Nice work Chewie.  I really enjoyed the way you chose to end it...reminiscent of Empire Strikes Back...very cool.

I just noticed that I'm not a "verified" member for using paypal, and they have a spending limit.  This limit goes away if you supply them with a bank account.  I'm guessing they did this so that it protects them from credit card fraud, but my question is, if I give them my account number, can/will they deduct payment directly from my account or from my credit card as it is now?

I tivo's it last night.

DSJ....message me if you still need a copy of it.  I'll try and transfer it to a tape for you.

I'm up to eight.

I'll probably go two more times.

I went to Target today and they had the new R2-D2 version which also has a slot for a game key.

I was hoping to see Qui-Gon appear during somepoint near Anakin's fall...like when he's going to the Jedi Temple, trying to talk him out of it....or towards the end talking to Obi-Wan as he leaves the Lars homestead at the end.  But, I'm not too disappointed in the movie.

Hell, Lucas established the whole Qui-Gon spirit thing in AOTC when you hear him calling to Anakin when he's slaughtering the sand people.

London is getting Pink Floyd and Cream in the same year... that's so unfair.

Man, how did London make out with all the good acts?

Well...to balance it out...they do have to put up with Madonna.

I bought one of these for my nephew when they came out and the other day he used the Dath Tater face mask as a mask for him, grabbed his red toy lightsaber and told his dad (my brother) that he was Darth Vader.

I've converted another to this hobby!   ;D

Other Collectibles / Re: The "Official" Master Replicas Thread
« on: June 25, 2005, 06:57 PM »
I recently got an e-mail to join the MR collector society.  One of the "perks" will be to get the Darth Maul mini-saber.

There's also various gift certificates that can be redeemed for other MR items, like $100 for a replica....might have to get one of the Full sized Obi-Wan sabers!   ;D

Too bad they don't have any of the AOTC ones left.  :-[

Actually dude the $100 coupon is for a studio scale replica (ex. Snowspeeder.)  I still have the flyer from C3 and I'm staring right at it.  You get 2 $50 coupons toward LE or SE sabers.

I'm hoping to use the two $50 coupons towards one purchase.  Hope they let me.

I also noticed as soon as I purchased my Collector's Society membership, there's a gold mini Obi-Wan saber for sale....pretty freakin' sweet!

This is the same dealer I'm getting my Medicom Vader through.  Although their production numbers are way off, I think their prices are fair.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 50lbs in 6 weeks. Can I do it?
« on: June 22, 2005, 07:46 PM »
Oops.  I guess my only defense would be that my Bachelor's degree is in Applied Math and the last two years of it didn't really involve numbers.  :o  Couple that with I just got home from alert and I'm pretty out of it as it is.

Still, that's a lot of weight to drop in a relatively short time.  I hope someone's keeping an eye on you.

Very cool so far Diddly.  Two things I like are that the story takes place after the movies (most photonovels lately seem to be prequel era so this is a nice change of pace), and the use of legos...that's just awesome!

6615
I got home from alert today and in the mail was the last of the series for Episode III (and possibly ever).  The Jeff Gordon Elite.
And I think they saved the best for last!

Packaging: Although this one lacks the nice paint schemes that the previous boxes have, this is clearly a superior package for this car.  It's all black, with the Elite logo in gold.  Instead of a top and bottom as the others have, this is a hinged box revealing the car inside, although wrapped in a black lint-free cloth.  Very well done.

Paint:  The paint scheme is the same as the car Jeff Gordon won at Talladega this year.  Plenty of detail with the various sponsor logos, the only true Star Wars items on it are the Yoda and the Star Wars logo on the hood.  Still, a lot of detail went into it and it is the authentic paint scheme for the actual car.

Detail:  I thought all the other cars in the Episode III series had incredible detail until I got this one!!!  Not only does this car have all the detail of the previous cars....it's expounded upon them ten-fold.  There are tethers under the hood, trunk and roof-flaps.  The hood and trunk have extra metal hinges on them which help to keep them open.  The cockpit is absolutely incredible!  There's a seatbelt, cables running throughout and even one to the steering wheel which all I can think is it's some type of tether since the steering wheels are removable to get the driver in and out.  Also, the webbing on the driver's side window is actual cloth and not plastic as in all previous cars!

Overall:  I think this car would be a fitting end to the series.  I honestly don't know how they could improve upon it!!!
