My hope is that the cost/price that Hasbro is charging Amazon and the retailers is the same, and that Amazon and the retailers have just padded the retail price with tariff fees.  If the tariff goes away hopefully that means the total price gets adjusted to remove the tariff fee.  Generally the tariff shows up as a separate fee and isn't directly charged by the manufacturer.

Thanks Jeff.

I gladly ordered Qimir - WTF is Hasbro thinking???  Making an all new, never before made figure???

I reluctantly ordered the Padme and Shaak Ti, but may end up cancelling these.

Years ago I committed to buying all substantially new figures (e.g. redos of Padme and Shaak Ti), but I think I'm about to finally change my philosophy and start passing on most redos.  I've got way too many redo figures that I'll never get around to displaying.  I think with the Battle of Geonosis as the major theme for the year I need to cut bait early and not get sucked in to piles of redos that I really have no need for.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Hasbro HasLab TRON (1982) Set

Hopefully this doesn’t kill the idea of more 3.75 sets…would love a Raiders HasLab (well of souls, Airplane, Ark Opening scene) but also other vintage Disney things like Black Hole, heck even a return of SA 3.75 Marvel figs…bummer this is so DOA

I never even thought of a RoTLA HasLab.  Now that would be pretty sweet.  I wonder if there are enough fanboys out there to fund such a thing though.

Not bad.  In round two I voted for the three that have never been made.

Got mine yesterday.  Looks sharp, although I still wish they put a sound chip in him with some sweet cantina tunes.

This is finally marked down on Amazon. Grabbed it for $38.

So what do people think about the pricing for the HasLab TRON figure set?  Jeff has a good conversation going in Other Toy Lines specific to TRON, but I'm curious if that would work for you and Star Wars.

HasLab Pulse link -> https://www.hasbropulse.com/product/G35465L00

For $260 you get five carded 3.75" super-articulated figures, two lightcycles (Yellow/Blue), and USB-powered light-up Grid display base.

Jeff broke down his stab at value:
5x figures at let's say $30 = $150
2x Light Cycles at $30 = $60
Light Up Stand = $50

Maybe for Star Wars it would be five all new figures, two similar small vehicles (or one medium sized but basic vehicle), and a basic environment (think maybe Moff Gideon's Cruiser hallway).

It might be tough to find some scene specific situations where there is enough new stuff and interest that it would work, but I personally would love this at his price point.

Maybe something like the following:
Andor theme around Mina-Rau (agrarian planet from Season 2)
Casian, Bix, Brasso, Wilmon, Imperial Officer
New speeder bike (Brasso or Wilmon's) or maybe the Imperial transport
Simple yurt-style hut they lived in with basic accessories

Not sure there are 10k people that would find this particular set cool, but I certainly would be interested in stuff like this at this price point.

This would have been great for a Return to Tatooine theme
5 new cantina aliens
9000 Z001 landspeeder
Some tatooine walls, moisture vaporator, crates, etc.

Probably lots of other ideas we could brainstorm, but I would honestly be all over this sort of thing assuming we got five all new figures (limited kit bashing) and a small vehicle with basic environment.  Star Wars HasLabs don't need to be $450 and redo existing stuff when a price point of half that that is more focused on figures and smaller accessories/vehicles would be awesome.

I wonder what the carded buyer adds to the totals.  Like what % of collectors are buying one of each loose/carded or just carded only.  Is it far fetched to guess 40% of the TVC figure sold stay on the card?  There is probably some hint of this in why Hasbro is dragging their feet in finally completing O96 with guys like Sim Aloo.  Once that "Complete the Kenner 96" is done, a lot of those guys may stop buying.

How many on this site are still keeping a carded version of everything without the intention of ever opening it?

I stopped ten years ago when it became clear I'd need at least double the space for my collection and now just keep a very select few carded figures without the intention of ever opening them.

1) carded guys who want a SW cardback 3PO in TVC (VOTC and VC06 were on an ESB cardback)

This really breaks my brain that people want rereleased figures simply for the card versions and if they could choose just a handful of things for Hasbro to make that this would be at the top of their list.

Honestly, if there are enough people that care that much Hasbro should create an exclusive multipack that is nothing but the same figure on different card backs, while they release one for the masses who couldn't care less.  They could release the same C-3PO on a different E2-E9 cardback as part of the multipack and not waste the slot/resources on this kind of thinking.

Overall I think its a solid list with only four "remakes".

I get redos of Baze, Saw, and the Emperor (not what I would choose, but I get it) - but what are people looking for in a new C-3PO?  I've got more than enough C-3POs to last me forever, unless they're going to make me a C-3PO with red Sith eyes, with Babu Frik and a droid hacking chair, but I'm guessing this isn't that.

I keep getting an error message when trying to order this...

Interesting that these are showing up at Ross stores for $18 when Amazon was the exclusive retailer, and has barely budged off of their $70 price.

No Ross stores near me, but hopefully these will end up on eBay for slightly more.

Mine is supposedly being delivered today.  That was fast.

I'm still watching this too.

I think the best I've seen is 15% off and that only lasted a couple of days.
