The Prequel Trilogy / Re: The Phantom Menace: Was it That Bad?
« on: April 11, 2006, 03:25 PM »
All the Prequels grow on me after seeing them a few times.   They're not bad--they're just really different from the OT and I think that's where most fans were disappointed.

figures coming your way!

I haven't bought a single one yet.  I can't bring myself to pay almost $7 per figure.  I even passed on Scorch and an Utapau Clonetrooper yesterday (that was hard to do).

Power of the Force 2 / Re: Admiral Piett
« on: April 2, 2006, 03:38 PM »
Definitely wouldn't spend $20 on him--but that's me.  He was an okay figure for the POTF line--nothing spectacular, but there aren't a lot of imperial officers out there either.

Yeah, most of the stands that came with the Saga figures look like they should form something larger, but for the most part (outside of the 3 arena Jedi figures), they really don't.  I think Wat Tambor not connecting to the War Table was most disappointing.

Power of the Force 2 / Re: Freeze Frames & Commtech Chips
« on: March 31, 2006, 10:32 AM »
I have all the Force Files and I think all the Flash backs.
I love the Commtechs--I'm missing some from the harder to find figures that I don't have yet.
I'm missing several Freeze Frames as well.
I don't have a single hologram pack-in yet.

For the most part, Hasbro has done some fun pack-ins without really raising the cost of the figure (at least with the POTF2 line).  The stands that they started doing during the SAGA line were good--a nice replacement to the Commtechs.

I just got mine yesterday for $9 as well.  They'd been holding at $19 for the last couple months.  But I held out until the drop.

Yeah, mine has had a bunch for $19.99 for a long time.  I'm still waiting for them to go down . . . .

You forgot Yoda under the Republic.  With all the other council members listed, he definitely needs to be there.

Power of the Jedi / Re: bespin guard
« on: March 18, 2006, 10:35 AM »
I don't know why they just didn't use a repainted version of the carded figure for the Freezing Chamber Guard.  It seems like that would have saved money on Hasbro's part and given us a better looking figure.
