The Vintage Collection / Re: 2021 TVC 3.75" Troop Builder Sets

That's what I did for the stormtroopers.  I ordered two RFT packs from Pulse but figured since they're unique likenesses and Antilles is a specific guy, I don't need 4 of these sets.

I ordered 4 of them, because I'm a huge, huge whore.

I'd think the Black Series 3.75" AOTC Anakin would have been a better choice, but he's not a reissue of an existing TVC figure, he'd be a repack. Fortunately, I just bought him off eBay the other day with the intention to put a photoreal Peasant Anakin head on him.

I don't have the young padawan Anakin, so while it's a curious choice, it's a new figure for me.

Which wave does the Mandalorian Deathwatch commando fall into? The one that was announced with Figrin D'an during September's livestream.

I don't think anyone has received theirs yet, or even had them shipped.

I've been swapping out figures with the face update (or in some rare cases, buying them for the first time) and giving my son the original releases, so I'm ok with the updates for the most part. I feel like it's a good move to have main characters available for collectors just starting though, so I'm cool with this. Plus, the face apps on that older Ahsoka were the weakest part of her, so I'm happy with that update.

The RFT pack is excellent. I feel like TVC had the better showing back in September's Livestream, and this time Black Series had more to show.

You’d think that’s coming… cutting off the bandolier and repainting him would probably get them very close.  Are there any other real differences?

I think the proportions are a little different on the arms. IG-88 has very short forearms (which make him look pretty eerie), where IG-11's are longer with a shorter upper arm. Here's a good http://side-by-side comparison shot.

Vintage Collection IG-88 is still one of my favorite figures, even with his wider stance, but a rework to upgrade him a bit would just blow my ******* mind.

I got Lando and IG-11 from Dorkside. Man, these figures are freaking excellent.

Yup, that's where I saw problems too. Pulling off the head did the trick for me, but I'm not sure I freed up all the wrists on mine.

Something you can try with your figures—once you have the problem parts disassembled—is to use the natural oil on the sides of your nose (by your cheeks) to give the parts a little slip. I know, it sounds super gross, but I remember learning about that oil in a science class in college. It's one of the most versatile oils in nature, outside of whale blubber.

Glad to hear you guys are finding this. If they start showing up in larger numbers (which I sort of feel is likely), I'm tempted to get a second one to make into another member of Blue Squadron. I think a headswap and adding a stripe on the wings should do the trick.

It’s all meh to me.  I kinda like retro but I didn’t want this much and then to divert to too obscure.  I liked seeing some unmade OT stuff, some mains from these new or older things like the PT maybe… not a lot, just some.  They’re seemingly ready to milk this hard though.  I prefer good figures to this stuff but I liked the idea of this as a smaller line… I feel it won’t be remaining a smaller line going forward.

Yeah I'm with you. I don't inherently dislike it, but I do worry that they'll just go balls out with it, and it sucks seeing characters I really want in TVC showing up here first. If they do the Tonnika sisters here first, I'll go 1000% ape****.

The Tusken Raider is back in stock if any of you are like me and we’re hoping to pick up a few more…

Awesome, thanks! I just ordered three more.

Nice! I saw your post before and was worried it would end up being a return with a swapped figure. Glad it worked out for you!

The day after I put an Echo back on the pegs, my 6 year old told me he's asking Santa for Echo for Christmas. And naturally, the pegs at Target were completely empty when I went back. Does anyone have an extra they're willing to sell or trade? It looks like he's back-ordered online for early 2022.

My case with the EMPEROR, Lando, IG-11 and Teebo arrived

I would like a proper U-Wing, but if Hasbro were ever to make one, it will be a Haslab project in order for it to be accurate.

Absolutely, and it would be magnificent.

^ This is the pricepoint the majority of the collecting community would want to pay, at clearance, so Haslab would need to be the route we take.
