I am two weeks away from my trip to Orlando...I really wonder if there might be some lingering that far out.

From the numbers on the cases I saw it looks like they had 1150 of the 3000 set aside for WDW. It is crazy that how they broke it out, online got the smallest allocation.

Off the top of my head?

Excellent dream manifestation!

Lol. I threw a LOT at the wall in that post. Something had to stick!

I would take four "hallways" a year if they all turn out like the Tatooine Street and Light Cruiser Hall.

Same.  Seems like maybe this is more for people that didn’t get the cantina?

I was thinking the exact opposite...this is the answer for those people who wanted exterior walls for their Cantina set-up.

I like this but I don’t even want to know how overpriced it is going to be…

Surely it is just a $60 set like all the retail playsets are?

I am so beyond happy to see this set. How many will I buy? 2? 3?

I might have to cap it at three and wait for more on clearance.

The only nitpick I have is the lack of a vaporator accessory, but there are really good accessories here. I never thought they'd make a yellow cube crate!

I really hope this is the start of open stock / beyond the 3000, but I am worried this was an allotment set aside for WDW from the beginning. From everything I have seen, there were only 700 set aside for the online sales, and those were staged in two different shipping spots (east coast and west coast) prior to D23, so it makes sense to me that there could have been a whole separate allotment for Orlando.

Entirely selfishly, I will be in Orlando in a couple weeks and if there should be Starspeeders available at that time it will really really tempting. So I am praying to the toy gods tonight!

You could always open a new "free Checking" account at your bank to be your dedicated eBay deposit account, if you don't want your other info out there. Like a burner cellphone, but for banks!

I have been trying to get my mind around how that Maul pack warrants a spot in the Build-Up assortment with the 2-packs, and the only rationalization I can come to is that the 2 packs didn't cost out as cheap as they had initially planned, so a single figure pack is there to balance out the whole assortment. And Maul in an alternate costume was was determined to be enough of a draw.

I would be interested to know if he was intended to be half of a 2 pack originally, and who the other half might have been planned as?

Nice!

Not that I know of.  ;D

I read the forum here in "Recent Posts" mode, so the boundaries between threads are negligible. Still, I try to respond to the correct replies and up until yesterday I have always done a good job!

As far as the Epic Hero line, I bought Luke and a couple Stormtroopers, but I'm not excited about jumping into a Mandalorian line as this seems to be morphing into. Wal Marts seem to stock them as solid cases of individual figures and have been moving product with discounts and clearance prices, to a level I would call it a success so far. Target seems to stock it as assortment cases that are usually wiped out on any given day. The deluxe size seems to move slower. The line is probably not for me, I would be more plugged in to OT stuff.

Thanks everyone, sincerely. It was days after my 50th birthday, such a wake up call for what the rest of my life means to me.

I did not intend to derail the thread

******* A dude??  You doing ok?

Yes, thanks, much better these days. It wasn't an event as much as a slow build up. The doctor who fixed me up said it looked like it had been going on for a week or more, and I knew I felt bad but I just kept pushing through, until the goddamned Acolyte.

No I am just kidding, the show didn't do it. It wasn't until I spent the next day out with my sons that I really noticed I was slowing down and out of energy...then I took myself to the ER to get checked out. We're all getting older, here -- keep an eye on yourself!

I watched the first episode of the Acolyte when it dropped, but I did not opt to watch the second one even though it was also available. I wasn't captured by the first one, it felt amateurish and hollow somehow ( it turned out I was in the midst of a heart attack at the time, so perhaps I was...distracted?)

Once I took care of all that, I never came back to the show. Like I said it didn't hook me with the first one, and even though I am a lifelong Star Wars and SW toy fan, these days it has been my stance that they need to pursue me, not the other way around. If they can't entice me with the "entertainment" or make it fun and easy to purchase their products, I am just as happy to ignore it. It was the first live action SW TV show on Disney+ I didn't watch all the way through. (I tried Resistance and Bad Batch, which were both also a first episode try and pass.)

Looking forward, I hope more Star Wars projects are launched as self-contained things. My one big letdown with the Ahsoka show last year was how unresolved it ended, and from what I hear the Acolyte had the same kind of "ending." Leaving the story unfinished is just more salt in the wound for the fans that did engage. Mando Season 3, as much as I disliked it, had an ending even if it opened the door for more adventures. Resolving things is a necessary part of storytelling.
