However, the guy with the flush should have gone all in after the flop.

It may, but you saw what slow playing got him.  The winning hand needed cards on both the turn and the river to beat him.  On these on line sites it seems that winning hands get cracked all the time like that, regardless of how you play it.  I would say 75% of the time I have had pocket Kings, and Ace would come out on the flop.

Just curious, but wouldn't that pretty much scare everyone off their hands unless they had an ace?

That's pretty amazing and exciting poker there!  4 of a kind on the river to win!

Help me on this:  Announcers/poker players are always talking about "outs".  In this scenario, how many outs did you have?  You could have won only if you got a full house or 4 of a kind.  That's assuming that he wouldn't be able to improve his hand on the river, and it doesn't look like he can.  So 4 of a kind is 1 K, and full is 3 8s, 3 As, and 3 Qs.  I'm thinking out loud by writing - 10 outs.  Am I missing anything?  Then they'll translate that to a possible winning % - 10 cards out of 52, so about 20% chance?  Close?

That is correct.  Its good to see that Pokerstars isn't the only site with bad beats on the river.   However, the guy with the flush should have gone all in after the flop.

Only 20 or so Stormtroopers.  But I seriously doubt that guy has paid over $200,000 for his collection.  If he has, I think he's gotten ripped off somewhere.  I've spent a lot of scratch in the last 12 years but nowhere near that much.  And I have a LOT of stuff (for good or bad).

   E...

That was my first question while watching...how the heck does he get to $200K?  ST armor could be around $1500.  A complete set of vintage figures can be found on ebay for around the same.  The CNN clip showed that he had an icons saber.  I saw mostly Hasbro and Legos in his basement with a few GG statues.  I have a large quantity of MR stuff, not everything, but pretty close along with all the 3 3/4" and 12" Hasbro, all the Legos, about a dozen or so GG busts, and all the Sideshow 12" and a ton of books and I haven't even spent half that amount according to my spreadsheet.  I think he has over estimated his spending.

$5 for shipping one figure is about the going rate, if the shipper uses priority mail.  The minimum priority mail is about $4.55 and delivery confirmation is $0.70 for a total of $5.25.  Also, etailers might get bulk rates, but I know NewForce ships cases via UPS for around $8 to $10.  Usually, their cost plus shipping is the same price as the just the cost for most other etailers.

The one thing that surprises me about ebay not cracking down on shipping is that there are so many auctions now that hurt ebay.  I see a lot of $1 Buy it Now auctions with $100 shipping.  Ebay only makes money on the listing and a percentage of the $1 instead of percentage on the $100.  I would think they would crack down on stuff like that at least.

What is the story behind this one?

Orange Cape Squid Head

Well this topic over at RS should help you out a bit.  ;)

Not sure if it helps or makes things worse.  :-\

I have never heard of this version before myself.  However, I know the seller has been on ebay selling vintage Star Wars for a few years.  She seems to buy up lots of vintage stuff as well.  From her pictures, she has a lot of the harder to find items.  If this is the stuff she sells, I can't imagine how pristine her own collection must be.

Any interest?

The exclusive item is the floppy hat w/ goggles.

Right off the bat, two Star Wars fans...  Made for two of the better contestants this evening as well.

I'm depressed to say the guy that waxed himself might be in the PSWCS.  Cable should out this person.

As always though, the best part of this program is the first little while when all the knuckleheads are weeded out.  After that, at least for me, this show's hardly watchable.  Till that point though, let the freak show begin!  :D

I am glad that I caught the end of his audition post waxing, since it showed he was from Newark, DE.  I just know that one day I will be looking through the figures at TRU and he will come walking by.  I wonder what I should say...

Cheesey line from a commercial last night, but I had to laugh.  Sarah is taking John and the Terminator to school.  As they are getting into the car, John says I call shotgun, and the Terminator says I call 9mm.

This whole deal seems a little strange to me.  eFX is owned by a former MR employee.  After the merger with Corgi, Corgi stated that the Star Wars license was responsible for a large portion of MR's profit, yet Lucasfilm wanted too much money for it.  Now, a brand new company can afford it...especially when it appears they have no other products.  eFX is owned by Toyteq, which has been around since the end of 2006.  They have worked on FX sabers among some other things, but their site is lacking in any details to determine if they have even been profitable.  To me, it looks like Corgi killed things for MR.

cmon seriously how good could it be if it was from Hasbro???

It appears it will be manufactured by eFX and distributed by Hasbro.  It makes me wonder if all the FX sabers showing up at TRU was a kind of test run to see if Hasbro wanted the license.

This figure was inevitable...at least the major Luke outfits will be out of the way...now bring on something new and unique like Hammerhead.

I'm kinda confused by the timeline of the show... I assume it takes place when Sarah Connor is pregnant and the woman is the Terminator sent back in time to protect her? Who's that dude then?

I agree with Jesse, I'd rather see a series based on a squad of soldiers set during the war. Make it kind of like Band of Brothers, but in the future... and with machines as the enemy. Nevertheless, I'll try and check it out.

I believe that is supposed to be the plot line of a future Terminator movie if they actually go that route.  I've heard rumors of doing three more Terminator movies to take place after T3.
