I watched FTWD last night and actually enjoyed the episode immensely.  To me it had the feel of earlier TWD episodes.  It seemed to offer the glimpses of hope and kindness and then shatters it.

As the episode ended, I found myself intrigued by the direction that the original characters have gone during the time hop.  I wonder if in some fashion they turned from trying to be good people to literally becoming the bad guys. Perhaps not bad, but definitely not extremely concerned with being decent.  I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Sad to hear about R. Lee Ermey.  He brought something so visceral to the screen in Full Metal Jacket.  And it wasn't until years after I had seen the movie that I learned how intrinsic he was to the first half of the movie.  Evidently, Stanley Kubrick had brought him on to the production as an advisor while he was casting the film.  He impressed Kubrick so much that he wound up giving the role of Sergeant Hartman to Ermey, and even let him write a lot of his own dialogue.  Without a doubt, that role was one of the most memorable film performances of the past 50 years.

I read somewhere that Ermey actually ad libbed the opening scene.  He was a former Marine DI, so it totally makes sense.

Good actor, good man.  He nailed what basic training was all about in Full Metal Jacket.

Well...it was what it was.

I was really, really underwhelmed by all of it.  The twist with Maggie and Darryl might be interesting if the writers actually do something. I can't see them being bad guys, but as was mentioned, some sort of rift between them.

The fight with Rick and Negan was boring.  The whole episode was just blah...so much hype and so little anything.  This had to be one of the worst season finales.  There was no tension at all in the episode, and nothing really leading into next season.  I guess we'll find out in October.

I didn't watch FTWD, but I plan to get to it later today.  (Took the day off to deal with what is about to become water damaged home renovation).

Come on Bill, you know you have to suspend belief for that show.  I'm sure Morgan found a car with unlimited gas or a charging station for an electric car.  The writers will make it fit.

Matt, I'm guessing that's sarcasm.

If they haven't drastically shifted FTWD timeline, then that show is about 2 years behind TWD.  So I'm thinking Morgan made his way to Texas after helping Rick, and then headed back east after an adventure there and met up with Rick and Co.

That's just my fan theory that accounts for absolutely nothing and is probably entirely wrong.

Well...another episode that very slowly moved the plot.  It certainly wasn't a bad one, but was far from being good.

Maybe next week we'll actually see the end of the perpetual cat and mouse game.  This season has been like The Farm, except there has been some action.

Sorry situation aside, that's pretty cool.

How did you find out about where it had been?  Also, do you have any present pictures of the car and any idea on it's mechanical status?

Glad it's looking up.

Any chance you can find out what movies it's been in?  I can only imagine how surreal that would be to see your long lost car on the big screen.

Yeah I've heard LEGO does the same thing. No deals will be had, they just send the inventory back.

This makes me a bit sad.  I love Lego but refrain from buying much simply because of the price point and other priorities.  I was hoping to scoop up a few kits for a relatively decent sale.

Other than that, I might drop by and see if there are any PS4 games I want.  If not, I don't see myself buying anything from the local TRU.  I've only visited a few times over the past year, mainly for my daughter's Barbie stuff, and have seen nothing of significance or even current, on their shelves.

Digging up stuff from the past the last few days Rob?

I was actually wondering about this exact same thing a few days ago.  Is the happy ending working it's way into place?

TV-9D9 / Re: Star Wars Rebels - Season 4

I'm not sure where I stand among the Star Wars masses, but this show has been by far my favorite of the cartoon series.  I never got into the any of the Clone Wars stuff and I suspect because it was so "tied" to the PT which I hated as movies.

I've enjoyed the way Rebels is so stand alone as a series, yet has the movie characters getting legitimate cameos where they play a side roll and are not the leading element to a story.  I certainly hope to see a happy end to the series.

Date night for my wife and I last night.  So we go to eat and come home and binge watch the last four episodes of the season.  I'd have to say this may be one of the most perfect shows out there.

Like many have mentioned, nostalgia plays a key and the writers have nailed it.  The details as far as little things like when music was released is perfect.  You don't hear any songs that weren't released before the year of the season.

I can't say enough how much I love this show.  Everyone can see someone they knew, admired, acted like, or actually were during their childhood in this series.

Season 2 was every much the equal of season 1. I saw on IMDB there are episodes already planned up to a season 4.

Well, I got this game for Christmas.  My wife picked up this, Wolfenstein II, and COD WWII.

I chose to jump on this first.  First, I'm not an online gamer and am what I'd consider a casual gamer as I play when I have time.  Being that I'm off work for a couple of weeks, I've spent my time playing games, reading, and cruising the internet...really productive I know.

Anyway, I'm to the part where I play as Kylo Ren.  I'm not sure exactly what to do, but I'll figure it out.  I've enjoyed the game so far.  Game play has been pretty simple, shootouts are fun, hero play has been fun, and the highlights have been the amazing graphics.  This game blows everything else out of the water in that regard.  I doubt I'll get into the online play as I'm not paying to play when I've already dropped cash on the game itself.

I'm not sure what other options are available to play once I finish the story, but I assume it's the arcade mode.  I will say that sucked and I thought it was stupid I had to wait (overnight it turned out) for the game to download to my console.  Why in the world do we spend money on a game and we don't have immediate access to story mode?  I think LA dropped the ball on that.  The arcade level I played was quick and easy and that's about as great as it got.

So, my summary...I've had fun playing the story mode.  I think I'm almost finished and while it was fun, it appears it was short.  It stinks to drop cash, as many have said, and only get a few hours of game play before I have to start paying for stuff.  Arcade mode sucks...sucks.  Online, probably won't happen because I'm not that hardcore.  As for gameplay goes, it's been fun and easy to work through.  I just wish there was more to it.  Hopefully if there is a BF3 then LA will expand the game and story mode.  They improved a lot on the last one, but as many have indicated, this one appears to be lacking in some regards.
