the lines will probably be equally long  ::)).

No use pre-ordering if you don't plan to be there to get your order...

"Fans who pre-order this figure must pick it up at the Star Wars Pavilion at Comic-Con, which is in the front row of the exhibit hall near Lobby D. Orders for figures that are not picked up will be cancelled and refunded. No holographic Leia figures ordered for pick-up at Comic-Con will be shipped. "

Sounds like you can't even place a pre-order for a buddy to pick up with all the "photo ID required" talk.

I guess I'll just wait until after SDCC to see if someone can help me land this exclusive...

Other Toy Lines / Re: 2005: What Are You Collecting?
« on: June 1, 2005, 02:14 PM »
Well, looking back on my January plan...

Star Wars
With RotS, I'll stick to my basics.  2 of each of the NEW basic figures (1 to open, 1 to keep carded), 1 of each of the recards/repaints (to keep carded), 1 of each of the NEW deluxe/ultra type figures, NEW vehicles, NEW box sets, etc.  I don't buy repack vehicles (usually).  The only thing I keep packaged is one of every basic figure carded.  Everything else gets opened.  I'll also probably continue to pick up some of the Galactic Hero 2-packs to stash away.

No Unleashed, no Master Replica props, no Gentle Giant busts or Bust-Ups, no Code 3 vehicles, no 12" stuff, no Sideshow Satues, no Attakus statues, no Kotobukaiya statues/models, no Die Cast vehicles, no Micro-Machine vehicles, no Action Fleet vehicles, no Jedi Force figures, no SW board games, no Wookiee super-soakers, no more WotC minatures, no Hallmark ornaments, no posters, no replica helmets, no Attacktix figures, no SW plush "buddies", etc etc etc.

I seem to have stuck to this plan quite well.  I've managed to stay away from the non-3.75" stuff with one exception (C3 GG Mini-Bust).  I'm happy with the RotS stuff I've picked up so far, so I guess I'll keep on with the old plan.   ;)

I'll pick up any new Sesame Street, Muppets, Batman (villians and major characters such as Gordon, Alfred or NW), and of course Star Wars.  Probably try to track down my first box set (Early Bird, Speeder Bike, or TRU 5-pack).  Maybe branch out into some of the other lines too if I happen across any I like.  :)

Again, pretty much stayed the path.  I picked up all the box sets I was missing (EB Kit, TRU 5pk, Speederbike, Max Rebo), so I guess actually I've been a bit more aggressive on these than I was planning... it's no joke they really ARE more addictive than crack.   :-\

DC Direct
I'll pick up some of the Green Lantern Wave planned for March to add to my Green Lantern shelf.  Will also pick up any new Pocket Hero sets that they announce (but I think this line is dead :().

Hmmm... I ended up NOT buying the GL wave of DCD figures.  No new Pocket Hero sets are planned either, so I think I'm done with DCD unless something really cool pops up.   :)

And that's about it.  Nothing else on my radar right now.  Not really interested in any movie lines this summer or fall and I've managed to stay away from the other tempting lines (Marvel Legends, LotR, etc).  I guess it's just Hasbro 3.75" Star Wars and selected Kubrick lines for me.   ;)

Conventions / Re: CONvergence 2005, Bloomington MN, July 1 -3
« on: June 1, 2005, 11:34 AM »

I'm tentatively planning to go.

I will be out of town camping/fishing, so I think I'll miss this one again.

Because of the Holiday Weekend and the e-mail glitches we experienced, we've extended the Holo Yoda Give Away contest for a few more days.

The new ending date is tomorrow - Thursday, June 2nd.

At this point, we do not think that we lost any entries at the e-mail address.  However, if you sent in an entry over the weekend, please send a PM to either JediMAC or myself and we will double-check that your entry was recieved.

Thanks and Good Luck to those who entered!

JD Sports Forum! / Re: NBA 2004/05

Anybody still watching this stuff, or do you guys just all tune out when your teams are toast...?

