Wow, that's an awesome collection there Jesse! Very well rounded with so many different sublines represented. Most jealous I am!

I have to concur on that Vader sculpture there. Very unique conversation piece, and an excellent addition to the collection. Congrats.

Thanks for the comments Mr Bandar.  Yes, proud am I of my collection, but I keep reading that Kubricks thread, and I'm dangerously close to wanting those!

Am I wrong in the assesment that Luke was NOT there in that photo yesterday? :o

Kevin

I depends on where you've seen my pics - I've got a couple posted in different spots on jedidefender.   :)

Jesse, have you ever seen our SWS.com thread in the Watto's section?  (it's 33 pages long)  You pretty much hit the nail on the head with your observation there:

Ha, I forgot about those pics!  Actually I have read through some of that thread (probably not all of it), I think the stories in there are what made me so nervous about ordering ANYTHING from SWS.com, much less somewhat fragile busts.

I've got my fingers crossed for you guys, if these actually do make it, you should be very happy with them.

I don't envy you Kevin.  I think job hunting is one of the hardest things to do.  I always dreaded it when it came to summer job time in university.  I don't take rejection well and when the 15th person tells you "Well, we're not looking to hire right now, but we'll keep your resume on file," I get pretty depressed.   :-[

The worst part is when you see the morons that do have jobs, and you think, well if that idiot can get a job why can't I.  I know I'm smarter than him, so what am I doing wrong?

But, eventually, your hard work will pay off.  Honest.  Stick with it, you'll see.   :)

I'm not sure what they're doing over there.  Ship some 2 weeks early, ship some (at least) 2 days late.  Must be a monkey running the show.  Hopefully they're taking the extra time to package them well.

Happy B-day, Mr. Cable!  So have the 30's brought you "the wisdom of your years"?   :)
I'm hoping so, I'll be joining the 30 club next year, and hope it'll stop me from doing stupid things on a regular basis.  We'll see!

Don't worry, we're here for you  :)

Another thing that annoys me:  Going 35 in a 50 zone.  ****, if you've got nothing in your life important enough to get to, get out of the way for guys that do!   >:(

Well this is certainly disappointing!  After all of the reports on various sites that Hasbro was going to "do the right thing" and send the missing piece to everyone, I was originally very impressed by their efforts.  But now they've completely done a 180 turn on this effort.  Piss poor move, Hasbro.

This might be pretty pathetic, but the best I could do for the longest time was 48 meters, until I was finally able to do 69.  69.

...I implore you though, free the figures from their plastic/cardboard coffins!!!  ;D

Believe me, I've played with that idea many times!  But I've had them carded for so long, I just haven't been able to do it.  Yet?   ???  :)

I have that same Vader thing, the ceramic one on the bottom right, but mine doesn't have a lightsaber. There doesn't seem to be a hole in his hand or anything like that, but it's exactly the same Vader, just no saber. Of course, I got mine in an ebay vintage lot a few years ago, so I'm not sure exactly what it's supposed to be... did it come with that saber?

Yeah, it came with the saber, I got it on eBay a couple of months ago.  It doesn't appear to be a licensed piece, because all it has on the bottom is the initials G.H.  I've seen a few different versions of this thing on eBay - some with eyes that light up, some with the holes in the body in different locations, and still others that seem to be just the same as mine.   I know absolutely nothing about making ceramics, but I think it must have been some sort of commercially available mold that allowed people to make them at home.  I just thought it was unique and could light up my room, so it's actually one of my favourite items.  :)

Now, I don't normally watch the NBA, so I'm a little ignorant about how many games are actually left in the season.  But these guys have got to be suspended for way more than 10 games!  How about a whole season?  Maybe that'll get these tough guys to realize that you can't just attack fans in the stands, no matter how stupid they're being.  Yeah, I don't know how I'd react if I had a beer thrown at me, but losing control like that is not cool.  At all.

Yeah, would it kill them to shoulder check first?   ::)

My biggest pet peeve comes at work.  I'm a pharmacist, and a customer walks in and says, "Oh, I'm out of refills, YOU will have to call the doctor to get me more."  Excuse me, because you can't pull your head out of your ass long enough to plan ahead is not my problem.  No, YOU have to go to the doctor and get more refills.  I told you that your were out of refills 30 days ago, and you've still done nothing about it?  Get the **** out of my pharmacy.  Ah, but the customer is always right, right?  >:(

Jesse, the only way to buy from SSW.com or even gentlegiant.com as a Canuck is to get them sent to someone in the US first.

I think I'm finally starting to clue into this.  I guess I better start sucking up to these wonderful Americans.   ;D

I think getting any of the busts with a number corresponding to a film year would be really cool. Even getting Jango or a Clone # 2002 would rock.

And Dave (if I've got my username to real name corresponded correctly, jokabofe), do you think you can possibly pick your favourite out of all of those busts you've got?  Is their a favourite that really gives you a big dumb grin?  :)
