The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Black Series Rumors

IIRC, the time these were comong out...I was a little more focused on being a dad.  But here in Colorado Springs, the Vintage wave was pretty hit or miss.

I'm not saying their perfect (looking at ROTJ Han...also a Vader with swivel elbows)...but I never saw the sandtrooper and still display a couple of those roided up POTF2 sandtroopers in my collection room.  I'd love to get a few to retire those.

I can see Boba Fett in a lot of re-issues because he ALWAYS sells.

I'd watch that video on mute!   ;)

I'm really looking forward to this movie...it looks better than the first one!

These re-issue waves favor the patient.  This line rewards people for waiting.  Besides buying a bunch of the 5 POA figures for my 6-year-old, Hasbro has saved me a lot of money over the past few years.

I don't know...the past few episodes have been a bit of a slow burn, but you need to develop characters so that you can care about them before the writers and producers kill them off.  Also, it takes a while to establish that our main characters are living in a larger world than they know...and we've also gotten a glimpse on how far Negan's reach actually is.

He is by far the worst bad guy in the comics....and I like how they've translated the character to TV.

Star Wars Anthology / Re: Rogue One (SPOILERS)
« on: November 29, 2016, 08:36 AM »
I'm pretty excited for this movie...probably more than I was for Episode VII.  From an article I read about Gareth Edwards' shooting this movie more like a war film...(the crews were all in costume just in case they were inadvertently in the shot because they were so organic), to the nostalgic factor of Vader, most likely Tarkin, and even Bail Organa and Mon Mothma being in the film, but not focusing too much on those characters.  As well as the imagery from the previews and no hint of JJ Abrams being involved in the story....this could be the best film made by Disney so far!

I'm fairly convinced I won't see these or wave 6 until 16 December.

The same thing happened with TBS Episode VII waves last year.

Rogue One / Re: Retail Prices/Sales/Discounts

Already wasted 45 minutes on EE, HTS, Gamestop and TRU.com this morning looking for something on sale that was actually worth buying. No luck so far.

Still holding out hope for Amazon...

Awww....you still have hope.  That's so cute.

How do sites not anticipate traffic on ticket sales...screw Fandango

I purchased my ticket for Thursday Night through Cinemark.com.  It was slow, but it went through.  I like that IMAX now has reserved seating, so I was able to pick which seat I wanted.

I couldn't get tickets for the next day when I take my oldest son...but I was able to use Fandango for those.  Getting both sets of tickets took me about 20 minutes.

45 minutes later, my fan alert from Fandango came through alerting me that tickets for Rogue One were available for purchase.   ::)

Can 7-9 year olds play Rock Band / Guitar Hero?  I've played those a few times and they seem pretty fun.

I've tried a little with my 6 year old, but I think he's a little too young for it.  I bet if I let him play more...he'd be better.  It could be worth it with your kids Dave.

I find the Lego games always fun Matt, and a lot of replay value...  While I don't like it, Battlefront is a fairly tame shooter game.  Titanfall I love and consider it a little less violent too since it's got robots and stuff.  Shooters may be a little too advanced for the youngest though. :(  My gf's kids did ok with them though at that age but that was a long time ago.

Hell, I bought an X-box one back in July and other than Halo5...I've just been replaying Mass Effect!  :D
