Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Goodbye KB Toys

I can't say that I'm surprised...it seems for at least the past year, my local KB had about half their items at 50% off.  Also, they never sold the Wii or Wii games.  Occassionaly you could find new waves of figures there, but their drastically higher prices were certainly a turn off.

I watched last nights episode online, it was interesting but they haven't moved the main story along thus far. Flash back, flash forward... etc. It did have a couple of lol's tho.  ;D

I think the last episode was pretty much a stand alone episode which let them cross a name off the wall essentially.  The previews for next week certainly looks like we are getting back to the main story.

I bought it Saturday but i haven't read it yet.

   E...

I preordered it but have not read it yet either.  I'm currently in the middle of Children of the Jedi for the SWAN bookclub.

While the exclusive item was only the dart, I'm glad that at least it wasn't another exclusive stand.

I love this show which I initially thought would fail.  My only problem is that with with the future having been seen and created on one level, that there is now no way to change the past since the future can always go back and change the events that could destroy humanity.  We are beginning to see this take effect.  Plus the idea of multiple futures is going to create multiple pasts thus multiple timelines making the future very confusing on both the humans and machines.  Not sure what show (maybe History Channel or Discovery) that discussed this and the actual chance that this is possible. Really quite confusing if you are not an physic or astrophysic.

The entire show is an alternate timeline, at least from the T2 to T3 standpoint.  T4 is going to take place based on the events in T3.  SCC started between T2 and T3, and thus wiped out the T3 timeline when they jumped to the future.

Another interesting episode last night, still raises more questions tho.

I would have loved to see them shoot the kid to see what happened to the older guy.

Yet another preorder they have snuck out in the middle of the night.  He is available now for $90.  Another lame exclusive item...exclusive figure base.

Well I guess later in the week it shall be starting in February, still think Wednesday next to Night Rider would have been better to get that garbage of the air.

Sarah Connor to Jump Nights in Early '09

So anyone still watching this, getting pretty good IMO.

Oh well, it was good for two seasons.  You could almost guarentee this this show will not last past this season with a shift to Friday.  Fox shifts shows to Friday to kill them off by saying they have low ratings.  Of course, most people go out on Fridays.  Maybe with the poor economy people will stay home and watch.  However, Fox isn't looking at the geek factor.  Sci-Fi channel already has established a geek following for original programming on Friday nights.

Friday wouldn't be my first pick, but might be just fine depending on the timing.  If there is a geek following on Friday nights, then this would actually be a smart move to capture that crowd.  I don't get the Sci-Fi channel anymore, but it's been a very long time since they had good Friday night programming outside of Battlestar IMO.  Maybe the schedule will improve by the time the switch is made, but the Friday night lineup this week is below:

07:00 PM STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION THE ENSIGNS OF COMMAND
08:00 PM STARGATE ATLANTIS (SEASON 5) THE PRODIGAL
09:00 PM STARGATE ATLANTIS (SEASON 5) REMNANTS
10:00 PM SANCTUARY THE FIVE

Doesn't look like anything Termy couldn't beat the tar out of.

The competition doesn't really matter.  This is the Fox channel.  Ratings have been down for the show.  Fox is not forgiving in these circumstances.  Dark Angel was moved to Friday's at one point, and it didn't make it past season 2...Season 3 could have been moved to Sunday's since X-Files ended the same year and could have filled that gap.  Boston Public (I think that was the name) was moved to Fridays and then cancelled.  Same thing with Reunion and a host of other shows.  Fox moves shows to Fridays as a cop out to say they don't achieve ratings goals (which is hard, due to the night) and then cancels the shows.

True, but Sci-Fi is loosing Stargate Atlantis in January, and BSG is gone after this season. That leaves Dr. Who which is mostly durring the summer, and Sanctuary to anchor the Friday night spot. Friday nights big stuff is NCIS and Numb3rs.

I was more thinking that Sci-Fi channel would be more of a draw of the people who like Terminator.  I believe NCIS skews more to the older crowd.  I would think it should be winding up at some point.

Last nights episode was awesome.  I can't wait to see where they go with the story line next week.

That time war storyline work sooo well for Star Trek Enterprise.   :-\

Considering that Doctor Who is a British show and longest Sci-Fi series of all time, I don't think it will matter.  Also, I think it could be done with a few specials and doesn't need to be a whole season.  With Trek, Paramount dropped the ball.  Friday night shows do not work on TV.  The time war storyline was when Enterprise was actually getting interesting.

I think there's a vast difference to the approach. In Romonavaratnaluna's case, it was a conscious effort to choose a previously known form. I would guess that in the upcoming regeneration it's the 11th doctor guiding the 10th doctor.

Maybe something related to the woman from the Library episode?  Maybe something slightly similar to when Tom Baker finally left with the Guardian.

I would love to see a special or two on the Time War.  It would nice to seem them use Paul McGann (I think that is his name) and have him regenerate to Eccelston at the end to tie the old series to the new one.

Repaints were inevitable for this figure.

There is suppost to be a character name (lower case) the doctor in the last special. The (upper case) Doctor regenerates into the actor that is playing the (lower case) doctor. So basically the Doctor is present for his own regeneration. At least that is the rumor.  ;)

The only thing that I can think that is similar is Romana's regeneration during the Tom Baker years.  An entire season was devoted to the Doctor finding the segments of the Key to Time and the last segment had been disguised as a woman.  Later on, Romana regenerated, but it seemed she got to choose her new form.  After coming out of a room as several different people for the Doctor's opinion, she settled on the person who played the woman who was the last segment of the Key of Time.
