Kubricks / KubrickWorld.com?
« on: March 16, 2007, 11:26 AM »
KW.com had a major server crash and a LOT of the data was lost.  There was talk of Founder trying to start over, but I haven't heard anything about that in a while.  There are some KW regulars that have migrated over to www.kubricknation.com, they might be able to offer more info on KubrickWorld's status.

From an e-mail sent to me by the Hasbro PR guys:

"Are your Spider-Senses tingling?"

Only 8 more days til "Webslinger Weekend" (March 24, 2007) -- the time when all of the new Hasbro Spider-Man 3 and other Spider-Man themed collectibles, games and toys go on sale.

Check out the new Hasbro Spider-Man Website to:

- Submit questions for Stan Lee!

- Learn how you can crack "The Secret of the Symbiote"
[note from Jeff: everyone remember the "fun" ROTS code game  ::)]

- Register for a "Spider Reminder" call to wake up early and head to the store on March 24th

- View Spider-Man 3 trailers and Hasbro's new Spider-Man commercials.

- See the full line of Hasbro toys that will go on sale on March 24, including the product that will be offered exclusively at specific retailers.

From our friends at 4-inches:  Biggs with Cape!

(clicky the pic to check out the larger pic)

Yeah, it's a small and crappy pic, but it's nice to see that cape added...

Either that or his Yavin IV Ceremonial outfit...

It's time to announce a central character to generate interest again.

Or maybe 2 central characters...  :D

Does anyone know where we can see pictures of these?

No pictures exist yet.  The 411/rumor report that popped up at RS is all we have heard about these so far...

I've read these books the last few days...

These and a few other similar books have been the extent of my readings for the past few months...   :-[

Kubricks / Re: Defender Wishlists 2007: Kubricks
« on: March 15, 2007, 03:38 PM »
My list had 7 of those 11 on it.

I guess the majority of us are all on the same page, wanting a lot of the Kenner vintage stuff made in Kubrick form.  There is still a lot of stuff out there for them to do, I hope we get a Series 8, 9, and 10. :)

JD Sports Forum! / Re: Starring Pete Rose As The Gambler

Pete Rose's latest confession

"I never bet on baseball"
"OK, I did in fact bet on baseball... but I never bet against the Reds"
"OK, I did in fact bet on every Reds game for a while... but I never bet against them"

What's next?

"OK, not only did I bet on the Reds every night, but sometimes I bet on them to to lose."

I think at this point he'd say anything if he thought it would help him get back into baseball...  ::)

I've received a few (unconfirmed at this point) reports this week of folks who are finding Targets on the West Coast (CA and AZ) with the 2-packs in the back-room.  All three people who e-mailed had positive DPCI hits, but couldn't actually get them out of the backroom.

087-06-0884 - Order 66 2-Packs ($9.99)

I guess this is just a heads-up to all you "gotta have it now" folks (you know who you are  ;)) as it sounds like these will be arriving with (or shortly after) the big toy aisle reset at the end of March/early April...

The only thing that irritates me about the SBD is the two little holes in his torso.  Too bad they couldn't have left the flames as "clip-ons" and avoided the holes in the torso.   :-\

I love the clones and I love the SBD, but the one that has really grown on me since opening him is R2.  Sure, he's very scene specific (after so many R2's I guess that's all they have left at this point is ultra scene specific), but when combined with the SBD, they do make for a very cool little display.
