Vintage Kenner / Re: Wow
« on: June 28, 2005, 12:23 PM »
Because of this thread, I randomly went onto ebay yesterday just to poke around. I don't have any carded vintage and, but plan to start when I have better cash flow. Anyway, sorry to not have the link, but I found a 12 back stormtrooper with a BIN for $50. It was in decent shape with rough edges, but in a case they would have flatted out. I seriously must have missed it by 30 seconds because it was just listed and already bought. :'(

Turns out, a guy was getting rid of some of his carded stuff and was listing a new one every 15 - 20 minutes. I kept refreshing, but I couldn't get any, as soon as they got listeded, someone was able to buy it before I could click on it. It was like trying to win tickets on a radio station. Among what he listed was a 12 back Leia in excellent shape for $110 BIN, Lobot, an At-At driver and Teebo for $50 BIN each and an Ugnaught in excellent shape for $30 BIN. Some day, I will get good deals like this.

You're right. Stores couldn't get rid of them for a while there. I never understand how that happens.

I liked the AAT tank the best for cost and design. It's just nice.

Episode 1 / Re: Hardest Episode 1 figure to find?
« on: June 26, 2005, 11:19 PM »
The last wave of each collection was universally hard to find, and if you're going to go with the accesory sets as well, since they have the same card size, the second wave is harder to find than any of the figures.

Power of the Force 2 / Re: Favorite Ship

I know that'd cause a problem with the likes of a fatass figure like Porkins, so they'd have to adjust the cockpit a little, or something.†

Not really, I got a Porkins in there (waist up) with an R5 unit in the droid socket. I'll show you next time you're over.

I cast my vote for the Power F/X Xing, beautiful sculpt and the lights and sounds are outstanding.

The chin guns and the side guns are completely different molds and in my opinion larger and bulkier, but other than that, the body is identical.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Live 8 - Which one is Pink?
« on: June 25, 2005, 12:56 PM »
Just read this on Pink

David Gilmour made the following statement:
ďLike most people I want to do everything I can to persuade the G8 leaders to make huge commitments to the relief of poverty and increased aid to the third world. Itís crazy that America gives such a paltry percentage of its GNP to the starving nations. Any squabbles Roger and the band have had in the past are so petty in this context, and if re-forming for this concert will help focus attention then itís got to be worthwhile.Ē[/i]

This is awsome! Thanks.
