Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 50lbs in 6 weeks. Can I do it?
« on: June 19, 2005, 05:00 PM »
Best of luck man.

I'm one of those people who has a high motabolizm and have never been over weight (I've never been really physically fit either,) but I have three people in my life, one of them being my wife, who I have seen do amazing things with their weight. Your plan seems solid, and I agree with th red bull intack comment, but something else I'd like you to keep in mind, with my wife and friends, a lot of the wight loss was atributed to attitude. These people really wanted it, and especially with my wife, I could see their demeaner change for the better.  Once my wife started noticing her cloths were getting loose, she became a different person in a way, and I think that's gone a long way to helping her keep the wieght off (in addition to cuttiiing out snaks entirely :P)

Again, best of luck!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Official Movie Thread
« on: June 19, 2005, 04:50 PM »
I have yet to see Batman Begins, but it's high on my list. I did see Mr. and Mrs. Smith last night and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I thinks it's worth checking out.

But the film I'm raving about is Crash. Oh My God! It was fantastic. There are two scenes in that movie that are so masterfully done, that I just sit and think in awe of them. It really moved me and deserves high marks this comming awards season.

I'm planning on 6 or so Baccaras and hopefully 10 Tarkins.

Are you customizing the Tarkins? I'd like to, but I'm not that skilled. Share your ideas if you are. 8)

Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition
« on: June 19, 2005, 04:23 PM »
I can't see the picture. :-[

Hey, why don't we make this the official Vintage Acquisitions thread?

I just picked up the desert sail skiff mini rig and the Land of the Jawa's playset last night from a collectors shop, both loose.

The mini rig completes my regular mini rig set. Of the POTF ones, I have the Desert skiff and need the other two. I also need the ewok battle wagon, but don't know if that qualifies as a mini rig.

The Land of the Jawas is actually the first of those cardboard back drop playsets I've ever owned. It was in very good shape as well. The base and the escape pod were pristine clean with the stickers nice and sharp. The Cardboard was in very good shape. There are some dings, and the top two corners were a little creased, but over all, it's very solid. It also has all four of the standies and the elevator is incredibly clean with a pristine sticker. I'm very happy with it.

Now I need only 17 more loose vintage items to complete my collection. :P

Power of the Force 2 / Re: AT-AT walker
« on: June 18, 2005, 05:00 PM »
The At-At was one of the toys I really wanted in the vintage line, but never got when I was a kid, so I was really estatic when the POTF2 version came out. Truth be told though, I was disapointed with the electronics bacause I wanted to put my INT-4 in there.

Durring TRU clearance, I picked up 4 for $10 each. I don't know why, but I couldn't pass it up. Finaly, a few years ago, I bought a vintage one from e-bay for $60 shipped. Aside from a creased decal, it was in exceelnt shape with working electronics. It's one of the prides of my collection and has my INT-4 sitting inside. :)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS Deluxe Clone 3-pack
« on: June 18, 2005, 04:33 PM »
I found these last night.  The case was marked DLX WV 3 R1.5 or so.  It included:

1 x Clone 3-pack
2 x Crab Droids
1 x Spider Droid
1 x Yoda w/ Can-cell
1 x Vulture Droid

That's intresting. What color were the clones?

I don't count EPI Battle Droids when I give my counts, because I sold them all in favor of the AOTC/ROTS versions which are far superior in my opinion.

 :P

I think E1 Battle Droids can peacefully co-exist with the others for the simple fact that they are good for formation fodder. But, I do like the E2 and POTJ Driods much better.

I'll have to do a head count soon.

Well, no sooner did I cry "I'm never going to get any" I got a red one. Unfortunately, I was able to confirm the very annoying fact that the red clones are in the same case assortment as the white clones.

Can anyone tell us what the green pack rotation is?

I hope Hasbro isn't silly enough to pack all four (maybe five) variations in the same case assortment, that means that for ever 4 Female Jedi's on the Barc speeder, there will be only 1 clone varient. That's scary.

When the Target clones hit, I was very concerned that I wouldn't find any, but luck was on my side and I did. It's weird, but I have a feeling these are going to be even tougher to track down then those, especially since I can't hit stores in the morning.
