Saga Death Star Gunner - hard to make a better figure given how basic his outfit is
Any Royal Guards based on the outstanding RotS sculpt, eg Carnor Jax etc
The recent Scout Trooper

I'll pick up a "snow scout" or two on ebay (sans bikes), I love the current scout model and expect this one will be good too.

1) As I mentioned in the repaint thread, for me the most current pressing need among the Imperials is the Emperor's royal guards. Fortunately it would be an easy figure to make, since the RotS Red Guard/Kir Kanos/Carnor Jax/Shadow Guard sculpt is so outstanding. A repaint with the high quality Shadow Guard soft goods robe (but red) and a nice staff would be perfect.

2) Sate Prestage/Slim Aloo/MOAR DIGNITARIES

3) Bridge Technician

4) AT-ST guy (with articulated arms)

5) A good new Piett

6) Officers with numerous variants and a vastly more articulated sculpt than current one which is fail x1000... especially the arms! GRRRRRRRRR

I agree with the comments above re: the AT-AT driver, he's pretty articulated already and is extremely well sculpted. He's a great figure and doesn't need a resculpt - I'd rather they use that "slot" in their schedule for another Imperial figure. Stormtrooper officer maybe? Pleeeeease...?

Since I only collect OT-era Imperials, I can only offer my opinions on those chars, but... some I'd like to see are:

1) Death Star Commander - Yes! A very needed character who would be easy to make
2) I second the red Stormies, although I know alot of purists will hate them. I think they are cool and I'm sure they'd sell strongly.
3) The gray Imperial technician idea above is a good one, although the arms of the "Imperial Officer" figure are so limited and awful. Perhaps use differenly jointed arms so they can straighten out?
4) My biggest want, however is...

A repaint of the excellent ROTS Red Guard, to make a new RotJ Royal Guard! His sculpt is superb, in fact one of the best Hasbro has ever made, period. Give him black gloves and more red/black armor rather than the purple (or just use Kir Kanos if Hasbro is REALLY lazy), and use the nicer robe material from the TFU Shadow Guard, but red. Also a force pike (from an older figure) instead of the gun. This would be an unbeatable figure. For bonus points make the robe removable so he could be in a sort of "battle-ready" situation if desired.

I'd like to see more Imperial EU if possible, and this might be attainable through this wave.

Mini-fighter? lolwut  :P

Just got an Evo Trooper off of eBay...

Grade: A - really great sculpt, excellent accesories (cool longer gun and backpack)... would be an A+ except he again is just a little too big! Like the Jumptrooper, he's about half a head taller than his comrades in the Imperial Army.

I'd vote for Sith trooper as well... they could come with the double bladed staff from the Kir Janos/Carnor Jax comic pack, since they wield them in the KOTOR games, plus a rifle of some sort.

Just received a Shadow Scout I purchased on eBay... very happy with him. Mine doesn't appear flimsy or cheap at all, he seems to be as well-made as the superb Legends Scout. I wonder if the original run of Scouts for the convention were made cheaper than the ones they now sell from the website? Anyway, this figure looks cool (I like the detail of how the visor is a darker reflective black), is beautifully sculpted, and basically kicks ass. A+

Juno Eclipse - A

Super high quality sculpt and articulation, it makes Hasbro's Legends treatment of the Imperial Officer seem like even more of an obscene ripoff in the articulation department... I wonder if in their contract with Lucasarts it says they have to make the figures be a certain quality level... Hasbro, please make a damn tuniced Officer that's as well sculpted and poseable as this figure!

27
For ten bucks I might buy this figure and toss the bike, depending on one question: is the figure "bowlegged" and intended only to sit on the bike, or is he able to stand up straight with no leg curvature? Because I saw a pic of one standing on an ebay auction and he looked sort of like he was squating in a wide stance, which I assume was to fit on the bike... perhaps that was the seller's pose though. If he is the same mold as the excellent OTC Scout I'd buy him for sure.

My grades so far...

Jumptrooper: B

The sculpting and articulation is some of the best I've seen on a SW figure... really superb. Great detailing, very poseable, etc. He gets knocked down from a surefire A+ for two reasons. The first is that he's a bit larger than the figures around him! Next to stormtroopers or regular scout troops, who would be his natural squadmates, he's just slightly too big, and is like half a head taller than them. I noticed the same thing with Baron Fel - dude is huge. Don't Hasbro's people design to a spec? The second negative point is that the card blurb goes on about how they use their super-cool railguns as their primary weapon, and then they don't include this - only a regular blaster, of which I have loads of spares. Cheap, Hasbro! A black plastic railgun (using a gun sculpt from one of the clone's heavy guns) would have cost like .5 cents or something to include. Lameness.

Shadow Guard - A

Very nice all around, high quality sculpting and articulation... although just a repaint of the Comic Pack ones we've seen. He looks super cool, the lightsaber-staff thing is neat, and overall a solid figure I'm very pleased with.  8)

Let's see...

Ysanne Isard with either Sate Prestage or an Imperial Intelligence officer would rock  8)
