Dang, I was hoping the Ahsoka & Order 66 droids 4-Pack would have been in that sale. I had held off buying extras after the last few Amazon 4-packs went on sale so often.

Post here if you see that go on sale.  I didn't even pre-order or buy one yet.  I'm not as interested in this set and like you say, they've all gone on sale at some point.

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2024 Last Figure Standing Poll

Next round is up.

Pick six out of the final ten:
- Wrecker
- Anakin Skywalker (E3)
- Baze Malbus
- C-3PO (ANH)
- Luthen Rael
- Crosshair
- Snowtrooper
- Qimir / Stranger
- Arleil Schous (ANH)
- Asajj Ventress
- Obi-Wan Kenobi (E3)
- Tech

I don't frequent other sites so I really don't understand what people are looking for in Anakin, Kenobi, C-3PO, Snowtrooper, etc. on figures we've already got bunches of.  I voted for the never been done figures, which conveniently is six.

N-1 Mando Starfighter is marked down 32%.  Might pick up some of the TBS helmets...

This and the advent calendar are up now.

Jayson is saying on Yakface that these and the single carded droid are going back up on Monday.

You guys cannot post about Jimmy Carter right ahead of his 100th birthday in this thread of all places.

I saw the family photo that the family should never have released.  Let the man have some dignity!

Hasn't the guy been in hospice for something like two years?  Tough dude.

Sometimes their stuff can sell out kinda quickly, like in a few days, but I don't recall an item like this that is available in their stores selling out in an hour or two.  There is nothing particularly new and exciting about any of this so I can't imagine there was any kind of extra demand.  I would expect that these will be back online at some point.

$80 :(

Yeah, these aren't cheap, especially for repaints.  The one they did back in 2022 was $70 so I guess we're seeing $10 in gouging inflation.

Looks like they pulled these back down again...

Brutal with the charity auction. I hope eBay feels like **** about their system that allows for this.

I just got an email to rate eBay's "buyer guarantee" process for my most recent sold item returned to me my a dumbass buyer.  I lit them up as much as possible about the totally one sided aspect of their guarantee.

I really wish there were other alternatives to eBay where they might feel some competition and get back to their old model where people just worked it out.  If a seller wasn't reputable they would get a crappy rating and nobody would buy from them or anyone with no feedback.

Kris Kristofferson and Pete Rose had a good run in to their 80s, but Dikembe was only in his late 50s.  Too young.

And talk about a good run - Jimmy Carter is about to turn 100!

You've got a much bigger pair than I've got.   ;D   I won't list anything that expensive on eBay.  My threshold is about $350.

I've got my UCS Blockade Runner listed on Bricklink.  I don't think there are any scams anyone can pull on Bricklink so I figure once I ship it my hands are clean.  I always offer insurance at the buyers expense.

With eBay you're on the hook for everything and selling a $1700 set there would give me an ulcer.  Although I just had a guy buy 23 individual sets for that much so I guess you can always get screwed somehow if someone is trying to do so.

Scammers could take your stuff and send you back a bag of dog **** and eBay would say you're forced to take the item back.  Maybe eBay will flag their account as a known a-hole, but its easy to set up a new eBay account so I'm not sure that is really a deterrent.

It is odd that someone would bother to haggle before screwing you over because they'll get their money back either way.

Its the sad reality that massively positive feedback, a 25 year account, etc. gets you nothing these days with eBay.

I think the reality is that if you're selling on eBay you just need to accept that you're going to get screwed every so often and should be really careful about selling really expensive stuff.  You're already paying 15% in fees to eBay, and then getting stuff stolen adds to that overhead which is frustrating as a seller.

Knock on wood but I've managed to escape mostly unscathed from this summer's Lego sales I've been doing on eBay (although I'm putting the really expensive stuff on Bricklink).  Only one customer returned their stuff in the same condition I got it.  He bitched that the box was damaged more than expected when the the description and photos clearly showed the damage.  Whatever, I just relisted it and sold it to someone else.

TV-9D9 / Re: The Mandalorian - Season 4? (SPOILERS possible)
« on: September 27, 2024, 09:32 AM »
I'm really worried a Mandalorian movie is going to kill this story line.  There have been just as many really stupid episodes as there have been really good episodes.  I hope they're really on their A game for this movie as I think expectations are far higher for a movie than a 10 part D+ series where it can meander a bit and survive a handful of nonsensical episodes.

I got mine from Amazon today.  I've already got a bazillion different X-Wing pilots, but this is still a nice set.
