Despite my initial excitement, I decided to wait to pick it up for awhile after seeing some of the initial reviews and knowing Ubisoft's record with buggy games at launch. The last few Assassin's Creed games were super buggy at launch, but they got patched over the next few months after launch. I'd rather wait until that happens with Outlaws to play more of a complete game.

I ended up deciding to play Witcher 3 instead. I already owned it, had gotten it for free, and had never played it. Currently, that feels like the right choice. However, I am still looking forward to playing Outlaws one of these days.

There is also a big dark shadow out front of the cantina but behind the new set, it may just be a continuation of the wall shadow but it looks more to me like it could be a shadow from the 9000 Z001 landspeeder.

LOVE IT.

I started with 3 (may change that to 2 later) and will also pick up a few more on clearance eventually. I love the little crates, we can't get enough of that kind fo stuff in the line.

In the panel they said it was a "great new body to build on" (meaning more lady officers are coming).  Looks like at least the torso is new, not sure if they re-used the arms or legs from something else.

The legs & arms look to be the same ones from the Cal Kestis / Piett body. I think it is just a new torso. It looks good either way though. I've been wanting a Deedra for 2 years now. Count me in for a couple.

Very solid wave overall, not the theme, but the overall quality of the figures is good.

Luke looks pretty good, but I am not necessarily completely sold on the Mark Hamill likeness still. I wish it was a little more definitive like this year's Leia this year was. But it is pretty close and the body looks great. The cardback is of course fantastic.

Anakin looks real solid. It will be interesting to see what parts are reused on there. I didn't immediately pick them up, but I was watching while working.

I just noticed that the Ahsoka show clone officers don't have the blue dots on the torso armor. At first, I though it was a miss on Hasbro's part and then I looked closer at the source material and it seems to be something they left off in the show. Interesting. That does look like a new Phase I non-removable helmet to me.

Mine also arrived today, too. Live them too.

It's close to Kanan & Zeb, but the Blurrg may be my favorite TVC release of the year. Top-notch work by Hasbro. Creatures & beasts were sorely missing from the line for the last few years, and I am glad to see them come back with such a bang. I will happily rebuy more of these guys w/ other pack-ins or in an alternate Ewok movie set.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

(Sorry, I had to.)

A true cinematic legend. He will be greatly missed.

Same, really excited for this set. :-)

Paid and ready to ship.  This is one that I'm really looking forward to, as Hasbro gets really serious about releasing the crew of the Ghost.

Speaking of... whatever happened to the maybe-pipelined S1 outfit releases for all the main Rebels cast? I could have sworn they were pipelined by Hasbro when the Ghost was revealed, and then there seemed to be some confusion when the Ezra we got this year was the Ahsoka hologram version. Are the three Rebels figures on Jason's rumor list S1 Ezra, Hera, & Sabine? I was hoping we'd see some other releases from Rebels there, like Kallus, an Inquisitor, etc. - but I guess I'd be happy either way.

1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Re: 1/6 Sideshow Greedo (2024)

Looks good. I thought they had pretty much exclusively turned into a Hot Toys distributor for 1/6" scale. When was the last time they made one of their own? I wonder if this is a one-off or if they are reviving their own line.

Of course, I just overpaid (slightly) for the 2019 version a few months ago...

My Pilot sets arrived today. I'll never say no to some Rebel pilot figures. I'm digging the Duros pilot. I wish they would have tweaked the female pilot base slightly, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with the set.

Thanks everyone, sincerely. It was days after my 50th birthday, such a wake up call for what the rest of my life means to me.

I did not intend to derail the thread

PLEASE!

I think it's a sign of the quality of a community when we can set aside our hobby and have a conversation about what's important - THE PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY!  I know that you and I discussed this in another setting, but I'm still very glad that you can see that people care, and are glad that you got treatment and are doing better.  I know that I am.  And it's a reminder to us all that we're not the little kids who saw the OT in the theaters anymore.  We have fuller lives, families, responsibilities, etc, and that we have to be more conscious of taking care of ourselves.

Wholeheartedly agree. Don't feel bad for 'derailing' anything. We are just talking about movies, tv, & toys here normally, none of which are particularly important in the grand scheme of life.

Welcome back! :)

I also took a hiatus for a while and returned to collecting a few years ago. For me, I found that trying to be patient when looking for deals and prioritizing the things I like most rather than just buying anything because I want to complete "TVC" has helped me both stay excited about the hobby and not overspend on backfilling the collection. I've been trying to spread TVC 1.0 and some of the earlier TVC 2.0 stuff out over the years rather than going for it all at once. I have been buying older figures here and there when I see a good deal or there is a figure I want to pick back up. You could always keep an eye out for lots too, and you may luck out.

I also changed my tune a bit with the TVC 2.0 repacks, for the most part I am ok with just getting the cheaper 2.0 repack version of a figure and calling it good.

******* A dude??  You doing ok?

Yes, thanks, much better these days. It wasn't an event as much as a slow build up. The doctor who fixed me up said it looked like it had been going on for a week or more, and I knew I felt bad but I just kept pushing through, until the goddamned Acolyte.

No I am just kidding, the show didn't do it. It wasn't until I spent the next day out with my sons that I really noticed I was slowing down and out of energy...then I took myself to the ER to get checked out. We're all getting older, here -- keep an eye on yourself!

Woah man. That's really scary. Glad to hear that you thought to go get yourself checked out after noticing something was off and that everything was okay, considering. Wishing you the best in your recovery.

"all Acolyte merch" was really only some T-shirts and they are back now for the most part.  Seems like it was a temporary thing.

It was enough for the fandom menace a-holes to get more clicks.

Ah, good. I guess I didn't see how much had been on there in the first place.
