17 in a row?!?

Did I hear that right?

Talk about a freight train rollin' through the playoffs... it will take a LOT for either the Wolves or Sacto to stop them (obviously the LAkers can't).

So, according to yodasnews.com, the Sandcrawler is headed to Diamond.

I guess that means it will be available at Comic Shops and the like.

If I had to guess, it would probably end up as a shared exclusive to most on-line sites (like EE and NewForce) since they can order from Diamond, as well as ending up at Media Play/Suncoast like a lot of those Diamond Simpsons sets did...

I hope this pans out to be true.  I always kinda wanted that Sandcrawler.

I'll be watching...and sadly, after this one goes off the air - there will be no prime time sit coms left that I have any interest in.  This is the last holdover from my childhood...

I agree...

I've been joking that I'll be TV free by 2005.

"Friends" is/was a favorite of my wife and I.  We usually plop down on the couch and watch together.  Once it's over though, all I'll have left that I feel the need to watch is "The Simpsons".

Sure, I watch stuff on TV like Alias, Las Vegas, ER, etc but there won't be any shows left that make me want to set the VCR in case I miss them.

Eh, it'll probably be for the best anyway.  Give me more time to read and or play video games...

Hmmm... Actually ON the bases, or just added to the bases with that fancy Ad software?

It probably is the future of advertising in sports I guess.  I once saw a demo of the software that placed an Ad between the uprights during a FG attempt.  They say it will be here soon.

I don't even like listening to sports on TV anymore.  I usually watch a game and listen to the radio coverage, which isn't quite as bad as TV yet (but catching up very quickly).

It really bugs me when I'm watching a baseball game on Fox and hear them say things like:

"And Jones slides safely into second with a double... and you should be sliding into your favorite chair tonight to catch an all new episode of 24!"

or

"This race is as action packed as any I've seen... but not quite as action packed as the next episode of 24!"

It's annoying to have all the commercials during the game too.  I guess Hollywood is just getting in on the action too...

"And Hundley strikes out swinging.... speaking of swinging, guess who's swinging into theaters on July 2nd!  It's Spiderman!"

 :'(

I could have sworn that we had more players than just Sam C.

What happened to that "Spreewell" guy that used to play for us?  Where did he go?

Too much MVP hullabaloo before the game seemed to effect KG somehow... not quite sure what it was.  Sammy C was the man though.  Dang can he shoot the ball when he's hot.

Too bad Bibby was just as hot :(

Eh, it's only one game and as Scott pointed out the T-wolves were great on the road... at least we scored more than the Nets did (heck, Cassell almost scored as many as the Nets did).

Galactichunter.com has a picture of the OTC Slave I:

OTC Slave I

It looks like it is indeed a modified Ep2 Slave I.  The missile launching hatch is still there, but there have been some changes made...

No word on a Carbonite Han Block though :(

Not me!

I thought it was a rule that all new pictures posted had to go through the "sweater-pinkify-ing" process...

Where's the Pink sweater picture!?!  Come on guys, you're letting me down...

Well, you asked for it.

See what happens why you let amateurs try to photoshop?

I'd love to see the Flames vs. Toronto in the Cup Finals.

Go Canada!  Teach those southern boys how the NHL was meant to be played!

I'll go with Calgary over San Jose in 6 games and Toronto over Bolts in 6 games (after Toronto passes Philly in 7 games).

Then I'll go Toronto over Calgary in 7 games.

But again, I'm crappy making picks like this.

Dang.

Interesting to note that 3 of the NFC North's Teams were in the top ten there...

1 - Detroit
7 - Vikings
8 - Chicago

So, while the Vikes got better almost everyone else did too :(

At least I can take some solace that the only team not mentioned is the Packers, who might even be worse this year.  :)

While we're on the subject of T-Wolves, let's give out props to "da Kid".

KG = MVP!

It's a big year for KG, first he gets to round two, then MVP.  Granted, it might have been a closer race had Duncan not been injured and missed 15 games, but in the end KG held out with more rebounds and ppg.

It's a good time to be a Wolves fan.

I, too, am a crappy division-winner chooser, but it never stops me from trying...

AL East: New York Yankees
AL Central:  Minnesota Twins
AL West: Oakland A's
AL Wild Card: Toronto Blue Jays

NL East: Atlanta Braves
NL Central: Chicago Cubs
NL West: LA Dodgers
NL Wild Card: Houston Astros

So far [approx 25 games into the season]:

AL East: Boston Red Sox
AL Central:  Minnesota Twins
AL West: Texas Rangers
AL Wild Card: Chicago White Sox

NL East: Florida Marlins
NL Central: Houston Astros
NL West: LA Dodgers
NL Wild Card: San Diego

Do I win a prize for having two right (AL Central, NL West) so far?

BTW, I would have given my left nut to be at Target Center last Friday night, even watching the last 3 minutes on TV was goosebumps for me...I cannot imagine the roar of the crowd that whole time...you lucky dog Jeff :-*

To top it all off, it was the first NBA playoff game that I've been to see.

I have NEVER experienced the Target Center like that before.  Although, to be honest, the Wild playoff game last year vs. Colorado (game 4) was a little cooler.

Still one of the best Wolves crowd I've ever seen.

So, I'm 1-0 with Wolves Playoff games.  Now, if I can talk my buddy with the tickets into taking me to a round two game vs. Sacto, that'd be pretty sweet too...

Other Collectibles / Re: Unleashed Again

I have yet to see anyone produce a picture of the Red Clone with an actual receit. Even then, that might be doubtful especially if both the standard clone and the red clone share the same SKU. I need to look on ebay and see what is there. That usually helps to confirm.

Well, I've seen THREE reports now that these have hit retail.  All were located in central USA (2 in Kentucky/1 in Tennessee) and all three were found at Wal-Mart....

According to those who have found one, the case =
1x Luke Hoth Pilot
2x Chewbacca
3x Red Clone

They are even starting to hit eBay too:
Star Wars Unleashed Clone Trooper RED VARIANT

It's worth it to note that this auction is from a guy in Tennessee too.  Maybe only the those two states are getting this figure? :)

It's looking like the Red Captain Clone Unleashed may be the real deal...

Hmmm...

I did a bit of digging and turned up some pictures of the employees hard at work for Shopstarwars.com:

I am so glad I am not a collector of busts/posters/etc and have managed to steer clear of them after the initial flub.  I'm thinking of trading my $50 GC to a guy for some figures... I'd probably be better off.