Yes, when it comes to the NBA (this year especially) I'm a total "tune out" when my team is elimnated.

I'll usually come back for Game 1-2 of the NBA Finals.  I will then stick around for the remainder of the NBA Finals if it isn't a complete blow-out after 2 games...

I just don't like the NBA enough to stick with it until the end, the NBA Playoffs are TOO LONG.  I liked it better when it was best of 5 to start...

Saga Collection '06 / Re: VOTC and OTC Returns in 2006!
« on: May 31, 2005, 02:17 PM »

I LOVE this idea, my wallet however doesn't.   :-\

If they can promise us they will slow down, then that is cool.  If they start releasing the vOTC-2 at the same rate as RotS (60+ figures in 6 months), I'll go crazy.

If they can break it down to 4-6 new figures once every other month, then I'm OK with it (even at $10 a figure w/ the fancy clamshell).

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Can Sith Beat Titanic?
« on: May 31, 2005, 02:10 PM »
$271 million and counting after 12 days in the theaters!   :o

Revenge of the Sith has already passed both of the two Harry Potter Sequels and stands at #26 on the US Box Office Rankings after only twelve days!

Only about $19 million to go to catch The Empire Strikes Back (#22), then another $20 million after that to catch Return of the Jedi (#18) and Attack of the Clones (#17)!

$39 million over the rest of the summer should be extremely easy, and at this rate $400 million and the top 5 all-time are still well within reason.   :)

May Update:

Target - 3x RotS Battle Arenas (yes, I broke down and bought them  :-[)
Target - 7x RotS Deluxe Figures (1x each wave 2 and 3/4 of wave 3)
Target - 3x RotS Basic Figures (2x Dark Wookiee and 1x #2 Anakin Variant)

Luckily most everything was price-adjusted during Target's sale the week of the movie saving me about $18.   :)

January 2005 Total:   $191.51 with tax/shipping
February 2005 Total:   $30.28 with tax/shipping
March 2005 Total:   $96.29 with tax/shipping
April 2005 Total:   $1041.60 with tax/shipping
May 2005 Total:   $138.01 with tax/shipping

Star Wars: $1402.02
Other:  $95.67

Total = $1497.69

Whew.   :)   Managed to keep things under control in May.  Only grabbed the newest stuff and was able to cool off on Army Building to keep the month around $100 where it belongs.

edit: Of course, after I wrote this, I found 3/4 of Deluxe wave 3 - another $32 out the door in May.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Where's Worse?

Detroit or Cleveland?

Tigers vs. Indians = Tigers (I hate the Indians more  >:()
Pistons vs. Cavs = Pistons (Until King James wins a title, no love for the Cavs)
Lions vs. Browns = draw
Red Wings v. nothing = Red Wings

I guess Cleveland is worse - no NHL!  Hmmm.. but since there is no NHL anywhere, I guess that doesn't matter.

Plus, Detroit makes all those cars.  I like my car... of course it was built in TN, not Detroit.   :-\

Hmmm... this is harder than I thought.  I guess I'll pass for now and them come back to it later once I have time to weigh all the pros and cons.

Since SW Weekends have started and we haven't seen or heard anything, I'm going to assume that the new ST Droids were a no show for the event...  :(

If not, you might want to check out the JediDefender Give Away Page for the details on how you can enter to win one!   ;)

I just hate that my favorite jedi alien - Plo Koon got punked out like that  :'(. But now that we've sen him pilot a starfighter, hopefully we'll get one for him :)

Just an FYI, but there are definately plans for Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter in toy form this summer.  ;)

Zombies on Alias? Damn... I've got the last like 10 episodes of Alias in my tivo... I really need to sit down this weekend and have a little Alias marathon to catch up.

Not to take this off-topic, but yeah - the zombies/infected on Alias were pretty cool.  It was a great episode, I love the Rimbaldi stuff!
