I saw the bird-strike on the news....I wonder how many PETA protesters are protesting now?

I just finished a Master's course called Aricraft & Spacecraft design.  We have the technology to make an actual space plane, that when completed could make cheaper space missions and eventually build us up for a true spacestation and interplanetary/possibly interstellar missions.  The problem is politics.

I found the Anakin/Palpatine set today, so I think I have them all.  Are they going to make any more of these?

On a related subject, is anyone going to get all the Plush M&M figures?  Are these also going to be at regular retail or just online (like the swshop?)?

just getting crushed maybe.

I thought the death was pat sensationalism. They just put it in there to "PROVE" to the readers that "oh you don't think we'll kill someone?!  POW, there chewie's dead, huh what do you think about that!  scared for Han and Luke now!?  Welll, you should be....you SHOULD BE!!"

Gratuitous and silly.

Kind of have to disagreew with you on this point Dafoo, because a lot of the books later on dealt with how Han dealt with the loss of his best friend and also his relationships with his family....especially Anakin.

Speaking of which...I was completely suprised when they killed him off!  :o

To bring the topic sort of back to point, I wonder how some of the old debates like "Carded vs. Loose" and "What color is Han's Hoth coat?" would play out here.

Well, I liberated my Medicom Vader from the Post Office today and all I can say is...WOW!

Beth, I don't understand your gripe about the codpiece and belt being one piece....I haven't taken mine completely apart, but it looks like two separate pieces on mine.  I also slid them down because they were riding high on my vader when I got him out of the box, but had no problems.

My only gripe is the hands.  Not a huge deal, but why didn't they all come with the little posts inside them like the Luke figure?  Completely minor gripe, but it took me a while to get the one out of the right hand because it was kind of wedged in there.

I do have it standing next to my Marmit Fett, and the Medicom Vader does look a bit small comparatively, but does look cool next to the Medicom Luke.

Guess I'll need a Medicom Fett when they make one...or better yet, if Siudeshow's are more similar to the Medicom figures....I'll be in Heaven!

My Medicom Vader sort of arrived today.  It's currently sitting at the post office and due to work, I'll have to wait until Monday to Liberate him and set him up next to the Medicom Luke.  :(

I used to read a lot of different titles....but kind of gave up on it years ago (about the time Spider-Man was having his little clone identity crisis).

A couple of years ago, I started reading Amazing Spider-Man again, when J. Michael Straczynski who was the creator of Babylon 5.  He really turned the title around and I was compelled to start reading it again.

The guy at the local comic shop is kind of suprised at me that I only buy the one title.  :D

That's pretty cool.  I got a set of Star Wars stamps a few years ago as a gift.  The pictures look similar to the ones used when the Special Editions were released.  I'm not sure what country they're from.....I'll check later.
