Well, I've taken the plunge in getting a couple of these sets for Colin to play with.  I got a good deal on the wilderness adventure set in great condition and even had the original box!

I will be on the hunt for the Northwoods Trailblazer set (with the yellow jeep) and then I will call it quits until Colin is more interested.

Are you sure that's not just the number of stormtroopers you have?   ;D

Amazing on how many figures have been issued in 17 years!

I saw it in IMAX 3D on Friday and thought it was good.  They definitely left a lot open, so there might be another one down the road.

Was that a pun, or did you typo shinebox?

Movie Heroes '12-? / Re: 2012 TPM Multi-Troop Transport (MTT)

I can see someone wanting this if they really like TPM and want to set up the ground battle. I don't have room for it on that shelf, and the price is too high.

I'm waiting for a re-release of the AT-TE.  I chose the BMF Falcon over that and although I have no regrets over that choice...I do want an AT-TE full of AOTC Clones in my collection.

Ha!  You do NOT want to see my list of Vaders.  ;)

Dude, I almost feel sorry for you with that character focus!

Visually, it definitely is pushing the envelope of what's out there.  PC gamers are going to need a high end machine for this, but Lucasarts in the past was great at pushing the bounds of technology.

It's really going to boil down to story.  This definitely has potential, but we are going to need the Lucasarrts of old for this!

I would welcome a more "grown up" Star Wars story.  Frankly, the Clone Wars series is crap...and the prequels were a little too kiddy for my taste, although there were some good points.

That being said....I don't believe anything that comes out of McCallum's mouth although it all probably smells like Lucas's balls.

Just buy from Protectopak.  They work great.

Does anyone remember these gems?  Here's a classic commercial!

Me and my best friend had a bunch of these sets when we were kids.  I remember taking my Northwoods Trailblazer set and the wilderness explorer set (A pontoon boat, Cessna plane and 6-wheel ATV...the boat connected to the plane to make a sea plane!) and we would play in the stream behind his house!  Great times!

I'll probably have to wait for DVDs since I've missed them.  I was excited when I saw Jenna Malone was in it!!

They are replaying all three episodes this Saturday.

I see your point, but one of my favorite all time games has been Unreal Tournament, so Battlefront was a fun game for me to play.

Of course, I'm a huge Mass Effect/KOTOR fan so something with a good story (like the Dark Forces games) would also be a draw for me.

And Force Commander was killed by the limited amount of troops you could bring to the battle.

I found a Kithba and Bespin Han tonight at Wal-Mart.  A year after the figure debuts and I finally see him on a peg.

Kicking myself because I missed getting a Nom Anor at some point.

Collect All 92! / Re: Biker Scout
« on: May 30, 2012, 02:40 AM »
The biker scout was definitely one of my favorite Imperial figures.  The first time I saw the character, was in a quick TV preview (the scene where Han is sneaking up behind him and steps on the stick).  I got so excited because Star Wars was coming back to the movie theaters!

Although the VTSC version is great, I still have the POTJ version up in my Endor display.  Still a decent (if slightly more static) figure.

I wouldn't mind another Battlefront type game.

This game is already better than Force Commander.   :D
