Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Stranger Things - Netflix

Anyway... should we set a date for when we can discuss this openly (aka with spoilers).  Perhaps this Saturday (22nd)?  I feel that most of us who are into the show should have wrapped this up by then.

I think two weeks from release seems like a reasonable amount to start talking spoilers.

One of my complaints is Will and the lack of development with him this season.  To be vague to avoid spoilers, he just had the one scene with Lucas and Mike and pretty much the rest of the time he was in the background rubbing his neck at times.  I just wonder if this is a flaw with having such a large ensemble cast?

My wife and I discussed this angle as well.  Eight 40 minute episodes is fairly short to develop characters when you've got so many.

I think they've either got to write some characters out of the script or add in more content, although I would prefer the former.

I've always liked the Nancy (and Jonathan) storyline.  They spent a little time on it this season, but then it felt like they just kind of dropped it.

Outstanding...I worry too that it might be too ambitious in its numbers, but itís a great choice and insanely cool looking toy. I am rooting hard for this one.

The skiff set a high bar for others to follow.  Hopefully this also doesn't create a challenge if the price goes up for the next Star Wars item and they expect a $600 Death Star to sell as many units as the barge.

Hopefully they worked out a bunch of bugs with the barge and know how to distribute this internationally a lot better as well.

Has anyone scoped out prime day to see if there are any LEGO or Star Wars deals?

I know it's only a day, and I know the target number is 2k smaller than the barge, but at 159 backers this one seems off to a slow start to me.

Good news / bad news?

I wonder if as a Star Wars collecting community we want this to succeed, fail, or don't really care.

I assume the barge was considered a huge success.  I wonder if failure/success of a giant Cookie Monster would have any impact on the potential of future Star Wars items.

I could argue that a failure of this item may push Hasbro back towards Star Wars, but I could also see where a failure could have them throw in the towel that these big things aren't worth the internal hassle.

I wonder if success may in general allow them to staff their HasLab team at a higher level to crank these unique items out at a faster clip.

I was gone for the holiday week.  I managed to watch the first two episodes last night and feel like it is a race to finish it before it gets inadvertently spoiled.

The first two episodes were solid.  Can't wait to watch the rest this week!

Got mine today.

Another strange shipping situation from HasbroPulse and their FedEx fulfillment crew.

I ordered one of each figure for a total of three figures.  All sent separately on the same day, different boxes, and different box sizes/designs.   ??? ???

Even more screwed up than when they sent me my 6" figs last week in six different, but mostly identical boxes.

Finally found a reasonable price for Quay Tolsite online - I never was able to get this figure online and never saw the wave in stores.  $15 on Amazon isn't too bad.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series Solo Wave 6

Sure enough.  I was at work yesterday and my wife sent me a WTF text with the following image.  Six 6" figures each in their own box.  ::)

I just hope FedEx doesn't run HasbroPulse out of business with their shipping costs.  Pulse is the easiest (and one of the few) places where you can actually get toys.

Got shipping notices for 4 of 6 that I ordered from HasbroPulse.  They're all being shipped separately.  ???

I'm guessing Hasbro is still using FedEx to manage their inventory and fulfillment.

All six figures come in a case, so instead of mailing them all together FedEx decided to ship them separately to drive up their revenue and Hasbro's cost.

Now my wife is going to get twitchy thinking that I've ordered an obscene amount of Star Wars stuff when four packages all arrive on the same day.

Thanks Jeff.  I scanned a bunch of posts but I guess I didn't go far enough back in time to find that one.

I've got written down that there is an Obi-Wan in Clone Wars armor coming to Walgreens.  Did I make that up?  Is that still coming?

Is it weird that these haven't shown up on Hasbro Pulse?

Yes.  I've been watching and never saw them go up.  There haven't been any reports of this showing up even briefly and selling out.

I'd been hoping for HasbroPulse to carry these, but I may have to resort to Amazon or EE.
