Reading through the making of ROTJ I was amazed at how involved Kasdan was with the story as well as how much Lucas had shaped the prequels already back then.  I'm interested to see how much Sequel talk they may have talked about too...but I'm guessing they left that out of the book.

Interweb speculation is point to a Teaser Trailer for Episode VII showing up next week.  The last 3 Wednesdays, the Teaser Trailers for Episodes IV, V an VI have been posted on the SW Facebook page.  Next Wednesday is the 1 year anniversary of the Sale to Disney...we'll see what next Wednesday brings.  They don't even have a cast yet, do they?

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series - 2013 Wave 2
« on: October 23, 2013, 08:33 AM »
According the internet she is 5'1" and he is 6'1"...she is wearing sandles and he is wearing boots.  Just asthetically and after the R2 debacle of Wave 1 it doesn't look good but according to my math it is accurate

I take back what I said...just doing some scaling, they are almost spot on to the actual heights of Fisher and Ford.  I think we're just used to having really tall Princess Leia figures :-[

Is it Hasbro's plan to make one figure in each wave in 5" scale vs the others?

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Official Movie Thread

I've talked to a couple of buddies about it...I am an engineer and all of the momentum crap is dumb, no doubt but I didn't have a problem suspending belief and 99% of the public has no idea about any of the actual physics behind the scenes happening.  And I get the whole different orbits of the ISS and Space Shuttles and Hubble, but again this is science fiction not science fact.

All that said, I sat there almost the entire time with my sphincter clenched...it was so intense and the sense of dread and her panic to eventual calming through the whole situation was amazing.

The cinematography which I haven't said yet is great beyond words.  Again all of that stuff reminded me of the old IMAX NASA movies...it truly brings you into what it would be like to be an astronaut

We are 18 years past the debut of POTF2...POTF2 started 18 years past the debut of SW. Those first POTF2 figures are now as old as vintage stuff in 1995

Being a child of the 80's I think I'm not alone in saying I wanted to be an astronaut when I was young.  Gravity brought all of that back and more...all of the reviews are spot on, it is absolutely fantastic.  The effects and scenes are breathtaking and also brought me back to watching NASA IMAX films of yore.  I'm giving it a solid 10 out of 10 (10 being the highest).

I really can't seem them going nuts on imperial officers unless it is a multipack style...Ozzle, Piett, Jerjerrod, Scheckil, Jir, Lennox etc etc

116
Yeah he more or less is done in my book...nobody asks for E-3PO anymore

117
Also interesting...with Farr and Snowspeeder Wedge if you go back to the original 2005 poll...only 5 figures remain of all the ones people wished for:

Admiral/Captain Piett Resculpt
Wiorkettle
Treva Horme
Lee Phenets
Hobbie (Snowspeeder)

Hobbie was made but in X-Wing form...so that one is sort of an asterisk

General Veers
Major Bren Derlin
Bespin Guard
Ice Cream Maker Guy
Zev
Luke Skywalker (Frigate)
Captain Needa
Torryn Farr
Lando (Smuggler)
Princess Leia (Frigate)
Hoth Rebel Soldier
Dack Ralter

Hobbie
Snowtrooper
Han Solo (Torture)
Hoth Soldier (Echo)
Luke Snowspeeder
Ugnaught
Probe Droid

Imperial Naval Trooper
Admiral Piett
Wes Janson
Treva Horme
Wiorkettle
E-3PO
Wedge
4-LOM
Han Carbonite
Han Hoth
R5-M2
Moff Jerjerrod
Princess Leia (Hoth)
AT-AT Driver
Darth Vader (holo)

Lee Phenets
Utris M'Toc
Zuckuss
Luke Skywalker (Bespin)

With the reveal of Torryn Farr...only 6 figures remain to close out the "Named on every Wishlist since 2005" List

Cliegg Lars
Torryn Farr
Tey How
Sgt Doallyn
Kitster/Wald
Sim Aloo

Hmm...I just got the Ewoks but no Scanning Crews

I'll be surprised if both make the cut because I don't recall hands ever being used as switchout pieces unless they were sculpted to include a weapon of some sort.

Ponda Baba had switch out hands
