Saga '02-'04 / Re: Pegwarmer of the Year Award
« on: April 4, 2003, 03:08 PM »
On a totally unrelated note...plastic is made based off components recovered from Oil.  I was thinking today of a common War Protest chant "No Blood For Oil"...

Perhaps it should be: "No Blood For Oil Unless it Is For the Creation of Star Wars 3 3/4" Action Figures or their larger 12" Counterparts"

I also have often thought of the fact that a lot of product can be shipped right back to the factory and placed in ye olde extruder and made into something new...maybe I'll do that in my basement :P

Saga '02-'04 / Same Body, Different Heads
« on: April 4, 2003, 02:26 PM »

Hasbro recently told Rebelscum that this scenario is the only way we would get such tertiary background characters as the above Faytonni and Ak-Med Beq.  While this isn't the greatest sign in the line's health IMO there are some instances where I would perfectly fine with them doing it...

Rebel Pilots (New Heads with Deco'd Helmets)
Ewoks (Two different size bodies with different cowels and paint apps)
Astromechs
Protocal Droids
Imperial Officers

Etc etc...

What do you think of this trend?

I was fine with figures like R2-Q5 and K-3PO which were straight repaints.  If this is what it takes to get some of the background of the background, I'm all for it!

Send your Wish List for 10[/i] 3 3/4" Figures to me or post them here, be it new figures, resculpts or even re-releases and I'll tally the votes.  After two to three weeks of list taking I'll publish the results and we will move on to the next movie.  This time around it is the latest movie in the saga SW:AOTC, or Episode II.  If you need help coming up with names check out the Official Sites Databank:   Episode II.  Have fun and thanks for sending in your lists (remember to limit it to ten)!

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: My Custom Astromechs
« on: April 4, 2003, 11:12 AM »
They look nice Brad.  I have a ton of Astromech customs that I should take some shots of.  Getting thos details though can be a bugger.  I find if I paint the arms and crevices first and then do a paint over of the body it works the best.

I've been playing a ton of Tiger Woods 2003 for ye olde PS2 lately.  I love this game and the courses and game play is amazing.  I am more of a Sports guy when it comes to gaming (especially Madden) I've been jonesin to pick up the TTT game though.  It looks sweet.

I also got a Logitech wireless controller last week which is nice but not as nice as the Sony wired models...
