Here's the finals for Sunday.  The only game remaining is Eagles vs. Cowboys on Monday night.

All scores here are final except Dressel vs. Nataku and Famine vs. HoloElvis.

If Nataku's Brian Westbrook scores 0 or 1 TD, Dressel wins.
If Nataku's Brian Westbrook scores 2 or more TDs, Nataku wins.

Well then, if that's the case, I'm not holding my breath...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Snow!
« on: November 12, 2004, 11:48 AM »
I see my post last year was Nov 3rd 2003, still no snow here, but its cold today.  I hope it snows when Colman is here next week :)

hehe

Yeah, 24oF on the drive to work yesterday and today, but no flurrying yet.  Hope it's a good year for snow because the Mrs. and I broke down and bought a snowblower this fall.  Got a great deal on a nice mid-sized one at Home Depot.  :)

We figured that since this will be the 4th year in the house we should finally break down and buy one... no more 70minutes worth of snow-shoveling for me!

Yeah, Amazon still has a Nov 20th date for these, so I'm expecting to see them just in time for the Holiday crunch...

I think I'll just end up ordering them from Amazon and thusly avoiding the holiday-packed TRU crowds full of Grandmas/Moms fighting over the last "hot" toy for their bratty kids  ::)

Here's my list of top ten, in no particular order...

1.  Slim Aloo - Imperial Dignitary
2.  Moff Jerjerrod - Death Star 2
3.  Kithaba - Skiff Guard (aka Vintage Barada)
4.  Klaatu - Jabba's Palace (w/ fuzzy skirt)
5.  Ak-Rev (Weequay Drumer) - Jaba's Band
6.  Hermi Odle - Jabba's Palace
7.  Yarna D'al Gargan - Jabba's Palace
8.  C-3PO - Ewok Village (w/ bendy knees and chair)
9.  Chief Chirpa - Ewok Village (w/ woklings)

and finally..
10.  "Ewok Warrior" - Ewok Village

Take that last one and repaint/re-hash him 4 times as follows:

A) brown/tan with short spear
B) gray/black with 'rock-on-a-stick' club
C) reddish-brown with bow/quiver
D) dark brown with long spear

Just like this:

Call them Lumat, Romba, Warok, Wompus, or whatever the heck you want just give me some more Ewoks!

:)

Gentle Giant / Re: Bust Ups!
« on: November 11, 2004, 02:00 PM »
A friend and I were talking, and this line reminds me soooo much of those one-off Independent Comic Action Figure lines of the late 90s.

You'd see a regular version of the character, then maybe a chase version...
then a glow-in-the-dark version...
then a fire version (red see through)
then a Gold edition...
then an ice version (clear blue)
then a ghost version (cloudy white)
then a radioactive version...

etc
etc
etc

Lame.  GG sure is trying to get the milage out of their molds...  :-\

Once again, I got some moolah from Dave!  (hope you enjoy your vOTC 3PO, most people don't  :P)

Like I said last time, everytime I've dealt with Dave, payment arrives quickly!  Smooth as always indeed...

Thanks again, Dave!

Obviously Kubricks are grabbing a lot of people's attention today!  I've played with the idea of getting into these, I've never even seen one with my own eyes.   Hmmm...

Heh...

I can get you started on that path too, just like I did with the Bust-Ups!  Just send a PM if you are interested... ;)

Oh yeah, and welcome to JD.com too!

Jeff, are these just re-releases of Galoob's prior diecast line, from the mid/late 90's? Or are these all new ships? Looks like the former.

Good eye!

They seem to be made from the same molds, so they will be very similar to the later 90s Die Cast Galoob versions, with the minor paint app variation you'd expect from a re-hash.

So, they will be very similar to that old galoob line, but different enough that most will pick them up for the packaging at least!

Seller miyatoys has the first wave of the upcoming Star Wars Titanium Series up for bid on eBay!  This first wave includes the Falcon, a TIE Fighter, Slave 1, and an X-Wing.

This planned exclusive line of die-cast classic Star Wars vehicles is set to debut next spring along side the Episode 3 preview figures and should retail for around $4.99 each.

Details are still sketchy about wave 2, but look for future waves to branch out into Prequel vehicles as well!

Other Collectibles / Re: Upcoming Playskool Jedi Force Line
« on: November 9, 2004, 04:14 PM »
Yeah, each time I've seen them they have been right next to the GH figure 2-packs.

AND, I broke down and purchased my first Jedi Force figure (Luke) last night.  One of the nephew's birthday is coming up at the end of the month (11-24) and it seemed like it'd make a good gift as he's got a BUNCH of Rescue Heroes stuff.

I guess we'll see if kids actually like them or not at Thanksgiving when he gets his gift!

;)
