Yeah, those people that drive around and follow you to your car in parking lots are annoying. And there's been a few times that one of these "mental giants" has actually honked because we weren't loading our kids and packages in the car fast enough.

When I was younger, I lived a couple miles from the local mall and would often just walk there to avoid parking. Some people would get so ticked off when they realized that they had been following me through the parking lot and I wasn't even going to my car. Of course, I must admit that on occasion I did incite this anger by walking through the parked cars with my keys out, looking like I was searching for my car. But boy, that was fun.

If they're going to do it, then they should do it right...with all original members, and not "Wolfie" taking Michael's spot. Can Eddie get along with anyone?

For me, I just have this feeling that the WS will be a rematch of '88.

Oakland and LA.

But this time, the A's will win. Sure, on paper it seems like NY should easily win it all, but history has shown that the best team doesn't always win.

This is one of the very few shows that the wife and I watch (it's difficult to find something we both like).

The show never fails to have at least one laugh-out-loud moment in each episode. Last week's---the very last scene when Michael and Dwight black-lit the motel room. Priceless.

Put a peg on the coin and make it dual-use pack-in.

So, has anyone received one of these without the Comic-Con logo and wording on it?

I just received mine from HTS and it still has the Comic-Con wording on it.

Dances with Wolves is one of my favorite soundtracks (mainly for its very Copland-esque arrangements). I believe the composer also did a number of the Bond films.

Typical of the kind of people we have here at JD, Ryan was kind enough to send me three vTSC stickers so I could obtain one of those rockin' GL Stormtroopers.

Thanks, Ryan! Your generosity will not go unnoticed.

I like 'em!

I know no one really likes to be compared with another artist, but when I first saw these I thought they looked like something from Eric Carle. Plus, I know you do children's books and so does Carle, so the comparison was a natural one. And that guy's made like a gazillion bucks from his art, so you're in good company.

You've been watching too much Inked or Miami Ink  ;)

There's a guy that works in my building that has a dark line about pencil-thick tattooed up the side of his neck. Why? The first time I saw it I assumed it was the result of a freak pen accident, but then I saw it again and realized what it was. I respect people's artistic expression, and I wouldn't judge someone negatively if they had one, but to me, tattoos look like dirt on the skin. I'm sure up real close they may look nice, but from even a normal talking distance, they just look all smudgy and undefined. And this goes equally for men or women. I suppose I'd be more inclined to dislike tattoos on women just because it messes with the natural beauty of the opposite sex.  ;)

However, I did see one tattoo that I did like. A former coworker had a tattooed ring finger band instead of a traditional wedding band. I thought that was cool, significant and didn't detract from her appearance. And I actually would have liked to do that when I got married, but my wife was just a little too attached to the idea of a princess-cut diamond.

I'm dreading the day one of my daughters comes home with a tattoo on the very skin her mom and dad have been relentlessly slathering sunscreen on to keep it healthy and clear.

Modern Classifieds / need three vTSC redemption stickers
« on: August 28, 2006, 11:03 AM »
Just fishing to see if anyone has some extra vTSC redemption stickers (of any of the figures) for the Lucas Stormtrooper figure. I've got two Greedo stickers, and need just three more to be able to pick up a Lucas to open. Just let me know.

Thanks!

A supernice JDer came through on this one, so mission accomplished!

Back to the traffic idiots...

I was unfortunately reminded of this one this morning. Tailgaters driving monstrous SUVs/trucks that love to keep maybe three feet between their front bumper and my own back bumper, all while going 70 mph, then, before I even have a chance of moving into the slow lane to let the idiot pass (even when the fast lane is clear), he zooms into the slow lane, passes me, then immediately veers into my lane ahead of me where I can clearly read his "United We Stand" bumper sticker and American flag window sticker.

United we stand, indeed. Unless, of course, someone's in your way in traffic, then it's every idiot for himself.

Yeah, another pet peeve...cliched bumper stickers that mean absolutely nothing.
