Did anybody notice the loss of articulation in the line?

No ankles for Cobra Commander

No elbows for the vehicle drivers.

I think it may have started that way, but at this point, there's certainly plenty of collector demand out there, probably created by the silent treatment.  Maybe Hasbro's just brilliant like that, spending 12 years to create demand for something that otherwise would be boring.

The Prequels came out 12 years ago?

Give me my Death Squad Commander and SA Hoth Luke and I can get off this roller coaster.

No apologies...  I just like EU.  I'm not even as into PT stuff at this point...  EU is more interesting to me now actually.

But hold your horses on those other two being your lasts...  You cannot back out till:

-The Vintage Endor Rebel is updated
-The POTF2 Endor Rebel gets an update
-Rebel Ishi Tib gets an update
-Endor Home One Briefing Rebel Tech gets made
-Yavin Rebel Officers get made
-Captain Antilles (ANH) gets an SA update for a nice Fleet Officer figure
-Nik Sant gets a Rebel Commando figure
-Hoth Technicians/Taun Taun Wranglers get figures
-Fleet Troopers get head variations
-And we finally get some generic Stormtrooper Officers in black outfits like Praji

You're roped in there till the line's demise I think. :P

Ah half that list would sucker me in a bit.  Remember it was the Hoth Rebel that kept me in a few years ago.

But also don't forget, I don't really care for the Cantina or Jabba's Palace scenes (I like them more than the PT) so Tonnika Sisters and Aliens are not high on my "stay in the game" list..

What you missed on the list though.. Super Articulated Biker Scout with Ball Jointed Hips to fit a proper Speederbike.  That would keep me in.

A female "Boba Fett' with red hair.  Wow, if they would have given her a bare midriff and tramp stamp, the fanboy-gasm would have melted the internet.

Total waste of plastic (as most EU and PT stuff is, sorry JJ).

Give me my Death Squad Commander and SA Hoth Luke and I can get off this roller coaster.

So who is seeing Red Tails this friday?

Going Saturday.  A WWII movie will always get me to buy a ticket.

Modern Classifieds / WTB LEGO C3P0 and Red Lightsaber
« on: January 18, 2012, 06:53 PM »
My 3 year old had his Lego C3P0 and a Red Lightsaber in his hand when he fell asleep in the car... they fell out when he and his mom went grocery shopping... so long story short, I need a replacement.

I don't know the going rate for a mini figure and am afraid to check Ebay.

Any help would be appreciated.  I might even have some trade stuff if you need it.

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2011 "Best Of" The Vintage Collection
« on: January 3, 2012, 11:51 AM »

Best Figure:  Rebel Fleet Trooper, just because he was a top most Needed Resculpt for me.

Best Vehicle:  Landspeeder re-release.  I didn't have this version

Best Exclusive:  Based on Photos, I have to say Starspeeder.  I don't have one.  If it has to be one I have... Luke's TaunTaun...sorry I know price sux, but I choose it.

Best Multipack:  Search for Luke.

Looks Like we need a new catagory...

Best Retailer (for you personally).... Despite my Love for the Target stuff... Entertainment Earth is where I got more figures than anywhere else this year.  I don't have the time or excuses (no more diaper runs) to hit Brick and Mortar anymore.

If they were Hasbro-esque, I would be in for sure.

The Toybiz line was just not the right scale for me.

Ray Stevenson (Titus Pullo from Rome is how I know him) IS Firefly.

So the guy next to Cobra Commander and Zartan impersonating the President.

There is a fight between Firefly and Roadblock where they show both the Masked and un-masked Firefly in the trailer as well.  Not exactly in his classic Garb, but a change I can live with.

I agree with Jesse on killing characters, and this is hollywood, he wouldn't be really dead...

IMDB does not list Destro, Baroness, Scarlett, Breaker, Heavy Duty or COBRA COMMANDER

But DOES list: Blind Master, Flint, Tunnel Rat, Havoc, Mouse , Cobra Soldier and Cobra Storm Trooper

It is an exciting time, like I said, if nothing else it gives me something to look forward to this summer and Toy Fair 2012

It was either interviews or ET, but they said that basically Roadblock, Flint and Lady Jaye were the only survivors of the desert assault.  Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part.

I like Duke as the Character, but again I like his filecard, Cartoon, Early Comic run persona.  Not the Devil's Due, IDW, ROC, Sigma Six, Renegades version.

It is interesting that is sets up like the "Revenge of Cobra" cartoon run.  Duke and Scarlett step aside for Flint, Lady Jaye and Roadblock.

I will have to say, I was very disinterested in Jon Chu as a director when his resume up till "Retaliation" was Justin Bieber and a couple of "Step up" movies.  But hearing more and more about how he is a Joe Fan and his enthusiasm for it has won me over a bit.

I cringed every time during ROC the director and producers said they were going to "re-imagine" or "Twist" the joe Mythos.  Chu seemed to bring something from the 80's-90's era Joe that most of us know as much as possible.

So while I'm not expecting "Captain America" next summer, I am certainly not in fear of getting "Green Lantern"

Things I like in the Trailer:

Firefly
The Hiss Tank
The Water Mocassin
That they MAY have killed off Duke
Cobra Soldiers look like soldiers and not Alien-Zombies with Turtle Armor.
No lips on Snake Eyes

Things I'm not excited about:
Storm Shadow seems to have the same costume from ROC.  I want my ninjas looking like ninjas.
Too many ninjas
They are going for an R rating or so the rumor goes and I don't personally think an R rated movie BASED on a Toy line with figures to Support it is the best plan.
The Joes are on the Run... how many storylines in the Joe-verse can they possibly have that revovle around them being "outlaws" or "Hunted"?

But all in all I want to go see it, I want to buy the toys and I have something to look forward to during Summer blockbuster season.
