Yeah... there's a lot of talk here about the goings-on at the Scum.  Mostly it's stuff that should be discussed in the open over there but it's not permitted.  Since it's gotta be talked about somewhere, it's done here.  It's nice to have a place where we're free to discuss whatever we want.   ;D

I don't have any problem with the Scum.  Some of the policies are assanine, but it's Phil's to run like he wants.  I don't appreciate how complaints are deleted more readily that they're addressed, but I suppose in a forum of that size every complaint's a pain.   I love the Vintage community there.  Wuher's is amusing.  It doesn't hold a candle to Watto's, but it gets a lot of traffic.  Every place has its strengths and weaknesses.  And they're all connected.

I was curious if it was because she participated in that "My Friend's Website" porn thread without deleting the porn link.  That thread was active for at least 8 hours after it was posted... live link and all.

But that's just a theory.  I don't have any reliable info.

The Core package is not backward compatible.  You need the HDD to download patches that'll allow old games to run.

I might stop a few places and see if I can score one.  Too much money to be made on eBay not to.

But why would you care if people you don't respect make fun of you? I just don't understand the logic.  It'd seem the current situation, where people are passing around the photo behind your back, would be significantly more aggrivate to you than if you just posted it and were done with it.  Just my take.

I know that Lady Jaye is extremely sensitive about her identity getting "out there".  I've never understood why....

I've never understood why people are like that, either.  Unless you're disfigured or grotesque, or extremely overweight, why would anybody be afraid to share their photo?  Nobody here is ideal.  It's not like anybody outside these forums will ever see them.  I've posted my photo dozens of times, and outside the community nobody would even recognize me.  Hell, 95% of the people in the community probably wouldn't recognize me.

My point - it's really no big deal.  When people make a big deal out of it, I usually conclude that they want the attention more than anything else.

On an island all by myself for the rest of my life?

1 - porn
2 - porn
3 - porn
4 - porn
5 - The 5th Element (because I can watch that film constantly and never get sick of it)

you'd start letting some nudity slide in the hotties thread, but nobody's perfect.

Can that be our present?

I think it was.   ;D

Congrats, guys!  You run a great site, here.  You'd think after 3 years you'd start letting some nudity slide in the hotties thread, but nobody's perfect.

Interesting fitness web site, there...

Most of those women, though, could be used as personal floatation devices.

Myatt's quote is pretty terrible.  It makes it sound as if we were forced to suffer through half a day of tedium in order to experience this big pay-off.  First of all, nobody that was born prior to May 2005 even had the capability to sit through 12 hours of Star Wars for this big pay-off.  I sat through six hours to get to Vader's redemption.  I'm sure everyone else here did, too.  So the quote is inaccurate.

But mostly it just diminishes the whole Saga.  We don't just sit through it, we delve into it.  We savor it.  We go back to it over and over and over again.  We watch the movies to watch the movies, not just to get to the end.

Dave must have been trying to sound clever, and it came off poorly.

I wonder why they do that? Its a little misleading. They know you want the action, they entice you by showing you action, then they give you drama  ???

Because guys won't march out in droves to see a movie all about a bunch of guys sitting in a tent in the desert talking about their feelings.  ;)

Minor plot spoilers:

Be warned - every review I've read has said there's virtually no military action in this film.  It's a character/drama movie, not a war movie.  The plot focuses on how they get to Iraq and are disappointed that there's no fighting to do.
