Wow!!! That was really wonderful.  I thought it was very cool, in almost all aspects.
First off, great story!  You had me hooked right from the first few pages, the set up up was just so cool.  Wonderful build up, and you really threw a curveball when Ms. Skywalker showed up on the scene at the end.  I can't wait to see what happens next.
Great job with your photos, the sets and backgrounds were very believable and natural for the scenes that were taking place.  Real nice job with camera angles and lighting, your pics were nice and clear ... I liked the subtle effects also.
Cool custom characters, if I'm not mistaking; you put some extra washes on the droids and tricked out the Gonk?  Also, really like the Hamma character ... nice hair ;)

My only suggestion would be, if you could make the pics on your next one maybe 15 to 20% larger.  I found myself squinting a few times, trying to read your text.  That's really about it, other than that your comicbook layout looked very proffesional.

Kudos man, looking forward to more from you  ;D

Man, I just love that shot of Palps! That's freakin' awesome!
I've got to tell ya SA, your camera shots / angles really bring your figures to life; your definately one of the best out there.  I know it's just a frontal shot, but with the hand thrust forward and just the right amount of shade over his eyes ... it's just freaky ... makes me feel like I'm about to get roasted with some force lightning. :'(

Kudos ... as always  ;D

Not much to say except ...SPOT ON!  This is just incredible.  I have serious figure envy, when I look at  your collection  ;)
I love the comic book style, few PNs try it, and even fewer pull it off.  You definately make it work ... nice job!

Wow!!! This was great!  What an awesome story.
I'm very glad it was bumped or I would have missed out on this gem.
So where to start ... loved the dialogue, this is another one of those PNs that you didn't even need to post pix because the dialogue is so rich that you can't help but get a feel of what's going on.  Everybody's, from Skywalker to the clone's speech was top notch ..very believable.
Your pics were fantastic, great use of natural settings; it really looked like a forested area and showed off the figs wonderfully.
The best part of the story is your main character Tox.  You can tell that the guy could be a serious bad@$$ if he wanted to be.  I just love the respect he commands from people, even OB1 !!!  Just great.

Please post some more chapters, you definately have talent ...share it with the rest of us  ;)

And I think your scale is off.  The Galactica is probably almost as big as one of those Star Destroyers.

Oh man,  now you've peaked my interest on the scale thing; so of course I had to go look it up.
This is the sort of junk I get in my head and I can't shake it until I know ... it's a sickness. :P

Galactica: 4640 Feet
Star Destroyer (Imperial 1 class): 1600 Meters / roughly 5250 Feet.

The Galactica is actually way bigger than I thought it was, SD is still a couple football fields longer ... but not a ton in the scope of things.

Huh, learn something new everyday. ;)

And Starbuck would have a field day with those TIE's.

Amen brother, although the Empire would just keep sending wave after wave till she was out of ammo ... then she's probably eject and start beating them up with her fists and feet ala Chuck Norris style.  ;D

Glad you guys were able to get a chuckle out of it!
I was just looking for a place to display my titanium series BSG vehicles, and when I saw them sitting next to some of my SW collection ... I couldn't help but think "what if?"
I really dig the new BSG quite a bit, it's really great Sci Fi; but in an Empire / Colonial showdown ... I dunno, don't think it'd be much of a contest  ;)
Thanks for lookin'!

Just a quick short, for fun ;)

. I've been working on a PN about Solo's history for a few months now, but I don't think I'll be able to pull it off nearly as well as you have.

Dude, I can't wait to see it!  As you can probably tell, I love backstory stuff.  Back story + Solo = fun PN!  As much as I dig pretty much everything Star Wars, it  does seem that the Clone Wars era is a primary focus in most PNs.  It will be fun to see more OT characters added to the mix.  Keep us posted, and thank you for your kind reply

[quote author=Swede link=topic=13472.msg253678#msg253678 Yeah, once I get more troopers/ minor jedi like Ki,Kit,etc.... that's my first I have plans for the GCW,NJO,ROTS-ANH era & a PN based on RC. The ones I just listed are only in thoughts, the CW is in early- rough draft. :)

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

Wonderful topic Quazar,
It's already answered quite a few questions I've had for quite some time.  I've  often wondered what the reasons were, why people didn't respond to some great PNs.  It always seemed so wierd to see a post with 175 hits and 4 replies.  I'd look at something like that and think, "wow, maybe they listened to their mothers and decided, if they didn't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all."  Then I'd look at the replies and they'd be all positive, leaving me totally confused.

