Star Wars Universe / Re: Star Wars Movie Quotes
« on: June 27, 2003, 11:28 AM »
Since it seems everyone has given up on this, the answer I was looking for is:

The dark skinned rebel pilot (who's probably named in EU) was the one that screamed "She's gonna blow" during the Battle of Endor.

If anyone wants to keep this game going, feel free to throw out a quote.

For anyone who's wondering, the six were:

-Luke Skywalker, an obvious one
-Emperor Palpatine, another obvious one
-Jorus C'boath, the third obvious one
-Grand Admiral Thrawn (Hand of Thrawn duo)
-Baron Fel (Hand of Thrawn duo)
-Bevel Lemelisk (sp?) - The tough one.  He was cloned numerous times after failing Palpatine.  Palpatine killed him gruesomely and then cloned him repeatedly.

OK, new question:

This dark skinned human of the Imperial Special Forces fought against Wedge Antilles and Winter on Ryloth.  Who was he?

Are we talking characters from the movies who have been cloned or can major characters that first appeared in the books that were later cloned count as well?

If its the latter, I count 6

It's really not that bad when it takes 5+ hours to play 18 holes.  Plus I hold my liquor well. :-*

Love to golf?  Yes.  Real good? No.  I can't hit my driver to safe my life but I have a nice 3 iron tee shot, about 240 yard if I hit it right.  I agree with Scott.  When I first started, I tried to kill the ball.  After playing more rounds and getting advice from way better golfers than I, I learned to relax and swing more smoothly and the improvement has shown.

And the best part about golf?  Drinking.  I'm good for at least a six pack on an 18 hole course.  :-*

Has anyone here bought this?  I'm really wanting to see someone post a review about this before buying it.

Here you go Chris.  Not mine as I don't collect Technic Legos but it might help in your decision

Here's a few things that pissed me off in the last couple of weeks:

1.  Rain - I don't mind it once in a while, but when 9 out of the last 10 weekends have been raining, I get a little pissed.  The Northeast is not a g'damn rain forest.  I actually played a golf tournament Sunday in a torrential downpour.

2.  Dip s**ts who don't turn their headlights on when its raining.  Hello, numbnuts, nobody can see you without them.

3.  Punk ass kids who wear their hats wrong.  I not talking backwards, I can deal with that (and I wore my hats backwards for a while)  I'm talking about wearing them sideways.  You look like a moron, get some self respect.  And bend the brim for chrissakes.  Nothing looks more stupid than a straight brim.

Started it yesterday and am about 280 pages in.  Rowling's writing style is like crack its so addictive.  I cannot put these books down.  It finally happened when I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore  :(

1.  Harry's has alot of weight on his shoulders and it definitely shows.  His angst is very apparent in a few scenes

2.  Sirius family tree was a shocker.

3.  I think Aunt Petunia knows more than she lets on.

4.  The new Defense against the Dark Arts teachers is a wench.

That's all for now, I'll keep posting once I read more.  I have a softball game so I probably won't be reading much

Hey Mikey, I have a Captain America I was going to customize into something but I might not ever do it.  Some Canucklehead gave it to me (What ever happened to Captain Canada BTW) anyway...do you need him?

I do.  Is he still carded?  Shoot me an email at mdavidson@corjen.com and we'll discuss.  Thanks Scott.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What are your collecting goals?
« on: June 23, 2003, 03:42 PM »
To find all the super rare, hard to find variations like the "clonetrooper with dark colored sand markings on the back of his left calf in lieu of the lighter colored sand marking" and hoard them all and make a killing on ebay.  Its gold baby, I'm telling you.

Seriously, I don't have any specific goals in mind other than getting one of every regular carded fig to open.  I do buy all vehicles and pick and chose on the deluxe and other lines.

I would like to start a Gamorrean Guard collection (I know, I know - I've been talking about for months now, but it will happen I promise  :-*)

I would also like to add the Lego Star Destroyer, Tantive IV and UCS Xwing to my collection but they're just too damn expensive.
