Picked this one up last nite at my local Cardsncomics buddies in lancaster!

Great figure..unfortunately it's so easy to compliment..whereas it's more difficult to criticize. If I could find one con about this fig. is that it appears Hasbro forgot to paint the gold rim in the pilots' mic/head harness to match the movie/picture on card. Ok so this was the one thing I disliked, still it gets a 95% rating(would be 100% if they painted the head gear)-and that's saying itsa quality product!

The red shock looks awesome..right down to the grey painted boot soles.  They look awesome in formation(my son has an army(he's 11))

The black pilots also look really good in the ROTS ARC170. I dunno- I think the black ones look far superior to the white/grey pilots

went to TRU in antelope valley yesterday.. the manager punched in holo emp. in his computer-came up nothing. Then he punched in just "holographic" and got 2 hits.

The first was a discontinued holo that was just named "holographic" and was rec. in late March (likely Yoda).

Interestingly, the second was named "holographic annakin" and was due out in the fall but was also sadly discontinued

All this and the Holo emp. still not in TRU computers....hmmmm this could lead me to believe that this product will likely release w/ the DVD in Nov. and no longer in Aug like prev. reported.

 a month ago late at nite at WalMart I saw a case labeled ROTS GUNSHIP on the pallets to be stocked....so, thinking it WAS the republic gunship..I asked an employee to open the case.... NO, just two dumb arc170's(not that their lame ..just not what I expected.) I think around April 2nd the cases had actual green gunships packed with an Arc170 but then since they seem to not be producing the gunships anymore the Arc170's are still being packed in the "gunship" labeled cases

That's funny..my son is the army builder..there's nowhere
 in my house to put an army for me. I only get a small space on top of my dresser for my Kubricks( thanks wife for letting me have that much). SO, it's ok because my crazy boy has an army of clones all over his room hanging from the ceiling holding their clamps etc. A republic 170 full of black clones. several jedi ect....It's funny though- and..I always tell him" but, Who are they fighting ,son? You have all these clones and hardly any baddies?"

The 2" line is on the way regardless.  It's ready to go, so we're stuck with it.  And I don't personally see that line as a "replacement" for the 7" line, as Hasbro keeps saying.  They're just dropping one line, and starting up another, totally different, one.  I think the LOTR Armies of Middle Earth caught their eye, and they wanted to replicate it for the SW universe.  No freakin' idea why they're saying it's the "new Unleashed".  Makes no sense.

Also strange them scrapping their 7" line.  We were all rather perplexed down at Comic Con when the Hasbro reps kept suggesting that line was a failure, so they had to ice it.  All the sales on Unleashed here in the SoCal area have been very brisk, for the most part.  Started off kinda slow with the line, but things have really picked up the last year or two.  I think the things just don't have a big enough profit margin, so they ultimately decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore.  They could've probably raised the Unleashed price point several bucks, without losing much of their customer base.  Oh well.

Hasbro did make a strong point that the 7" Unleashed line is not dead forever though, but that it's just being put away for a while.  They said several times that it has a decent chance of returning again in a couple years, so we'll see about that.

Strange minds at work over there, at the Big H... 

Agreed about the strange minds.....but, was I the only one who WASN'T perplexed at the briefing???! Way I see it... The BigH blew it with a good line. The high cost to produce a small amount of figs was costing Hasbro alotta money( or not making enough profit). So they decide to counter by mass producing figs- see the failed/overproduced aayla secura/bosk/raider wave. This attempt backfired leaving tons of unsellable merchandise( still see them in many places hopeleessly for clearance) causing H to think the line is degrading- Talk about shooting themselves in the foot.

I still believe this-if H raised their price to 20$ a fig.( to match the 12in. line) then dumped the 12 inch line and continued to produce unleashed at a more normal pre AAYLA wave rate. we would still be enjoying the line.

Yes, put me on the petition. I was a real fan of the wave until Hasbro messed me over telling me they "killed" it.
Oh BTW I'm not impressed about the new line...geez my eyes are getting bad enough as it is!