There's a bunch of issues listed I've never thought of ...ie, dial-up and just plain not having the time to get through the PN.  But, I think it was Longhorn who said, even a little something lets the PNer know somebody took the time to read through it and check it out.  Even a quick, "Nice Job" or "This Blows" works for me and most guys that post; I understand that everyone doesn't have the time to post super in depth reviews ...ala, the great ones Quazar comes to the table with.  It's just nice to know someone's giving a nod to the hours of work you've done.

As far as feeling not qualified to respond to a PN, man, if you dig SW and stories ...congrats, you've just qualified and your opinion is totally valued.  I am extremely greatful for the guys who reply regularly, many have already been named, these guys often make the difference in motivating me to do another chapter; but, when I hear from someone new, I'm just as geeked. :D

Enough rambling,  the crazy cats that frequent these boards are top notch ... keep it up, I'd love to see some more PNs!!! ;D

Hey! Nice story and cool customs.
I like the paint scheme on Zordon.  I also like the outdoor shots. :D

If I can just offer a bit of advice,
some of the shots really show off your house, like the tabletop shots where I can see the kitchen chair, your wall full of pictures, newspapers, and "Cowboy Petes? " Box ...what is that by the way?  As great as your story is, these elements can be distracting; a very simple fix would be just some new camera angles.  Try to angle the lense down,  just a touch more, so you will not pick up the house background.  This will really tighten up your PNs, and it's simple to do.

Still, a great job and looking forward to more!

Yahoooooo.....
Flacks, I'm stoked you've decided to bring your fantastic photonovel over here!  You already know my opinion from RS, but I just wanted to say welcome and encourage others to check out this top notch story.  ;D

See ya round the boards, bud.

Brisk and Artoo, thanks for your feedback. As always, ... it's totally appreciated!

I'm glad you are enjoying the elements of Hans back story.  Even when I was a little kid, I always wondered what the character's history would have been.  I know a lot of people don't like EU; but I feel some of it is done quite well (not all of it, mind you).  I've always liked the idea of Han attending an Imperial academy.  Just imagine if he'd stuck around, I think the Rebellion would have their hands full with a cunning enemy like Solo ...LOL ;D

Thanks again for the feedback guys!

PS Oh and Artoo, did I read that you may be posting your own PN some time soon?  I'm looking forward to it!  I like the time period you discussed.

Nice job!  Wow, there's a ton going on here and it's pretty rare to see a post OT pn.
First of all, I really like your customs; Luke looks really good.
There is a ton going on at one time in this, and I enjoy the comic book layout.  Very fun.  It looks like you put a lot of time into this, your effects are great.

My only real crit is that some of your pix looked squished, I don't know if that's a photoshop issue or what, but just something I picked up on ...extremely minor. ;)

Keep it up, lookin' forward to more.
Oh, and welcome to JD. ;D

Heres another chapter, once again ... not big on action, but it helps move the story along and I promise the upcoming chapters will have a bit more blaster fire and stormie body counts, and a rescue reminiscent of epIV  ;)

It will be quite a while (like over a month) before I can work on these again, so if these pns disappear into old post oblivion, I'll be sure to bump them when I post chapter 5.

If you enjoy the pn .... or not ... feel free to let me know on both accounts.
Thanks for looking :D

Hi Artoo,

The next one should hopefully be up by this weekend.  Once again, not heavy on action, but it'll move the story along and chapter 5 should have some pretty decent stormie body counts  ;D

Thanks for the interest!

When is the next chapter?
