The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Wave 5 - A New Hope
« on: September 30, 2008, 10:37 AM »
I forget what the B-A-D droid is for this?  Was it an orange R5?

There are two astromech B-a-D figures in this wave - R2-N6 and R5-A2.

I think those are the two best looking B-a-D figures yet.  Really excited about this wave.  Did Wioslea have Jedi style robes on in the movie?  I don't recall.

To answer Jesse's question, no, I wasn't at the store, but I did hold onto this receipt, so next time I'm there I'll see if I can get an adjustment.

I got General Tiin over the weekend.  Now I have all the figures to build three of the first four astrodroids.  I skipped the wave with Yarna, Bane Malar, etc, just not interested.  Still haven't seen any of the repaint wave.  I was at WM for other things and almost got Asohka, but didn't have the money to add that to my list...  :P

Whats above C-3PO's head, and is that some kind of storage locker next to Kenobi?  Is this the same Kenobi as is in the first Legacy wave of 09?

This is a set I'm going to get kicking and screaming.

And God help me, I just pre-ordered it. Aghhhhhhhhhh!

Does JD have a support group for people who cross the habit/problem threshold?

I picked up the Vader and Incident Troopers pack at Wally the other day, now I'm seeing some people on the otheR Site saying they are benig marked down to $10, anyone seeing this in their area?  I'd like to get my price adjusted if this is the case, but it's probably one of those things thats only happening at two WMs in West Texas....  :P

I'm really hoping that Michael and Dwight need to go visit Ryan in prison for some reason or another, like the password to a system or something.  I think it would be great to see the Michael and Dwight squeezed into the little booth trying to share the phone, because Dwight won't wait his turn.

Ever notice that Dwight is to Michael, kind of like Mose is to Dwight, the stupid sidekick....

The way last season left off was great!  I'm hoping that Ryan and Angela are still engaged, just so we can see more of Dwight mopey and maybe Phyllis can exact some revenge!

I'm really excited that the season is starting soon.

Thanks DSJ, I was hoping that someone at NASA had thought that one through :)  Like I said, I couldn't recall all that well.  Those are some pretty dramatic and beautiful pictures.

Star Wars Universe / Re: Which Star Wars Movie Do You Watch the Most?
« on: September 23, 2008, 10:16 AM »
I think the one that I've watched the most often recently, and even then a couple times in the last few month is ROTS.  My nephew slept over a couple times and we watched it.  In my life I've seen ROTJ the most.  When I was little we would take family trips in the motorhome and it had a TV/VCR and that was the only one of the OT that we kept in the motorhome, so that was what we watched a lot of.  This was when I was 10-12, so I was fine with the Ewoks beating up on the Imps, and the space battles were cool.  I'll admit I was too young to appreciate the superiority of ESB.

Do they usually roll out the shuttle that far in advance of the launch?  Especially given the time of year, wouldn't they be concerned with Hurricanes, etc.  I'd think they would roll them out at most a week before.  Then again, do they have the capacity to have both those shuttles inside at this point, IIRC from the tour I went on about 15 years ago, I think there is only one assembly facility where they could shelter the shuttle.

When I left feedback that I was happy with the transaction except i thought the shipping was pricey, the seller replied with a comment that I had paid quick but didn't give her the chance to correct the situation before I left feedback.  What?  After I won the auction I asked you why the invoice didn't show any discount, except there was a discount just a tiny one.  Then you're surprised that I described you're pricey shipping as pricey?  Give me a break.  I think I'll try and train the guns so they're straight and remember not to bit on anything from that seller again.

First, I think it was a couple bags of chips, a 24oz can  of beer and a few other things.  I'm not a d%ck I won't have a problem with someone setting something on the counter if they say something, but it seemed an awful lot like he had done his shopping and wanted to pay.  I was getting pretty ticked and was going to keep responding to the crap he was shouting, but I really wasn't looking for a fight.  I'm bigger than he was, but still, not something I was looking to do on my sunday afternoon.

Wasn't one of Vader's first lines to her in ANH "You are a traitor and a member of a rebel alliance!" ?

Anyone get Order 66 yet?  I'm kind of surprised that they went with a hardcover release on this, since the other three were paperbacks.  I thought I read that it would be in paperback by Christmas, but I can't find that now.  I guess I'll be getting this soon.  I really like the others in the Commando series.

On our way home from visiting my Wife's grandmother yesterday, we pulled into a convenience store to pick up a couple things.  They didn't have what I needed, so I just grabbed a bottle of water for my Wife who had waited in the car.  As I'm standing at the counter, literally 2 feet from the counter, another customer steps in front of me and sets his arm load of items on the counter, without saying "excuse me", or "I'm just going to set this down", right in front of where I'm standing, not on any other part of the big counter that wraps around (like 20 feet of counter space), so I say "Excuse me", no response, "Excuse me, sir!", the guy half turns and walks back towards the rest of the store past me, announcing that he wasn't "cutting", saying that I don't need to call him "sir" (I didn't realize that was no longer a polite term for an adult man you don't know...).  The clerk, who had just gotten to the register, sheepishly apologized about the people that come in sometimes.  I guess I won't be going back to that store.  Did I miss something and its ok to set something in front of someone who is already at the register without saying anything to them, wouldn't it be better to say, I'm just setting this down, or put it over to the side.....
