I've never ordered so many cases from Entertainment Earth in my life.

I honestly think Hasbro is purposefully working towards that.  Not only do I get that feeling from what I see in stores and online at HTS, but also from things that they have said in QnA's about figure/wave availability.  Their "tone" in their response just gives me that feeling.

@ McMetal and Pete

Here is what I experienced - maybe it will help you out.

I called in the store giving them the numbers so they can look them up - girl on the other end said there were 24 on the floor.  Went to the store, there weren't.  Girl Looked on the online website, while she was doing this I explained the supposed email that people were talking about.  she then went in the computer and pulled up what appeared to be an update plannogram and after looking it over called someone in the back to grab me some.

Enter ******* supervisor.  He was a jerk and came up with a very curt tone and just kept saying "we can't sell them" to everything I had to say.  Eventually I accepted that he was not going to do anything about it - I glanced at his name tag so I would remember his name and was going to file a complaint about his attitude with me - after that I left the store.  When I went out to my car I thought to myself that this was BS, they said they had them on the floor specifically - I am going back in for another round.  I went back in and the supervisor was ringing people out and it was busy upfront.

Enter store manager who just clocked in for work.  I explained EVERYTHING to him, even about the supervisor.  The manager looked up the email like I told you and went to the back to get them and brought them out to me.  After I grabbed the ones I wanted I asked if I could speak with the manager aside from the supervisor, he did.  We talked.  I explained to him how I wasn't too thrilled with the supervisors lack of addressing my questions - and not be willing himself to look up the email.  The manager said nothing in regards to me about how the supervisor would not have received the email.  From a retail standpoint I know he would, the supervisor was the opening manager of the morning until the store manager got there - so it would have been the supervisors duty to assign coworkers to do things that morning - ie set planno's.  So he has to pull them up from the same system.

So I went in the next morning (saturday) and guess what?  everythin was set up per the new plannogram.

The manager of the TRU pulled up his email right in front of me and, while I didn't see it with my own eyes what was written, after reading what was on the screen he said - "yup, we can sell them now".

dang!  they just brought in a bunch of those to Target near me and they are still full price.  Might need to try and scan one and see what it says on the scanner

Seems like HTS has opted to sell cases instead of individual figures which pretty much sucks.

Yes we were discussing this at 'scum.  I was amused that Hasbro's own online store has enough issues with the case assortments that they'll only sell the entire case now, so as to avoid being stuck with pegwarmers.

This should be their first clue to do a better job with the assortments.

I really do think I am going to call in a complaint to HTS about that.  Not certain if it will do anything - but I don't want customer service at HTS to not hear about this issue either and let them know that they are pushing me to other sources to look for product.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: How's the weather?
« on: June 24, 2010, 07:07 PM »
Lately the weather here has sucked.  This has been the rainiest June in....  forever!  Seriously, just heard on the news today that since the year 18whateva when people started recording weather history, this has been the rainiest June ever in NW Indiana.

Since last Friday we have had 3 big storms go through the area - 2 of them producing wind gusts of over 80 mph - one storm produced a Tornado which thankfully didn't touchdown until after the storm had passed me a couple towns over.

I think this game will do well, but I seriously think they should have worked out a way to get this game running on the XBox 360. And if a keyboard and mouse is an issue, work with Microsoft and one of their partners to finally develop a "official" wireless keyboard and mouse for the XBox 360. Once that's available there should really be no issues.

I am asking because I don't know - but I would think there would be issues with a game of this magnitude working on a system.  Wouldn't the constant updates mmoprg's require be an issue on a console system?

That might not be the right reason why it doesn't go console - but I guess we a similar question that should/could be asked is why hasn't a game like WoW gone to consoles?

edit:  found an article regarding WoW on consoles:  http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/703047/blizzard-thinks-about-a-console-world-of-warcraft-all-the-time-prospects-dim.html

Bossk looks very bleh to me.

I am wondering, is the CW version going to be out the same time the SL version is?  While I don't hold the same "collecting" traits/values as a kid, I can't see why anyone would pick up the CW version over the SL one if they were both sitting side by side on the pegs.

For some reason I am getting the feeling Boba will come with his ship, and not single carded.

edit:  ah, I see this has already been discussed a bit.

I was overall pretty happy with this line - but that is because I nabbed every single pack figure at a sweet price.  Pretty sure I nabbed most every one of them, except for the final wave, during a TRU sale - it was 2 for $10 and for every $20 spent you got a five dollar gift card that was usable like "x" hours after your purchase.  So, I just made several stops there throughout the week and in the end I was basically getting 4 figures for $15.

I was also able to get many of the other things at low prices during other various sales.

Now, with all that said, and being pretty happy with the ROC - I am very happy with what is coming out in the POC line.   One thing I may argue though is that I kinda grew used to the Tatum head, and I think I like the new Duke head less - especially on the upcomming jungle figure, I feel it has weaker paint apps on the head.
