Kurse and the Dark Elf are two separate figures/villain characters.  I managed to find a Dark Elf for myself the other day.  Kind of bummed that this figure is only one per case, because it's pretty cool, and sure enough an army builder.

Kurse is an individual villain who IIRC is a fairly major villain in the Thor storylines.  Although I'm surprised that the other main villain from the movie, Malekith, hasn't been represented yet in the figure line.  Although I do hold out some hope that he might come in a later wave if the figure line goes beyond this first wave.

There's definitely a lot of place-setting that took place in the first episode of Agents of SHIELD.  It's something that every television series is going to face, even with some of the storylines that have already been set up by the previous Marvel movies.  But the points of continuity between the films and the series are definitely going to help carry the show with fans of the movie universe.

The Coulson survival storyline is clearly far more complicated than even Coulson realizes.  I see a recurring storyline here.  And I also see a character development storyline happening with Agent Melinda May.  Her first scene just screamed foreshadowing.

The Droid was in a late episode of Clone Wars, where Asajj Ventress takes up with some bounty hunters.  IIRC, Dengar wound up in the same episode (voiced by Simon Pegg, no less).

I have to wonder about one aspect of this.  Boba Fett figured to be the central character in both this game AND the live action series, correct?  But since the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm, it's come to light that there will be the single character focused movies.  One of those is rumored to be Boba Fett.  I wonder if Disney/Lucasfilm decided to pull the game because of possible story conflicts with a movie plot?  There's the potential for a movie to make much more for Disney/LFL than a video game.

So, NY Comic Con is coming up in a bit over 2 weeks.  And Hasbro has made a point of exhibiting at the show as it has quickly grown into one of the biggest pop culture events of the year.  And the last time I went, Hasbro had some new figures to show off.  Will they again this year?  I'm certainly hoping so, since there wasn't that much revealed at the summer conventions.  Could we see wave 4 of the Black Series?  Maybe a hardcopy of Merumeru?  I'm hoping so.

Yeah, I watched it last night before it got taken down.  It was pure teaser fare, and nothing else.  The Ultron face was really the only new element.

I found a near complete set yesterday.  I got both versions of Thor, Loki and Kurse.  The Dark Elf seems like it might be hard to score though, since those are reportedly 1 per case.

I think WalMart's decision to not pick up the 6" line has the potential to be really damaging to Hasbro/Star Wars.  They are the number 1 toy retailer in the country.  But I think that WalMart's still got a bad taste in their mouth from the whole Discover the Force line of 2012.  And I think they may play hardball with Hasbro at least until Episode VII comes out.

Agreed.  Although it looks like a lot of companies are being very conservative when it comes to licensed product lines.  A full range of action figures can be a risky proposition from a financial standpoint.

Still, I'd be very happy if a company like NECA got their hands on this license.  They've shown that they can do some amazing work.
