Saga '02-'04 / Re: Another Jedi Youngling 2-pk

Glad to see that you fellas like the idea, I would really like for them to do this.  I could go for a Jocasta Nu w/ that Padawan and a robed Obi Wan with a Padawan and the pole device that shows the map of the galaxy.

Well, I am a little disappointed because I was hoping to see at least one more wave of figures, perhaps a cool EU Clone Wars version of Amidala, Dooku, another red Battle Droid, and perhaps a couple of all new Jedi.  I'm sure the red Battle Droid will continue to be repacked though.

The 3-pks look awesome, but with the end of the CW line in December, just how many of those Clone pks are really going to be available?  Think they will ship solid cases of them?  They really should!!!

The vehicles aren't too shabby, I do question the Gunship though.  Wouldn't an AT-TE have been better?

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Kenobi 7, Jango Fett 6
« on: July 20, 2003, 02:46 PM »
I'm still waiting for an ultimate Jango, with lots of articulation and no action features. And of course a removeable helmet, missle and two jetpacks. Maybe they could even base him off the video game and throw in a sniper rifle and some grenades...

Great ideas there Lando you Scoundrel...

...as for the abundance of Obi Wan figures, the only problem I have is with the ones that suck...which most of them do.  The Coruscant Chase, Acklay, and Pilot ones all really suck I think, so we really do need a well rounded one.  I think the Outlander Club version looks excellent and can't wait for it to come out.  Count me in for at least two of them to open.

Think it will happen somewhere down the road?  I don't see why not, or perhaps a new robed Obi Wan with a youngling.

Who wants it it to be made?  Or a Jocasta Nu with the young Jedi from the library scene?

Didn't Hasbro announce somewhere that there is another single carded white Clone coming out?

Looks like we won't be seeing these at Walmart...

...not too sound like a hoarder, but I am going to get as many of these that I see at retail.

I also want to get a few of the Droid sets and a couple Jedi sets too.

Silverzed, you have some great points.  I do hope that the Walmart situation improves, but lucky for most of us there are either TRU stores or Target stores that should have this stuff in soon, hopefully in sufficient quantities (but not too sufficient; ie; overproduction).

Then, there's always the e-tailers.  Thank the maker for them!!  Well, some of them at least.

If I woke up tomorrow morning with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am right now.  The past 48 hrs has revealed so much awesome new stuff coming out that I am almost at a loss for words, as there is almost too much great stuff coming out that I don't know where to begin!!

All I can say for sure is that 2004 should be a hell of a year for Star Wars collecting, provided that the retailers get this stuff in and Hasbro doesn't screw up distribution and production numbers.

The Walmart announcement that they will not be carrying Clone Wars product may be a blessing in disguise, as the other retailers may not be getting in much SAGA product due to the Clone Wars stuff, so Walmart might actually be saving us a lot of headaches because they might actually get in substantial SAGA product.

It looks like this year has a TON of POTENTIAL, so we should all be happy for that.

What are your thoughts on all this new stuff?  Any negativity?

Sweet, I saw the pic of the 4th one, but guess what?  The pic I was referring to must be of a 5th Clone!!!

A while back, Bounty Hunter GNT posted a pic of another Clone in a firing position on the Rebelscum forums.  I am 99.9% sure that it is indeed a different Clone than the one shown recently.

So what are your thoughts everyone on these extra Clones?  I love it!

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Jabba's Palace Playset anyone? Look...

I don't see them ever making anything to that scale or that detailed, but I would pay upwards of $250.00 each for well done playsets of the following by Hasbro if they would just do it:

- Death Star
- Sail Barge w/ Sarlacc Pit
- Jabba's Palace
- Echo Base
- Cloud City
- Theed Palace
- Nemoidian Battleship
- Geonosis Arena
- Coruscant

Wow....................

I could go on and on and on about these figures.  Hasbro really can make some outstanding figures when they put their minds to it and aim at the collectors.  If they would just put forth this level of quality year round...

...and if they could get their distribution problems taken care of...

Yep, it would be awesome.  Way to not use your heads Hasbro!

Anyone know where a link is to a pic of that 4th Clone I mentioned?

Alrighty!

STANDING

I think the Clones are awesome, especially the standing one.  I remember a scene in the movie right when the Clones jump off the Gunships and make time for the Jedi to board, a Clone standing in that exact position firing upon the Droid Army.  I really, really like this figure.

KNEELING

Another great figure, it really adds another dimension to dioramas when some of your army-builders are in a realistic pose such as this.  Great job Hasbro!!

LYING DOWN

Eh, I would prefer another standing Clone in a different position instead, but it's still alright, so I can't complain, especially with how cool the other two Clones are.

I have noticed that it's cool that the heads are easily interchangeable, and the torsos should just pop right off and be able to switch them around too on the different sets of legs to make a larger variety of armies.

4TH CLONE

I seem to remember seeing somewhere a 4th Clone made for this line, I would not be surprised if it replaces the lying down Clone in later waves.

Overall, I give this pack an A+, and want to get at least 10 more of them!  Excellent work Hasbro, except the case distribution should have one more of these and one less Droid Launcher.

Sweet, I found a set of these too the other day, including the Droid 3-pk.  I got two of each of those. and passed on the Droid Launcher and Jedi Starfighter.  I'm sure I'll end up getting those when money isn't so tight.

I also found the Wat Tambor wave on the same day!!  As well as two more Snowtroopers! :)
