These haven't shown up here yet, but checking out the pictures online....set 3 doesn't look too spectacular.  I wanted to pick these up, just to have the full "circle"...but it will be tough spending $20 on ones like Set 3, with repackaged figures (and not necessarily good figures even at that).  Oh well, I'll end up buying it anyways, because I want the whole circle .

Agreed about the packaging Scott, it is very nice.  I think I will end up busting those open tonight, I really want to take a closer look at them and put them in the display.  I know what you mean, even though it kind of stinks that there is so many repacks, my wallet will appreciate the break.  I'm still on the lookout for the VOTC (would like to get two of these as well), the Bespin wave, and a few of the repacks (Bespin Luke, Gam. Guard, Slave Leia, General Lando).  Otherwise, I'm on a break too the way it looks.  Probably diverting more money to Marvel stuff if possible in the meantime , and if that slows, maybe start filling holes again in the vintage collection.  I suppose if I want to get two sets of the VOTC figures though, that will be more than enough money spent anyways .  I've only gotten the Han so far (via Amazon), and it is amazing, probably my favorite figure of all time....but I don't know if this line is quite worth the $10 pricepoint.  I haven't seen any of the rest up close, but just seeing as they are "spiffier" basic figures, along the same lines as the SA Clone, they could have been regular price...or at least $7 if there would be more charge for the packaging.  Anyways...back to topic...glad to hear the Bespin wave is looking sweet.

We went Friday night (sold out as well), and really enjoyed it.  Would have been better if we didn't have to sit down in the "kiddie" section with all the junior high kids...but we should have gotten there earlier then.  Anyways, the movie is very good...and quite funny I thought.  Steve Carrell (Brick) did steal the show though I think, and the outtakes at the end (during the credits) are funny too.  I'd recommend seeing it as well, good movie.

I've been picking up the OT releases of this line, and I think I'm hooked as well.  The only problem for me with this line is the space that they take up, but they do look really amazing.  I'm down for a Bossk and Tusken for sure, if I see them around here.  Can't wait to see the next wave (Stormtrooper anyone?)

Well, according to this article at ESPN.com, it sounds like the deal sending Shaq to Miami might be almost done.  Shaq has reportedly Ok'd the deal, sending Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, and Brian Grant to Los Angeles.  Its too bad (for the Heat) that they couldn't keep a hold of someone else (like Butler), but they'll still have Wade and Shaq, as well as Eddie Jones.  Any thoughts on the trade?

Yeah Jeff, he's all kinds of cool...to me at least.  I haven't quite got up the nerve to rip him off that card yet, although I do want to.  Just looks so nice the way it is.  The clamshell on the one I received was actually in pretty good shape from what I could tell, also, it comes off pretty easily if you want to get a closer look at the figure/card itself.  Maybe it is just me, but it seemed like the cardback itself was a bit thin-ish...maybe someone else who has found these can back that up, or it is just the one I received.  I have a feeling this cardback that I have would get beat to heck if it wasn't inside a clamshell, especially if it was on a peg, in the store.

I probably should have just had patience and waited to find them at retail (still hoping these aren't as tough to find as we initially thought), but since I was placing an order at Amazon anyways, I figured the shipping would be split up so I just threw one in there.  I'm happy I did though.  I'm anxious to see what Chewie is going to look like too, I'd really like to get these to displayed with a nice new OTC Falcon.  Nice centerpiece for the mantle or top of entertainment center right?  Somehow I'm guessing my wife won't agree

On that note...didn't Hasbro say we'd get a look at 3PO this week?  They're running out of time .

Well, I'm very slowly building up my minimates collection.  My second set came today from Amazon (along with a VOTC Han!), and I have added Thing, Dr. Doom, Carnage, and another regular Spidey to the collection.  I already had the Spidey, but I don't mind having another.  These minifigures could sure get addictive, I can see why so many of you have several Kubricks, Minimates, etc.  I have another set on the way, so then I'll have 12.  Hopefully I can catch up a little bit .
