Kubricks / Re: Power of the Kubricks!

I expect more bidding as the auction comes to a close, the last few seconds are when bidders come in. I'll take a stab at $135. If it goes for more than $158, I'll poop my pants!

Yeah, that's part of why I was so surprised at how fast it climbed right off the bat.  I've seen stuff shoot up at the end of an auction, but who are these people who bid themselves out of the race on the first day?!?

Eh, I hope he comes down in price.  Once I nab him, I can start setting aside pennies for the unique carded figures (Holo Leia, Droids R2, Droids Fett).  The rest of the carded (Blonde Hair Luke, Million Dollar Fett, and Million Dollar Sandtrooper) I can do without.... for now.  :-\

Picked up the Tatooine wave packs last night (TRU - $5.99).

I agree that the Gam Guard is a bit over-sized (he towers over the rest, especially the ladies and Yoda).

I think my favorite of the bunch though is Lando.  His little removable helmet and sculpt are great!  Nice to finally have Lando in the line-up.

Seller Vinylab just put a bunch up, including Logray and VC Jawa.
Also series 3 set for 45$ BIN
http://stores.ebay.ca/vinylab_W0QQsspagenameZl2QQtZkm

Logray seems to have cooled off after the initial bidding... now hanging at $64.  Up to $61 after the first day, but only went up $3 in the last 2 days.  Wonder where he'll finish up...  :-\

The Jawa Chase seems to have jumped too, he's up to $50 after only 3 days of bidding.

Plus, iPod Mini comes in fun colors!   :P

As for the stategy, I think it's working...  :-\

I love my iPod (20G version) and an seriously thinking about switching back to Mac despite it being 9 years since I last owned an Apple computer (college).

My 20G iPod has ALL of my CDs on it (over 200) and is just under half full!  Plenty of room on there for other stuff - excel files, data, games, etc.  You can even use the dang thing as a digital recorded for audio!

With some of the other software I've added to my iPod, it's even got my Palm Vx beat as I seem to use the iPod more than my Palm for address book/calendar/etc.

My pet peeve for today:

People who think because you are carrying a plate of goodies/treats, it gives them the right to hit on you!

I don't appreciate it when 40-yr old men strike up a conversation with me to discuss my "goodies".   >:(

"Hey, where are you going with those goodies, because I'm headed where you're headed" hyuvk-yuck-yuck
None of your damn business, pervert!

"Hey those goodies look tasty, mind if I ask where you're headed?"
Yes, I do mind.  Thanks for shutting the hell up.

"Looks like somebody brought treats"
No **** sherlock.  You figure that out all by yourself?

Just because I'm carrying a plate of goodies into the office for my department pot-luck does not mean that I want to start a conversation with you, Mr. Complete Stranger.

What the hell is it about a plate of cookies that turns everyone you see into a friggin' treat whore doing everything they can to get one whether they are in the damn department or not?  ::)

I've been trying to figure out what to do with these.  I've given thoughts to selling them all as a lot...selling the PT ones...selling select ones

Size and space and wife nagging have become an issue. :-\

While I think they are neat, I should just stick with 3-3/4" and try and squeeze down the focus a little more

Yeah, right around Halloween, I gave up on these too.  I sold off the Han/Chewie/Vader/Leia/Luke unleashed that I had in order to generate a bit of cash and some space.  Just trying to clamp down a bit on focus and space before teh Episode 3 onslaught hits I guess.  :-\

Of course, I immediately blew the cash on more SW stuff (OTC Slave 1/TRU Jedi Scenes 3&4) and I immediately used the shelf space for Kubricks, so I guess I didn't really gain any ground.   ::)

I should just list what I've bought so you guys can go look for bargains.  Anything I buy immediately drops in price for months afterwards.

Then do me a favor and buy a dang Logray chase piece already!   :P

You know you'll end up with him eventually, so just buy him already!

I think you're right Jeff a Man-E-Faces type reveal thing is what I picture with a button or a wheel on the back

http://www.galactichunter.com/absoluteig/gallery.asp?categoryid=3508

Definately a little button/lever for the face changing action.

Also has a LED in his arms for force lightning effects I guess... TWO action features on one figure!  :-X

Logray is nuts right now.  Holy shazbot!

$43 with 6 days left to go?

Dang... he'll probably end up in the $220 range like the last one I'd guess.

Wow, just 2 days later and I've already gotten my shipping notice on this thing. Should be here today or tomorrow, since their warehouse is just 45 minutes away. Cool! 8)

Looks like the Mini-Busts are arriving already!

In fact, DualSaberMaster recieved his today and was kind enough to send along some pics of his bust:

Gentle Giant Chrome Stormtrooper Update

Looks pretty nice!

Where'd those sexy low BIN's go?!   :P

Well, if 3/4 of the items I listed in an afternoon sold within 30-45minutes of their posting, I'd probably raise my prices too...  :P
