Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Aayla Secura naked! - wip
« on: March 6, 2006, 10:47 AM »
On minor comment.  The way her hands are positioned, it looks like her lower right hand is bent at a very odd angle.

It was just a quick pose. I can put her in better 'positions' in future work in progress pictures. I'll have to look thru my wife's cloth pile for a piece that will work.

Kit'chn T'abel? Where's that?  ???

..... Oh wait! I get it! Sometimes it takes me a little while. Too many paint fumes. :-[

So you suggest to paint the whole thing and just add the little tassle/pouch thing to her weist? How about using a very thin layer of sculpty for the shirt in order to give it some texture?

I'm planning on dremeling the top and gluing it on. Then I'll paint the pants and boots. Of course softgoods could be really cool for the shirt too. We'll see. I've just got to get the skin color to match.

Star Wars Action Figures / Aayla Secura finished
« on: March 5, 2006, 04:54 PM »
No not the actress but the Microlady version! ;D  After the success of the Microlady Slave Girl Leia, I've decided to follow it up with a Microlady version of Aayla Secura. As you can see I've added the head. Now I need to mix some paint to make the body match the head. Any suggestions on color or paint combinations for this?

Thanks Pen. The helmet is hollowed out but does not fit over his head. He's head is much too tall to fit completely inside the helmet.

As for yestertoys.com, I've never had a problem with their shipping.

Ok, my Rykrof is ready.

I bought a trail size of Smooth-sil 920 and Smooth-cast 60D from Smooth-On. I should be set to make one part molds for the twins.

Good stuff there. I like the Roron Corobb the best. I noticed your power droid labels are pretty ratty. I can make you new ones if you want.

$5.80 shipping for 5 figures. So $15.80 for 5 endor troopers with beard. The non beard version costs $8 instead of $2. I didn't know the non beard version with rarer.

I was just about to buy this when I remembered that I just bought all that stuff to make casts. I think its still going to be cheaper to buy from yestertoys.com than making casts. I've boughten from them before. Good service and fast shipping.

That's a good idea starkid. I like the use of the cloud car pilot with the "Rykrof" head. Did you do anything else to the figure besides a head swap?

He goes by murderweapon over at RebelScum and CommandoCustoms.

Back to topic, my Rykrof is almost done. I just need to add some detailing and give him a "Chewie-style" wash. Hopefully you won't be able to tell the difference between them. Maybe I'll have time for a second one.

Yah, I don't think I want to wait days for this stuff to harden. I think I'll follow as closely as possible your tutorial over at ironcow.

MurderWeapon, I'm sorry for getting mad at you.
