There are a couple guys on Yakface who haven't received yet in the StL area. Funny thing is, one of them knows others that live in his area that received them, but he didn't (despite getting the emails saying its out for delivery).

« on: January 14, 2025, 11:22 AM »I feel like Disney kind of screwed it all up by having 10 shows or whatever it is in a 3 year span. Hasbro just isn't keeping up. Maybe they could, maybe they can't, I have no idea - but it's pretty clear their attention is heavily divided now compared to years ago when there were just six movies and then EU broadly.
There is this, too. Too much media and not enough resources to get things out. Plus, with Disney seemingly tight-lipped to prevent spoilers, Hasbro doesn't get figure designs until it's too late to meet the release date, so by the time figures from Show A come out, everyone's attention is now on Show C.

I've seen some of the picks for the FB TVC group and it seems there's a lot of calls for animated/EU figures, or figures that haven't been done on vintage card, or because the previous figures need updated, etc. I know my focus doesn't seem to align with a large majority of the group because I never really got into the books or cartoons. Plus, it gets generational, too, since there are certain groups that focus on certain eras within Star Wars.

My interest in Hasbro's offerings in TVC has declined (mostly due to their lack of effort) and I'm kind of ready to quit altogether. On the other hand, I feel GI Joe Classified has been more interesting, though I only get what I'm interested in.
My list for 2024 is:
TVC: Lack of interest is having me lean towards quitting. Will pick up a few that interest me. Would like to hook up with a local to get cardbacks though.
TBS: Out
NECA Universal Monsters: They've covered those I'm interested in, but if they give me a Phantom of the Opera Red Death costume or an accessory pack, I will pick it up.
GI Joe Classified: Have more interest in these, but will pick and choose characters I like.
Transformers: I think I have those that I want.
TVC: Just grabbing OT stuff
TBS: Just grabbing OT stuff
NECA Universal Monsters: I think I've got the ones I'm interested in, and they slowed down on the Universal stuff (doing Hammer now). Still waiting on a Phantom of the Opera Red Death costume or an accessory pack,
