Star Wars Universe / Re: Boba Fett: The Movie
« on: August 25, 2011, 11:43 AM »
Not all good tales depend on technology. Of course Lucas is free to profit his character, but in the end he will
give Boba another face, he will dispatch Temeura to Kessel mines. ;)

What will happen if they said that Boba could fire 8 blasters at a time before A New Hope?
Only would be a try to diminish his spoils on the classic saga.

But I donīt want to seem purist neither intolerant, the producers are using the feedback from EU
so if the product is not appealing I wonīt watch it.

Of course, Iīll pass on collection items, toys from this Boba production.

I think CGI Yoda is an acceptable change, the puppet has a very hard expression, they softened Yodaīs face to match eps 2 and 3.

Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition
« on: August 18, 2011, 06:29 PM »
Greetings

I havenīt purchased any vintage kenner figure since vintage time, cuase in my country are scrace and extremely expensive.

I want to buy some figures I missed from the original collection and realize it could be better to acquire loose figures, then after saving a bit go for the carded.

I want some advise please

Could you tell me if this C-8 DSCommander is used or new?

http://www.brianstoys.com/store/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=SV3LSDEATHSQUADCOMMANDERC8*C8

All figures with repro gun or weapon are second hand (used toys)?

Thanks in advance,

Sincerely,

As if they actually have shot inside The Executor. All guns smoking.

This artist must have been chosen for the cards instead of the guy from www.rebelscum.com

August 2011 extended trailer, what Filoni Team has achieve and what they need to improve.

1. Count Dooku still bears a large conical head, kinda Rapa Nui monolitic sculpture or Ki Adi Mundi, they need to soften his trace.
2. Clones have evolved specially on rots gear, when they remove their helmets, their heads are regular size, have overcome the vice to bubble heads of the first season.
3. Anakin and Obi Wan are better proportioned, although they tend to heoic height (9 heads tall), Asoka is presented less bubble head than on seasons 1 and 2, but perhaps they could improve more her depiction.
4. Calamari young warriors have been design reusing Naddar Vebb head, when looking at close up of this teenagers or 20 years old guys they look like clones of Naddar. Better a fictional universe of difference.
5. Some combat scenes from secondary characters like ordinary battle droids, aqua droids, low rank clones look pressed by time of edition, they are exposed to a rain of laser rays Rex escapes this leitmotif, but is neccesary to
vary combat schemes.
6. Hope to listen to a more complex dialogue, not at a level too hard for kids, but at a medium degree of complication.
7. Submarine city is ok, it will give insight on Mon Calamari technology.

Power of the Force 2 / POTF2 Recent Purchases
« on: August 15, 2011, 03:56 PM »
Hello there, as an adult collector I suppose most of you are still buying the potf2 figure you have missed in the late 90s. If you pick them at retail, briantoys, ebay, walmart or wherever you choose, this will be the opportunuty to regitrate our purchases and comment the likes on these potf2 depictions of classic characters.

So I was buying at retail during may and july some characters like

the classic stormie with commtech; at at driver which I liked a lot beacuse his combination of different gray shades for boots, suit, etc is superb and more definite than tlc or saga versions.

On previous years I got Thawn, death star trooper and the Jedi Duel tri pack.

I still want to get more potf2 characters and read about your findings.

Extended Season 4 trailer

1. A guy like Desan working for Dooku. (lizard character)
2. Grieevous still fighting Jedi without telekinesis power.
3. Best depiction of Rex and clones in animated 3D style.
4. Mon  Calamari guys very naif in depiction... fans can appreciate
more their ondulatory moves on water scenes.

After watching the databank of Barris on galactichunter, I discovered the good job on the rubber cape and hood. It was a concept almost forgiven on Hasbro figures, since the soft good evolved in high quality cloacks.
Dooku was the last guy with plastic or rubber cape, I wonder if this method could pass to new classic Vader and Obi Wan figures, as a variant, or as possibilities for battle packs.

The neck is too long on Barris, when taking a peek one can thing in ballerina proportions, but is far too long. And the head is slightly looking backwards, like the head position of the white bald tvc rebel commando.

Thanks Jedi Iman

I tried to focus on the case concept
to deliberate if some guys would want
to buy this death star folding lids, when the figures are
re released.

I pass this offer, with all respect to people who buy it.

I think the case is curious, innovative, but perhaps not
a practical case like c3po vintage collector one.

As I wrote on another post... I will look for black endor commando, tie pilot and maybe Farlander.

Greetings.

Lando got lots of updates, the robes, scanner, to match sandstorm scene
only I wonder how much Hasbro advanced in the details of his helmet in comparison to the saga version.

This is a Lando for inside palace, Carkoon and sandstorm.

130 $ is an average 10.83 $ per figure

But Hasbro lists single figures at 8.99 on its online shop,
so it woul cost 108 $ in total

The key of the thing is how desirable results the death star lids at 22 dollars
for collectors. Hardly the lids could become a playset, their primary function is to display.

I think the folding Death Star has come to anticipate a new rerelease of the C3PO or Vader collector cases, even this is the first Death Star case (nice), then a spherical one will challenge sculptorsījob.

Qui Gon and Obi Wan seem to be re releases of Eopie and tlc young Obi versions. The visible update is Darth Maul and Sidious robes. The sith outfit with their significative layers of clothes.

Hope they bear in mind this Sidious evolution for a classic Palpatine from rotj. ::)

This X wing is not only an update for the FX or Dagobah swamp version but its coolest evolution.
In the last 6 years we are being exposed to the concept of evolution among Hasbro toys, and the ultimate
sculpt does not necessarily implies bigger size than the previous release.

The ship evolved in pieces and accesories: the first dashboard, torpedo launcher and belly compartment, not to mention the amazing paintjob. When many guys talk about display of the UBP, is a respectfully option but the tvc version is intended for playing too. ;)
