I was able to get all of week one plus Vader thanks to a friendly employee today.  The watches don't interest me, but I love the little Super D guys.

So far I haven't seen or heard anything in the Saga line that absolutely blows me away.  Usually as the calender flips over and we get an idea of the year ahead there's one figure or two that gets me going, but not so far with Saga.

There's some great stuff (the AT AT Driver for one) but like Jesse said, the articulation seems to be in retreat, the main characters we want redone are either going to be repacks, or $5 more expensive (VOTC, if it's true).

Sigh... I kind of want this now.  Why oh why is this an exclusive?  And in last year's packaging?  And why am I broke, is the more important question.

I actually counted the Neimodians at my Target after hearing about the clearance and was surprised to find only two.  This was down a lot from just a few weeks ago, and it makes me wonder if they didn't clear some space just to get all the massive numbers of C1 stuff in lately.

But he still warms elsewhere, along with the usual suspects.  Vader is terrible now, too.

I've yet to see any C2 figures, all the way back to Tarkin.  It sucks big time here, even though we're swimming in C1 stuff.

Yeah, I had a crush on her too after I saw that.   :)

I think my Target overdid it.  Nothing is moving, not even #41's now, and they're the only place in town that has these figs.  I figure they'll dry up as we get to the holidays though.

The latest wave of ROTS repacks/repaints is out.  Found 'em at WM.  Holo Sidious is neat, and so is the Utapau Clone.  The Kashyyk Clone has an amazing paint job.

Flash forward to 2008: TSC #341 - Covert Stealth Wookie Hologram.   ;)

I'm bored.

The new RS 411 is Naboo

Some interesting news in this wave.  Holographic Maul (yay, never liked the WM one - he had no face tats).  Could it be a Evolutions Maul?  The Trophy edition?  Hmm.  The Obi Wan is perplexing.  Kind of hoped it would be the Trophy one at long last, but maybe it will kit bash Pilot Obi as RS suggests (sweetness).  And a Naboo pilot with tench coat!  Yes!

I only hope they re-use these molds somewhere (it's a bit silly not to if you ask me) and I agree, charging an extra $4-5 is nonsense when I just bought an Obi Wan Pilot for $4.31.

After X Mas for sure, if not sooner.  Good news about the Neimodian, but actually at my Target, the AT RT Driver and Obi Wan Pilot are more abundant than him, only because they got like 20 cases of those with only 1 Bly and Gree in it.   ::)

I imagine TSC will be the line until the TV stuff pops up, whenever that is, so the numbering is probably a safe bet on Hasbro's part.  But then a sure fire way to scare off new kiddies in 2007 is to pick up a figure numbered #127.   :)

The Biker Scout and Endor Han are great news, but I was hoping for something about PT characters.  Maybe there will be yet (and a Snowtrooper).  Hammerhead would have made more sense in this line than in the other if you ask me.  I think they've covered Greedo fine.

Middle Earth / Re: LOTR Trilogy Figures
« on: October 31, 2005, 11:18 PM »
I think Ben and I were talking about this the other day, but I don't think SW will fizzle out right away.  LOTR didn't either (it's been almost two full years since ROTK - holy **** now that I think about it...) and SW has a much more robust and dedicated core base.  Of course time will tell, but iI don't think t's any where near over.

As for LOTR itself, it's a shame, but they had an incredible run.  Really great selection of characters and it was sort of a mini SW in terms of collecting.  It was fun while it lasted.
