The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode VII
« on: October 2, 2014, 06:22 PM »
Ya my FB is littered with Ep7 spoilers.  I couldn't resist on clicking on a few but would prefer to come in open minded like I did with Ep1 came out.  Probably too late for that now just sayin...

I saw  it. I felt  that family  guy  carried  the Simpsons

I haven't seen it yet but I believe it was a Family Guy episode so that kinda makes sense.

Not all are as talented as this person is.  Looks really pretty though.  I will continue to ignore this thing unless I can find someone to paint it for me which will likely never happen so nothing lost.

I also found you get a wide range of responses when you ask them to check stock on this item via their computer. Sometimes it seems like they can't tell at all, one guys said, yeah we have them and walked me over to the 12" shampoo bottles, and no one yet has been able to figure out how to check stock at other stores electonically, although I have read they should be able to do this.

Frustrating.

A local (not on this board) was told by a manager a reset is coming next week and was invited to the back to go through 12 bins of toys.  No dice for him but thought that was neat and probably completely out of the norm for a manager to do.

I don't collect these but saw x2 vac metal erminators on the pegs on Saturday.  I believe 2 silver as well.  Looked like a single case.

I'd wait for a sale at Amazon personally but it is a nice big fat box.  :)

On my not Jabba HTS SDCC order confrimation it specifically mentions that a signature will be required.  Glad I'm having my stuff delivered to work or I'd be stuck in that same boat.

I'm shocked and amazed that the toy itself wasn't caved in, especially since Hasbro seemed to simply throw the toy inside the oversized box with only some brown paper as packing material.  Part of me wonders why Hasbro would ship something they know is a collectible that people are buying based on packaging and presentation in such a slipshod manner, but then I remember it's Hasbro and their company is built on asinine decisions and never learning from their mistakes.

Shipping issues aside - I don't believe Hasbro and HTS are of the same.

I finally got a look at this thing today.  BIG fan of SW vehicles.  If the wings/cockpit opened and a standard R2 could fit I'd buy it - but otherwise MEH.  It does look like something that might have been from a store display though I'll give it that.  Oh and it's freaking HUGE.

Fun movie...Loved it!  I think that collector guy was from one of the after scene credits that completely confused me from one of the other Marvel movies.

I actually knew who the end credit guy was in this one  :D

I don't really collect much Star Wars these days but I picked up the box and laughed at it last week.
