The Vintage Collection / Re: 2024 TVC Blurrg & The Mandalorian

It could be the randomness of scheduling production at a factory in China and scheduling a ship to haul it to the US.  It could be that capacity unexpectedly opened up and everything moved faster than expected.

My guess is that they would aim to be more conservative than say it'll come in September and have it show up in January and have a bunch of fanboys whining about how late things are.

I too don't like having stored financial information "out there", but the newer eBay payment system has been seamless.  Fees are still high overall, but the payment system works smoothly.

That's actually not too bad for EE.  Still more than Hasbro Pulse and Amazon.

I had been wondering about their program as the last handful of Star Wars DVDs that I bought (Andor, Mando, Kenobi) didn’t have codes in them.

Just got an email from Disney that they’re ending Disney Movie Insiders program in December. Not sure where I’m going to get movie posters anymore.

If anyone has points you need to use them by Dec 4th.

What are the other ones?

Was BoBF ever supposed to be more than one season?  I haven't heard anything on Ahsoka but I thought they had hoped to do another season.

I'm still for a wave of six figures from any new media that ideally is timed to come out within a few months of the show's release.

I go back and forth on this.  One of the major reasons I stopped collecting comic book figures was "incomplete team syndrome" where they do like 80% of a team and move on without completing it.  I HATE when this happens in the Star Wars line too.  Like, don't bother giving me TVC Indara and Yord if I'm not also getting Jecki and Kelnacca and Torbin to fill out the shelf.  My OCD just hates that.

Just to be clear I'm not advocating for only six figures per media property, EVER.  I think its a good place to start with a case of 8 figures where you can put a couple army builders/repacks in a case along with six new ones.

After the first six you could go back and ideally fill in any "incomplete teams" in later waves.

I just want enough core figures to be able to do something with.  Andor pains me with its two Cassians and a Vel.  Those two were hardly even in that many scenes together.

I don't really care if a show is cancelled or not if I'm looking for cool Star Wars stuff to add to the shelf.  BoBF was stupid, but I'd take the six coolest figures from that show.  They may not make another season of Ahsoka and I'll take the six best figures from that show.  Same goes for the Acolyte.

I can have a little corner of a shelf for each show's content, or if it makes sense I could incorporate it in to another shelf where it sort of makes sense.  For example I probably wouldn't feel bad about having The Acolyte figures sit in a corner of a Prequel Trilogy shelf.

While I'm good with the cancellation I kinda hope the story can get wrapped up via comics/novels or maybe even a short animated bit (e.g. Tales of the Jedi/Empire) as I don't like the loose ends.

“Limited quantities” back in stock at Pulse if anyone missed this.

Thanks!  I've been trying to get one of these and it has been out of stock.  Managed to grab one.

But honestly good riddance.  I’d rather the budget go towards stuff that’s a higher caliber than this.

In my heart I want all of the Star Wars stories to succeed, but some are just really not that good, including The Acolyte.  I'm okay with the cancellation and also hope that they can find better ideas than another season of this.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Andor Product Line Wishlist

I thought Patrick or someone a couple of years ago mentioned that the sculpting/design of a 3.75" and 6" figure were very similar, so once they got one size figured out it was a lot easier to make the other size.

I'm really surprised that they've made a bunch of 6" figures that seem like no-brainers in the 3.75" line - both Bad Batch and Andor lines have probably the biggest gaps.

I really don't know how much info they take from the two lines to figure out what they should make in 6" vs 3.75".  Both lines do tend to do a lot of repaints/repacks, but I don't know if they're consciously testing the waters in one line and using that information to do something in the other line.

I'll be interested in hearing everyone's opinion on this when they receive it.  I haven't pulled the trigger on this set yet.
