Yay! I just got my email that my Waiting list order for Aayla become an honest to force REAL order!

I've been trying to cut back on picking up every SS 12" but i ended up ordering this one. I'm going to SDCC and i figured i might regret it after seeing it in person. lol. Also if they ever make a Vos i would really regret not having Aayla.
But see, I don't think there's a real difference between a ROTS-era 2-1B droid and an ESB-era 2-1B droid. Cars change over the years, but droids in the SW galaxy? There are minor differences (color, detailing) between both eras of 2-1B, sure, but for there to be what seems like a big height discrepency?
Of course, according to the SW database, 2-1B is supposed to stand about 4 1/2 feet tall. Didn't seem that short in either movie (ROTS or ESB).
I got my set today and it is very cool. I think one of my favorites from sideshow.
IGN has an article up summarizing the casting news so far, as well as some speculation on the movie. Some of the case looks pretty good, some doesn't to me, but I'm really hoping this will be a "fun" movie like I found Transformers to be. I'd still rather see someone like Duke or Flint running things though, so I hope the Ripcord thing is a rumor. More info at the link.
I love how they put the Baroness comic image up next to Sienna Miller... but didn't for Wayans.....
Or for Scarlett. Or for Storm Shadow.
BFD.
Just another quick vote for Juno as film of the year. I was not overly excited to go see this, but it was absolutely fantastic. Surprisingly funny and very emotional - it was put together perfectly. Highly recommended!
SWS.com has the Star Wars Poker Chip Set by Cartamundi instock for $149.99 US.
Damn. That is one impressive set.
If I actually played poker more I would absolutely HAVE to have that. As it is I may have to try to track one down slightly cheaper on eBay. I love that light up feature.
Honestly.. it's "OK". I applaud Cartamundi for getting this out but there are a few things that I think suck immensely:
1. Three colors of chips but 4 characters.... that's just stupid
2. The nice LED case that they come in doesn't have a FRICKIN HANDLE!!! WTF?
3. Artwork is kinda dumb imho... like pasted on stickers in the middle of the chip.
All this can be yours if the price is right.... or wrong in my case since I pre-ordered it at CIV....
I'm not unhappy that I got it... I just wish it felt more like it was worth the $150+ tax I paid for it
Has anyone read the 2nd Bane book? I did and I think they easily could have called it Darth Zannah instead of Bane. I wanted to learn about his apprentice but still more about him than I felt the book did. If they were going to concentrate on a different Darth so much why not do the Plagueis book like they were originally.

Yeah the price jumps have been ridiculous, and its not just with the Star Wars line. The Hobbits are over 70.00 each. I am already not a completist with this line so it doesnt hurt me too much to skip a figure. I may get rid of my Bespin Luke and stick with the other 3. The only other Han i can see myself picking is a carbonite version. I never liked the Hasbro one.
I just wish they would have thrown in the Blast Shield helmet. But all in all it's looks great IMO.
Yes! That would be awesome! Just what we needed to go with Obi's training remote! Not to mention my Robot Chicken scene! Hmmm... I wonder if the Hasblo one will fit.....
