Getting off the Middle Earth series, all of which I read the for the first time between the release of Fellowship and The Two Towers...

I just finshed reading 2061 for the second time and stated on 3001 for a second pass. I think I'm going to read the odessey series every couple of years. After 3001, I'll be reading Stephen King's: On Writing and then Dan Brown's Angels and Demons.

I finally saw Sin City this weekend and loved it! I'm not so much into gore or violence or comic book movies for the sake of their respective genera's. I'm just into good movies and this was that in spades. I was very surprised that I found myself liking the Micky Rourke segment the best.

Next up, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Thanks for showing them to us all! You have the guts to show us what we all do with the figures when no one is arround. ;D

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: A thread about concerts.
« on: April 18, 2005, 12:51 PM »
The very first concert I ever went to was Sha Na Na in Allentown PA when I was 9 or 10.

In highschool, I saw the Monkees with Weird Al opening and the Hooters doing a benefit concert at a local High school. The Hooters concert was memerable because they played one of my favorate Beatles songs, "Hide Your Love Away."

In collage I saw Genesis in 92 and Yes twice during their Union tour. I also saw Meatloaf and Paul MaCartny, but missed Pear Jam and Bob Dylan when they came to town. Genesis is my favorate band, and when they started "Dancing on a Volcano," I could have died a happy boy.

After I moved to LA, I got see a lot more shows:

Pink Floyd
Rush - twice
The Who at the Hollywood bowl. - I'll never forget Pete Townsend's acustic "Drowned."
Yes - three times, once at a 500 person concert at Tower records, they signed autographs.
The Moody Blues at the Hollywood Bowl
John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl - I do this show every year.
Peter Gabriel - Up tour, I had 3rd row seats.
Bare Naked Ladies and Alanis Morrset
Spocks Beard - twice
Porcupine tree - at the house of blues

My freind also plays in a Genesis cover band, so I go to his shows every other month. They're excellent.

But I have to say, the best concert I've ever gone to, and may ever go to in my life, was last year by a cover band called The Musical Box. They reproduced the 1974 Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour with props, slides and costumes on loan from Genesis. The music was spot on and the vocals were uncanny. It was quite simply an amazing concert and ahead of it's time for 1974.

Added Lava Vader

KBZ can vouch for me as he saw my army grow on another site, but I have 43.
Luckily, some were gifts, some were from sales, some were on clearance and some were from trades.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Wal-Mart "Early Bird" Exclusive

Can I send both forms and UPC codes together in the same envelope with one receipt, or am I screwed?

Well, it looks like we have Hasbro's Answer:

I purchased more than one Star Wars Early Bird Kit on one receipt.  Can I use one receipt to send away for multiple kits?

Yes, you can send in for multiple kits together using one receipt as long as each kit you are sending away for is listed on that receipt. Also be sure to send in each original UPC code and certificate per kit.

Sounds like you should be OK putting both your redemption forms in one envelope...

Thanks Jeff! I bought 2 on-line for me and my neighbor, so I was wondering about that as well.

Has anyone opened one yet? What stickers come with it? The original twelve? If so, could this mean that the first 12 of the '06 line will be the original twelve?

The movie, definately the movie.

I would love more accessory packs. Just give us existing accesories, no need to make up anything new.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Holo Yoda?
« on: April 13, 2005, 03:32 PM »
Interesting tid bit I stummbled upon because of the Holo Yoda's. On Sunday 4/10 I tried o get credit for the Yoda I bought with a $25 purchase at MM and was denyed saying that corporate said they wouldnt allow it. Figuring that the manager was giving me a hard time, I went again on Monday to try again as was told that they couldnt because they dropped their price guaranty policy. I called Customer service to confirm, and that did go into effect on Monday the 11th, the day after I asked for the credit.

CS told me to talk to the manager from Sunday and ask for the credit and if they refuse, to call them back.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What does your JD forum member name mean?
« on: April 13, 2005, 03:14 PM »
A little tidbit about my name, Anton -

Invariably, when I hang out with a new group pf people, I get a nickname. Don't know why, might be because I'm a likable guy. ::). Anyway, my good friend George dubed me Anton because he was to lazy to say Anthony all the time, and I wouldn't accept Tony, so it stuck.

What were some other nicknames you ask? Ant, Squire, Tone (when I was going by Tony,) Swordy (becasue my last name is Sword), and Rusty (again, because of the Sword thing.)

Further trivia, I was strongly leaning toward going by the screen name Blix in honor of the character from Legend.
