A lot of those people are vocal with their campaign contributions - but either way, there are plenty more.  Sure it's less than half, but the fact remains that there are lots, while the perception is that there are none.  I should have used the word Celebrity, not actor - if you use the word celebrity, there are hundreds and hundreds to choose from.  Try googling Republican Celebrities or Conservative Celebrities and you'll find lots of websites with long long lists of people.

And it is very easy to classify Ron Silver as a Republican - he's a neo-conservative and is about as hawkish as they come.  Anyway, I've made my point, you've made yours, we should probably get off this train now.

You can start with:

James Woods
Ron Silver
Bruce Willis
John Malkovich
Arnold Schwartzenegger
Ted Nugent
Clint Eastwood
Charleton Heston
Adam Baldwin
Meatloaf
Dean Cain
Alice Cooper
Shannon Doherty
Jim Caviezel
Robert Duvall
Kelsey Grammar
John Rhys-Davies
Mickey Rooney
Jessica Simpson
Ben Stein
Tony Danza
Kurt Russell
Pat Sajak
Tom Selleck
Andy Garcia
Bo Derek
Stephen Baldwin
Vincent Gallo
Dean Cain
Fred Thompson
Angie Harmon
Rip Torn
Dennis Hopper
Vince Vaughn
Danny Aiello
Joan Rivers
Wayne Newton
Freddie Prinze Jr.
James Caan
Billy Bob Thornton
Colin Quinn
Delta Burke
The Immortal Chuck Norris

Mel Gibson?

The problem that leads to the perception of Hollywood being straight up liberal is that most of the conservative actors are just crappy actors.   ;D

There are also a slew of authors, musicians, and athletes who vote republican or contribute money to the republican party.

Yeah...

Cronenberg is one of my all time favorite director's - the man's a genius and A History of Violence only bolstered my opinion in that regard.

For those of you who have seen it, did you like it?

Most definitely.

It was too dark for me to enjoy, almost downright morbid

Have you read the books?  Each one gets scarier than the last, starting at book 3.

Goblet of Fire, if anything, wasn't nearly dark enough on the screen.  The book was borderline terrifying.

We get it, republicans think hollywood is all liberal - just like that evil media.

(Nevermind the dozens of conservative actors that I could name off of the top of my head who are plenty vocal in their own right.

Either way, let's keep this from getting political - since we all know it's not allowed.  :)

and Cueron's "dark" direction didn't really work, IMO.

Funny, that's why from a filmmaking standpoint I think #3 was the best of the bunch so far.  It was more serious than the first two and you didn't have to be a little kid to get into it as much.

The first one was good with the exception of how ridiculous Cary Elwes was at the end.  The second one had some good traps/violence but the cast was pretty much garbage outside of Whalberg and the guy who played Jigsaw.

I've got low expectations for the third one given that the girl is supposedly going to be the killer - I don't think she's terribly convincing at all...

The books are better than the movies, but the movies are great - particularly the last two.

Best Buy only had a small number of copies of the Jarhead 2-disc and the Movie Trading Company didn't have any - I'm wondering if it's not going to be another situation like the Batman Begins 2-disc that got so tough to find...

Oh, and it was $32.99.   >:(

Edit:  Amazon.com has it for $27.98 - with free shipping.  So I ordered one from there, about $7.00 less after tax.

Here's the final load...

I agree with you there, but it's had for me to loose respect when my peers and I don't agree (any peers, not just the academy) when my peers are judging by the same set of criteria.

The the Screen Actors Guild awards are for you, not the Oscars!

Sorry Rob, I'm a little slow, please explain. :-[

I may have phrased it wrong, but what I was trying to say was that I don't disrespect people for making intelligent decisions if I don't agree with the decision.

I may have misread your post - I thought you were implying that the Oscars were more meaningful because they were being judged by their peers, which is what the SAG Awards do, not the Oscars.

How can you be best director and not have best picture?

Because they're two separate things?

Of the two carded versions of C-3P0, which one is the variation and which one is the regular one?

It is an intentional variant and both versions are currently shipping 1-per-case.

Most cases assortment listings say 2x C-3PO, but it's really 1x Good 3PO and 1x Bad 3PO (at least it has been in all the cases I've seen put on the pegs), so technically neither version is more rare or more correct.

Thank you sir.  Now I have to decide if I want to keep both or not... I like this packaging so much that I just might...

I went to 14 stores on Sunday - 3 of them had ZERO figures on the pegs, only about 3 of them had any substantial amount.  Most were bare or near bare.
