I like it a lot, Kevin. If I could venture a suggestion, it would be to create some kind of ceremonial head dress for him.

Aye, we haven't seen anything past last year's Marines and Japanese, which is a shame; BOTB S3 figures looked really nice.

Hell yeah in Dallas.  Dallas is in TEXAS afterall.

Right, but Dallas is a whole lot more urbanized than, say, Columbia or Greenville.*

Anyway, I really want to see this movie. I had intended to see it last Sunday, but those plans fell through. Caught Borat on the Daily Show last week, and I was fairly amused throughout.

(*Though I do realize that it's a logical fallacy to equate urbanization with progressive thought.)

The only problem that I had, was that with some of the anti-semetic jokes...the audience wasn't laughing in the right kind of way.  And what I mean by that was, I don't think most people got the joke... I think they just thought making fun of jews was hilarious.

In Dallas?

Then I am loathe to think what the crowd reaction will be here in SudKarolina.

I got Fredrik Ljungberg (71%), Penelope Cruz (66%), Vladimir Lenin (57%). Ain't that a bitch? A soccer player, an actress, and a communist revolutionary.

And with a particuarly unflattering picture, I got...

Pinina Rosenblum (67%), Andre Malraux (58%), Rolad Amundsen (57%), John Belushi (54%), and Sigmund Freud (52%)

...Never thought I'd see John Belushi and Vladimir Lenin associated somehow.

Our unoffical high temperature here in Spartanburg, SC was approx. 79 degrees. Pretty nice day, actually...a few low-clouds, relatively low humidity...it's just too bad that it's giving way to a potentially dangerous evening, however. We've got a broken line of pre-frontal convection moving in from the west. There are a few discrete supercells mixed in with the storms...downtown Atlanta was just under a tornado warning, actually. I wouldn't be all too suprised to see our area under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for next few hours, honestly. While surface instability is lacking, there's plenty of energy in the upper-atmosphere in association with this system for the storms to tap into. Time will tell, I guess.

If $8 is to become the norm across the boards and into the 30AN line, then I'm finished with Hasbro's 1:18th offerings, wholesale. I nearly got out at the begining of this year with the post-ROTS price increase, but this...this is just absurd.

Who's responsible for this increase? Is Hasbro at fault, or is retail?

Too bad the Germans don't come with this many accessories. This is the first be-spectacled soldier we've gotten thus far in any line, isn't it?

What exactly are you supposed to be?

Name's right, Captain Vacuum!  :P

In truth, it was an attempt to create a fictional battle dress uniform that a West German infantrymen might have worn during the 1950s-60s. The idea of using American military equipment (the helmet seen in the picture is actually the inner-helmet of an American steel-pot from Korea) in conjunction with German came from studying the typical uniform designs of Cold War proxy nations the day before...it was very common to see nations supplied by either the US or USSR utilize certain peices of the aforementioned's arsenal.
The picture itself was the result of an extraordinarily boring Saturday afternoon that forced me to catalouge my militaria collection. The picture is intended to be comedic, however. Notice, if you will, the model-esq pose and vacuum cleaner attatchment.

I suppose some explaination was needed for the picture, though. For those wondering, the jacket is a common 1988 West German field jacket.

I'm guessing he donated the money to Southern California and not my native South Carolina?
