Revenge of the Sith / Re: Wal-Mart "Early Bird" Exclusive
« on: April 6, 2005, 07:29 PM »
Unfortunately, I'm underwhelmed. I just can't see anything to different from what we've gotten before. For the first time since collecting, can't see why I should buy and opener set. I just hope they're better in person, which is ofen the case.

It's my honor to be the first to tell you about what a great trader Scott is. Scott and I have traded on several occations over at RS and each one was nothing but a great experince. In fact Scott hooked me up with a near perfect vintage Blue Snaggletooth which was one of the three holes is my vintage collection, a trade for which I will be eternaly gratefull.

Thanks Scott!

Hey Scott! I just registered the other day myself. Glad you're here.

I just wanted to let everone who doen't know Scott how cool he is. I conducted may trades with him and have had many chats. He's a great guy. Scott also hooked me up with a nice Blue Snaggletooth that was one of three glaring holes in my vintage collection, and for that I will be forever gratefull.

Cheers!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Purchases
« on: April 6, 2005, 01:43 PM »
I haven't bought anything since Saturday, but not because of the lack of trying. I'm still in need of a few items. But my question is, are they even re-stocking? The stores I've hit haven't seemed to restock since Saturday morning. I'm wondering if they're going to wait until Sunday when the sales are all over. ::)

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to doing some trading and getting to know you all. And I'm especially glad that I will be able to keep tabs on those of you I've become friends with over at RS who are no longer there. Take care and see you around. :D

I'm just as happy with these as I am the CW SA Clone. I will be hard pressed not to pick a few more up.

I just wanted to share how the Van Nuys TRU MM experince was. In hind sight, wasn't too bad. First, I have to give props once again to amarsala for hooking me up with a holo yoda. Thanks Again! I went specificaly with freinds who weren't avid collectors, so that was really fun. The only down side was the scalper who got all of the AT-RTs, ARC-170's and 12" Grevious. They didn't have Col1 wave 3, but did have lots of col 2 wave three and I think everybody got what they wanted for the most part.

We checked this out a while ago. We're lucky not to have any within a few miles, but one of the schools we were looking at to send our 5 year olds has 6 within one mile.

The worst part about this is that everyone wants to give the rights to the sex offenders, but none to the children. >:(

I'm usually on top of DST, but this year, since I had been up for 36 plus hours due to MM, I forgot. The ironic part is that I wanted to go to Wal-Mart at 7am when they opened, and in order to make it, I need to get up at 6:30. I remeber waking up on my own accord at 5:30 and thinking "I've got another hour. :P

Hey Justin, this is my first day here :P. Interesting to hear that your account at RS is deleted. Was this by your own request? Well, you've been here a lot longer than me, but I just wanted to say that it's good to know that I wont miss you at all even though you're no longer at RS.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS Figure Impressions?
« on: April 4, 2005, 05:52 PM »
I'm very happy so far. I got every figure except 33 -36 and have only opened three: The Clone Trooper, At-Et Gunner and the Red Royal Guard. I do have issues with the guard, but he's still a good figure.

As for the rest, I'm dealing with space issues, so I 'm hoping to get some of those resolved so I can bust them open because they look sweet.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target sale = $5.00 for basic figures
« on: April 4, 2005, 05:44 PM »
Today at lunch, I brought in my reciept to get a price adjustment.  Thanks to the price adjustment, my RotS basic figure costs were reduced to:

Sale Price = $5.00 each
10% discount = -$0.50 each (I opened a Target Visa Acct in order to save 10% on my purchase  ;))
Target Coupon = -$1.00 each

Final Price = $3.73 each with the tax.

Jeff

I did the same exact thing. Sunday morning, I was wondering if they would give me a hard time about getting the additional $1 off, but I got no hassle at all. All the Customer service person had to do was scan my recipt and it was done. I had bought nearly 60 figures, so it was a nice discount.

Now I just hope #'s 33 -36 show up this week to keep the cost down.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Rebelscum Spam Mail? WTF???
« on: April 4, 2005, 02:52 PM »
Well, I think I can weigh in on this issue now. Regarding the Spam, I'm not too upset about that. What makes me dissappoint is the rude behavior by the RS staff. It's one thing to stand by your "Policy," but another to be totally unsympathetic and unappologetic. I mean, what's up with, "if you don't like it tough!?" I understand that it's part of a deal that the administation has made, and it is business, but then the forum members must be treated like customers and not told to go elsewhere. I was also dumfounded that KBZ had to explain his totally legitamate case several times and still not have it addressed. That's just goes to show you that no one takes the time to actually read posts.

If they would have handled it better, i'm sure a lot of people from this site would not have attacked RS as openly as they did. But given the administraions reaction, I don't blame anyone. Then, for the administration to just ignore the critisizm is just ignorant. Alot of people like Jessie James thoughtfully and articulately voiced their frustration and concerns. If I would have gotten such a well written post from a long time member, I would have given it serious concideration. Not "If you don't like it - tough!, oh, by the way here's the door." Dissapointing.
