That's cool Dafoo, and I see your point.  I just think they did a good job overall.

True there were some Jedi that they seemed to introduce just to kill off, then there were others that were in a few books and then they ended up making the ultimate sacrifice to save others.

As far as the Jedi not being able to use the force on the Vong....meh somewhat.  I thought they covered this well that the Jedi were going to have to come up with new tactics to defeat the Vong, which they eventually started doing.  The stuttering fire to defeat the dovin basils as well as the Jedi using the force to push proton torpedoes through space...I think they called them shadow bombs.

I would say that they are both wrong.  Since Tarkin didn't say that phrase, the correct answer should've been "No such quote" or something to that effect.

Meh, who cares...it's not like you're going to win anyting playing these trivia games.  ;D

Ahh but Jesse...the steamroller concept is what every general tries to achieve!

I was reading through some of the news for the game and they do talk about the ability to make factories, so it looks like you're going to have the ability to at least manufacture your units during the battle.  So I think there will be some sort of resource building.

I wouldn't mind the Command Point system as long as there's no cap to the amount that you get.  That would happen in FC unless you incorporated a cheat.  If they go with a command point system, I think you should accrue them by the amount of troops you have in the field, or controlling certain points on the map.  FC tried to do this, but you I never saw my CP rise faster compared to the different points on the map I controlled, and then there was that cap.

One other item I read on the site is that your success or failure on any level will have an affect on how well you do on subsequent levels.  This is why I wouldn't want a cap on CP or another reason why I would want some sort of resource building.

Who knows...they may come up with some wierd thing we've never heard of before!

That's wrong.....the correct quote is "Enough of this.  Lord Vader, Release him!"

The graphics on this game do look really tight.  I really hope they don't go with that command point system that FC had.  Or if they do, they need to make it a LOT better.

I like the idea of building factories to get resources though....although that would be tough in some of the space battles.

Nice stuf Dale, Thanks.

The thing about Columbia that made me stop and think was is the fact that foam has been comming off durring evey lift off and that was the first time that it caused significant damage. It made realize that evey launch was a craps shoot, kind of a scary thought (beyond the million technical things that could go wrong.) I certainly hope they can figure it out, but perhapse this will push them toward a new launch vehicle.

Actually, the original foam they used on the tanks did not break off as much.  But NASA engineers decided to change the foam sometime in the 90's to make it more "environmentally friendly" That's when the orbiters were sustaining damage due to foam breaking off of the tank.

I started Summer of 78 when I got my first Star Wars figures.  Granted, I was 7 and they were my toys, but I think I still have the cardbacks from all my figures and that's not something I did with any of my other toys.  Granted, a bunch of them are missing the proofs of purchase so I could score Boba Fett, Bossk and the Emperor by mail.  ;D

*spoiler below*

I agree with y'all about Snape.  Although, the fact that he really is going back to the deatheaters is a twist that took us all by suprise.  My mom also read the book and we were discussing it last night and she was wondering if there was a way that Dumbledore actually staged his death.  I don't see how that's possible, but he now has a portrait in the Headmaster's office so he can still help the others, and Harry is now on the path to stopping Voldermort.

It is going to be a looong wait for the next book!

I saw the bird-strike on the news....I wonder how many PETA protesters are protesting now?

I just finished a Master's course called Aricraft & Spacecraft design.  We have the technology to make an actual space plane, that when completed could make cheaper space missions and eventually build us up for a true spacestation and interplanetary/possibly interstellar missions.  The problem is politics.
