Sandtroopers has posted carded shots of these figures. Some of the card art is pretty weak, especially that Luke card with that shot of 3PO slapped in the background. Blech. And I am still amazed they included a robe with him instead of the proper cloak.  ::)

Ew.  I don't think these will be flying off the pegs.  I like the Mon Cal, but it's nothing I couldn't do myself.  The Luke Jedi is okay.  I will not be requring the rest.

I actually got my shipment notification for my tru.com order an hour ago.

So the 11 wave 10 figures did ship, despite TRU taking the rest down.

Anyone got a review on the new vintage battle droid yet?

Well it took 2 weeks, but finally someone over at Rebelscum posted some nice shots of the Battle Droid:

It looks pretty nice, but still can't hold the blaster with 2 hands.  So I will get 5 or so but not go totally ape**** like I would if it were done completely SA.

I saw lots of those at Walmart. It's pretty sad.

Dude they dug that thing up from 2005, dusted it off, and started pumping out more clone #6's?  Oh that is terrible.  It wasn't a good sculpt then.  Clone 41 came out right after that and was vastly superior in every way.  That was 7 years ago.

It seems to me that Hasbro is offering infinitely more crap than good stuff for 2012 so far.  Hopefully they have something good planned for the Fall because there are going to be pegwarmers galore until then.  And the price hike is exactly what they don't need to get that stuff moving.  Most of that movie heroes (legends) line stuff has been replaced by superior figures already.   They should have left us with just the legend of their greatness instead of putting them out again.  I can't imagine they are going to make money on that.

Did these wave 10 figures suddenly disappear from the toysrus.com website?  It looks like TRU just took them all down.

That makes me wonder if order cancellation notices are coming next.

If my eyes don't deceive me, I would swear that Hasbro just brought back clone trooper #6 with a $10 plus tax price tag.

Yeah it's April, but it's worth the wait.  The next 3-4 waves are just breathtaking.

Thanks Scott.

No Rats Tyrell, Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan yet.  And Maul is out of stock.  Limit 5 per customer.  But I did get:

2 x Ben Quadinaros
1 x Neimodian
5 x Battle Droid
1 x Palps
3 x Naboo Royal Guard

I found seven Echo Base Troopers at the Star Tours gift shop in Disney World.  They were only $11.95, so not too much more than retail.

Geeze.  If it were 2009 and we were looking into the future at this statement, we would probably guess the date was like 2018-2020 somewhere.

I've already decided that I'm going to peel off all the character debut stickers at the store and stick them on Darth Maul.

When is the next wave coming out? These things were hitting fast and furious last year compared to SW.

There are 4 absolutely stunning waves coming out April, May, June and July.  Probably more in the Fall.

One of my local Wal Marts had Sentinels discounted to $40 today. Another one did not, so it's definitely not a nationwide price cut. I'll probably go back and snag one at that price since I missed out on the super cheap one on Amazon a few weeks back.

Nothing ever goes on clearance at my 2 Walmarts.  I've been watching the Sentinels for a while.  People over at Marvelousnews talk about these fantastic markdowns on the Sentinel at Walmart for $23, but my stores always ring up $54.99

If it made Star Wars figures $4.99 again, I'd be all for it!

That is pretty nuts that basic figures are now heading to $10 each, and that is with overseas factories where the workers get $1-2 per hour or day or whatever it is.

Can you imagine what the price would be on these figures if the factories were in the USA?

I will not be deterred.

I've sculpted and casted my own parts, $10 is still a bargain for these vintage figures.

I don't even know where the ceiling is for me to not want them at this point, but it's certainly higher than $10.  And this is a drastic turnaround from a couple years back when the price hikes really started.  Back then I was outraged.  Now I think that if a figure cost $2 extra and you buy 50 figures throughout the year, is $100 really going to stop me from collecting these things that I love?  Nah.  It was just shocking then, and now I expect it.

I actually hope more people do quit, then maybe I'll see a figure on the pegs more than twice all year.

Funny unintended consequence, this is actually raising the cost of operating for scalpers too.  I wonder how much more they can raise the price to actually make this worth it for them to crawl out of their mom's basement in the morning and go try to beat legitimate fans to the toy aisle.  This may also contribute to figures being more readily available.  Because 2011 was the worst year ever for this.
