Finding a thrashed one would be near impossible I think, seeings as they are bought by adult collectors like myself who are slightly neurotic about condition. I did see a loose Luke and Leia from the Early Bird Set a while back though. Funny thing was he wasn't selling Chewie or R2.

I just got my first three Kubricks from DSJ in a trade, these guys are neat.  I'm not up to browsing through all 26 pages and was wondering how you guy's display these?  Sealed in plastic or loose?  Do they make a display case for the standard figures?

I have almost a complete set of Matrix Kubricks on the way as well!  I still need Twin 1 & 2 and Morpheous.  Anyone know where I can pick up these other then ebaY?  BBTS, sells random individual figures, seems like an unusual concept.

Today Dale I did the unthinkable...

I free'd them from the plastic ;D  Glad I did, these things are great!

Is $40 for a loose early bird set with box and stand a good deal?  Also, Iv'e seen some ROTJ set, is that a Kubrick's knock off?

Be free they tell me!  ;D

$40 for a loose set is a good price as they go for $100. plus for a mint set. I suspect that auction will go for more than the $40. opener.

As for the ROTJ set, they are bootlegs if this is what you are talking about.

Uh...  I probably wouldn't tell Dale that, Matt.  Otherwise he may never send you any of his extra Kubricks again!   ;)  Discretion is the key, so - Sssshhhh...

$40 for that set is a GREAT deal Matt.  I'd jump on it if I were you!!!  Or is that just a current price on an auction, in which case - yeah, it'll still go way up.  These things usually go for about $100 - $125.

Those bootleg sets are pretty fun too.  I was buying those knockoffs before they ever started releasing the Kubricks.  I just recently saw a complete set of the 3 different movie boxes, plus the Carbonite Han, go for about $57 on eBay.  Not too bad.  I think I paid a little more than that when I got the same items several years ago.  I'd still like to pick up the bootleg Speederbike and the canned Fett though.  Been putting those off for a long time.

Close, Snow Boy.  Just flip flop those two words around there, and you've got it!   :-*

That would be an auction opener price.

Dale,

Great avatar, that guy looks familiar.  I think I actually saw him at Comic Con this year.  Probably famous, I think I saw him sitting at the table next to Sean Austin signing autographs.  Hmh...or maybe it was the other way around.  He was standing in line yelling, "Sam...Sam...sign my shirt!"

Maybe, he's the guy I saw while watching the Laker Game.  I think he was next to Shaq exlcaming, loudly "peanuts, get your peanuts."

All joking aside, who is that guy?  He looks famous or rather infamous!

But don't ignore my cool new avatar too though!  It's of some snow dork way up in the great Northwest.  Bitchin' hat, huh?  Now if I can just dig up a picture of you somewhere Matt, you'll be sorry!   8)

Now what were we talking about here?   ???
