Hey Hasbro! / Re: sailbarge and sarlacc pit
« on: November 9, 2003, 02:13 AM »
I'd take a Sarlacc Pit as a deluxe...er, "ultra" figure or even packaged as a beast like the Acklay or Reek.

If I don't get one soon, I foresee a 5 lb. brick of sculpy being hatched open and lots of carving some saturday morning...

It would have been good if he had a moulded stump with protruding wires and all.

 :D

It's just an X-acto knife and a paintbrush away...

Did you get the big Treebeard or the little Treebeard, Dressel?  I got the little one just today, and I like it, too.  It would be nice if this leads to another Ent or two.

The "little" one, even though it's huge.  Yeah, a variant army builder Ent assortment would rock the party.  It'd be nice to have them crunching the Uruk Hai from that 3" line  :D

Jon Secada's greatest hits.

I know I leave a little to be desired in the trendy department.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: New Ultra Clone shots at GH.com

I'm really hoping that these are not going to be packed 1x or 2x per case of 12 figures.  Hasbro has to know that full cases of these things would disappear in a heartbeat.  I also think that they should be offered like the army building 4 packs of RFTs and Stormies at the Fan Club.  It'd be so much easier to just order 5 packs that way then to try to hunt down a significant quantity of these at retail.

How many of these will Hasbro sell?  As many as they produce.

Out of curiousity, how much were they at Disneyland?

They're $10 each Matthew.  I might be heading back down that way in a few weeks, so give me a holler if you want me to snag you any (if they're still around)...

How many "Matt"s are we up to now?   ???

Well, you got the "pretty disgusting" part right at least  ;)

Unless you're pregnant and have a hankering for a cream cheese, pickle, and coffee grind sandwich.

CHEWIE, have you thought of applying for a job at HASBRO.?

I thought of that for him.  I realized it just by looking at the topics he's created on RS for the past year.  We loves CHEWIE.

« on: November 5, 2003, 10:39 PM »
This isn't a good enough sale for me to cleanup the garbage that WalMart has been offering for the past year.  Their stock is about a year behind the Targets in my area.  Target was AWESOME in August and September, but lately has about 30 each of Rambo Yoda and Anakin CW.  Me thinks they need to go a tad lower than $3.99 on these, but whatta I know.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Hasbro Jedi Points Survey - Did U Get One?
« on: November 5, 2003, 10:37 PM »
I haven't gotten mine yet.  I'm quite certain that the overwhelming response will be a strongly negative one regarding collectors' outlook on the current redemption system for Jedi Points.

At least Hasbro wants to see what we think, right?

Roommates who use up your last coffee filter and don't tell you; then you wake up at 6 AM the next morning and head for the coffee pot to find no filters and no way to wake up.

That burns my ass right to the bone, man.

« on: November 5, 2003, 09:00 PM »
Personally I'm sick to death of main characters.  They're rarely done right the first, or even second time.  There's just too much of them.  Admittedly, I'm biased.  I'm more into Star Wars for the armies and the battles.  Oftentimes when they release main characters in this outfit and that outfit I just skip some of them.  I NEVER let an army builder go though.  HOF assortment?  Pass.

Well, if Hasbro's going to start doing this, I've got to say that the best idea in the world would be to do this with some of the figures that they've done intentional head variations on, like the Endor Trooper, RFT, IO, etc.

But instead of making us buy two seperate figures, just put BOTH heads into the same carded blister, and let us do the head swapping ourselves!  One head already on the figure of course, and another packed in as an "accessory".  How awesome would that be?

God, I'm brilliant.   :P

But we'd still need another body for the other head, otherwise the whole army building purpose would be sorta shot to hell if you've got one trooper with a beard and another trooper without his body  ;)

I tell ya, I wish Hasbro would release tons of head variants for each kind of trooper, and like, DRAMATIC head variants, not RFT style.
